The staff were so helpful and welcoming. Our meals in the restaurant were lovely and there were lots of gluten free options. Our room (24) was really spacious and had everything we needed. Also very good location, especially for the ferry. Would definitely stay again.

Wasn’t completely clear where breakfast was served so a few of us were waiting in the pub restaurant for a while, before a member of staff told us it was served in a different area. We were in a bit of a rush to catch an early ferry so didn’t have time to enquire but it didn’t look like there were many gluten free breakfast options. Our room was also very hot due to the warm weather. There was a fan but perhaps needed another or air con.

- The location was perfect with it being a stones throw from Poole Quay. - The bedroom furniture was lovely - Shower was powerful - Tea and coffee along with some shortbread was in the room - lovely touch with the biscuits :) - The receptionist was super friendly giving us all the information we needed for our stay. - The place itself is warm, inviting, clean and lovely.

- The bathroom panel was cracked and worn. - The light in the hallway was on the whole night so the room wasn't completely dark due to the gap under the door of the room (22) - The staff in the bar wasn't very friendly at times and seemed fed up, not sure if they were having a bad day!

Really warm welcome from the guy on Reception. We arrived early and our room wasn't ready so we just went to the bar for a quick drink and in no time our room was ready. The room was clean and just what we needed for one night stay. Location was perfect only a minute from the Quay.

The guy on reception advised they are waiting for the hotel to have a refit, and yes it does need it, the hotel looks tired. I did not like the fact that we could not open the window in the room.

We had a spacious room which looked as if it had been recently refurbished - the curtains were particularly impressive! The bed was firm and comfortable. Tea, coffee and biscuits were refreshed each day (the shortbreads were really nice). Plenty of wardrobe / drawer space for clothes. Room was a good temperature and the windows could be opened. Breakfast was great, with plenty of options, ranging from a full English to porridge, pastries, fruit, yoghurt and cereal. The Antelope is a huge pub - very spacious, lots of room to sit and have a drink or a meal both outside and inside. Great location, about 20 minutes' walk from the railway station but right by Poole Harbour - handy for boat trips etc. The Antelope itself does food but there are lots of other pubs and restaurants nearby as well if you fancy a change.

The only problem was the noise coming from the courtyard - presumably a generator - which ran on and off all night, otherwise it would have been very quiet.

Room was cosy (22) but it was adaquate for the stay, location was right in the town and handy for anywhere. Due to council roads, I parked up in 7 Lagland Street, Poole, BH15 1RS, as it was only £5.95 for 24 hours using the NCP app and about 5 minute walk back. Had an evening meal, but I think there was a bit of a mix up as we waited about an hour to have our order taken and then 3 starters came out followed by the forth when the rest had finished, but the food was really nice.

I have stayed here before so that in itself indicates I like it It has been ensured the building retains its old-world character. The food, (dinner and breakfast but especially the first) is excellent, with plentiful menu choices. The speciality sundaes for dessert are especially yummy!

I previously commented that the water for, washing and showering is very hot, and I had an unpleasant, albeit short, shock. In fairness, there are signs advising of very hot water so it might have been partly my fault. Nonetheless, I also commented I had difficulty regulating the shower and I'm unconvinced that was down to me. I suspect others have experienced it. although I knew what to expect this time, I still had the same difficulty and although I didn't suffer a shock, I had difficulties getting the shower to a fully comfortable temperature and it was still a bit unnerving. I, therefore, reiterate my comment that there should be instructions on regulating the shower and a notice on the wall advising guests to read it.

We really liked the friendliness of the staff and the location is perfect in Poole, easy to get to buses/trains/berlybikes and very close to other pubs and restaurants. Breakfast was nice and our room was cleaned every day (unless we requested otherwise)

Our room was very small (although this was the room description) it would be fine for short stays however the bed wasn't very comfortable. Overall it was a great place to stay.

All very good and very friendly. A comfortable and older feel about the place which was refreshing. Centre of the town and close to the habour.

No parking on site, but a public car park around the corner. Some of the rooms were tucked away and needed careful climbing of stairs - but all due to the age and characteristics of the hotel - therefore not really a criticism.

I thought the location was brilliant. The multi-storey car park was less than 5 mins walk away and only cost a total of £23 for 4 days off "coming and going" parking. The staff were all great and very friendly

I thought the "small" in "small double room" would be the room and not the bed. My husband and myself aren't particularly big people but we found the bed to be too small. I would definitely return but pick a room with a larger bed. I thought everything else outshone the bed situation though

Good value for money. The room was clean and comfortable and the food from the pub was very nice. The staff were friendly and helpful and the overall experience was very good.

There wasn't really anything I didn't like. I got poached eggs on toast for breakfast and the toast wasn't buttered but to be honest that's just me being picky.
