Great location, parking (extra charge but reasonable), good facilities (bar, restaurant). Clean, comfy rooms. Great view of harbour (depending on selected room type).

Grumpy manager in restaurant. Arrived for breakfast at 10.00am to be told we were late. Our room card said breakfast at weekends was until 10.30 so we had plenty of time. Made to feel very uncomfortable. All other staff were really helpful. Perhaps just an off day?

We didn’t have breakfast

Unfortunately our room was right next to door from reception. So the slamming went on all evening & we had traveled a long way so wanted an early peaceful night.

All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel has its own carpark just outside, so access is easy. There is also a bus stop right outside the front door, which has open top tourist buses and buses to Sandbanks and Bournemouth. The hotel is on the end of Poole Quay, so provides easy, flat, walking access to the pubs and restaurants on the quay, and other attractions like tour boat outings around Poole Harbour and the Jurassic Coast. Our room had good views over the small marina, part of the harbour and Brownsea Island. The hotel has its bar, and its own restaurant for breakfast and evening meals. It's easy to walk out of the front door, turn left, and your in the large local parks, away from traffic and by the sea.

Nice big bathroom and bath. Beds were comfy. Always someone on the desk. Great location. Ironing board and iron in room, and extra heaters.

Hotel receptionist took for 3 days parking payment without asking if I wanted to pay for the duration, but she couldn't guarantee a space as it was a public car park, not hotel only. The car park is full during the day due to builders working locally parking there, and tourists as it was on the front, unlike the multistory car parks. I opened a window which wouldn't shut. I had to be creative to achieve it. Tea and coffee facilities weren't topped up properly, but I asked at the front desk for what I needed.

This is a very comfortable hotel in a great location with a bus stop for the no 1 circular bus right outside and car parking to the rear. The restaurant and bar serve good food at reasonable prices, and there are good restaurants nearby, including Rockfish, an excellent seafood restaurant. Breakfasts were excellent, but the sausages could have been better. We were staying for a special unusual reason, and the staff couldn't have been more understanding and helpful.

Our room 10 is on the ground floor and lacks privacy due to an outdoor bar area that was raised, and customers could see straight into our room. Also, smokers frequented the area outside our window, and I had to close the window to stop smoking from coming into our room. There were many clients with dogs which were out of control and barking in the corridor even at a late hour. The lawn area outside our window was used by them as a toilet area, and I didn't see any owner recovering the mess, which is very inconsiderate to the gardeners.

The location was excellent for what we needed. There was plenty of parking available on our arrival. The self-service for breakfast was good and the options of availability was excellent.

As there were 2 of us, there was only 1 chair available and a desk chair in the room so we had to take turns. When sitting on the bed it was uncomfortable as there was a picture placed directly where our head was. The pillows also covered up the three light switches which were available for the smaller wall lights so you have to be careful We're not advised that there was a bike display being held during our stay. We felt that we had to go out to get away from the noise, even though we had been out most of the day, especially as it started/finished directly outside the hotel.

Location amazing right on Quay with shops, restaurants and bars very close by with parking available right behind hotel at a discounted rate Friendly helpfully staff Room clean and had a fridge iron fan and hairdryer windows that open slightly for those that like a bit of fresh air but no air conditioning Beds and pillows comfortable There was a wedding reception very close to our room but the soundproofing was excellent and we couldn't hear a thing once in our room

The only criticism i could make would be the Room we stayed in could do with painting the painted woodwork was a little shabby and bathroom was a little tired but I think the price reflected that and it was clean so we were totally happy

The Reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast staff were less so. We came down for breakfast at 9.40 on the first day and nearly everything was gone on the hot counter. Just some baked beans left! Breakfast is supposed to be be from 7-10am but if you were late there was little left, pastries for example, little hot food. The second morning we were early and there was hot food out, but the staff were just as morose.

Breakfast. Bar was fine, reception staff fine and the young girl who took our lunch details on the second day was delightful. The lunch was also very good.

Room very quiet and quite spacious. Restaurant had excellent views. Breakfast was superb - lots of choice and the cooked food was nicely done.

The toilet flush was sluggish and one often had to wait and flush again to clear the toilet bowl. The restaurant and bar menus were a bit limited and it was hard to find items on the menu that did not include a lot of carbohydrate. Older customers like ourselves like to avoid rice, pasta and potatoes because they put on the weight! A wider range of salads with the seafood would be good.
