Location is fantastic. The bed was comfortable and there is a reasonable restaurant (or close to many other options). A super shower and bathroom, although need to close the curtains (or door) in order to use the toilet as it is closely overlooked by other buildings. The staff were all really friendly and very helpful. A decent number of power sockets too which is often not the case in older buildings.

The WiFi was a little ropey. The lift only goes to the 2nd floor and had no internal lighting which was a bit strange. Overall however the accommodation was great and very close to the centre of town. I would stay again if in the area.

The hotel is in a perfect location, right in the town square. Our room was very clean and beautifully decorated, the whole hotel including the bar and restaurant area is very pretty with plenty of seating. Room was well equipped with everything we needed including a fan which was much appreciated as the room was very warm. The staff were lovely and very helpful, especially the man who dealt with my daughters unusual request at gone midnight for her favourite hiccup remedy!! (thank you!!) Would definitely stay again.

The room wasn't huge for the price but I think looking at the prices other times we must have just picked a very expensive weekend!

I thought everything was absolutely incredible. I'm aware that a refurbishment is happening soon. I really hope that the refurbishment doesn't take the charm and character away. The current style of interior design is perfect. Nicer Televisions would be a good spend of the budget. Leather sofas would be amazing. Also, Bath matts would be nice as well. Other than that everything was absolutely perfect and I can see myself spending a lot of time here in the future as long as the price is right. :) I really enjoyed my stay and would like to say that Samantha at reception was absolutely fantastic. She had a brilliant smile. I can't remember the names of the other three gents but they were fantastic too. Compliments to the Chef my Eggs Benedict was amazing. The night Porter was very friendly. The Managers were incredibly helpful and the F&B Assistant was a very hard worker. Overall an incredible stay and would definitely recommend.

Baths Matts. More staff. Nicer TV in room. More Channels.

I was travelling alone but meeting family there. The hotel was convenient for a family visit and we've stayed here before. Staff are welcoming and the hotel is an old coaching inn so it has some charm and is central to Wimborne. The breakfast was well presented and very good. We didn't eat there in the evening as its close to very good local restaurants.

As I was travelling alone, I had a single room which was several floors up, right at the top of the hotel. The lift doesn't go there. It was OK for me (though a bit hard ging with luggage) but others might not make it! A bit of warning would have been good on booking.

Cleanliness of the bathroom and beds. The receptionist - when she had returned from her break was very helpful unlike her stand in. Cotton duvet cover, sheets and pillowcases were good quality. Attractive looking room. Good location for the Tivoli Theatre.

Rough toilet roll, really cheap and horrible! The room was too hot and the window only opened a few inches. We arrived half an hour too early, to be told to go to the bar and get a drink and come back at the allotted time, by a very sullen girl. No cheerful greeting at all. Very soft beds which is fine if that's what you are used to. Limited hot breakfast as they had run out of various items. Unable to connect to the WiFi. Bathroom door didn't shut at all.

Arrived on a very cold day to be greeted by a lovely friendly receptionist and found our room and the hotel bar very warm and cosy. Although the decor was a little bit dated, everywhere was clean and well presented. We arrived early afternoon and there was plenty of parking space in the car park although by the evening the car park was getting full so not sure whether there were sufficient spaces. There was a good, reasonably priced menu choice with a separate Gluten Free menu for our evening meal. As we didn't want large breakfrasts we didn't use the hotel restaurant in the morning but had a light breakfast in a Weatherspoons just across the road. The hotel is well located for shops and the Tivoli theatre. We would certainly use the hotel again.

A lovely place to stay, in a very English and higgledy-piggledy old building that has had a well-meaning makeover. Liked being able to open the windows for proper fresh air, and not just because of the brand new carpet. Great staff, and excellent food in the restaurant. Good wifi, too. Karen (not sure if I have the right name, but the lovely blonde Irish lady) was wonderful at check-in, and very quick to organise changing our room from a double + extra bed to the twin + extra bed we had booked. Helpful, charming and human, and made us feel that nothing was a problem. Her assistant (Linette?) was kind, too. Even better was the waitress (Zoe? a TA by day) who served us dinner, and who was swift, attentive, informed and generally a delightful presence, who made me and my two daughters feel completely at home. Really a cut-above; best waitress ever!

Pillows unusually firm; mattress unusually soft. Breakfast not a very welcoming experience. But neither of these a deal-breaker.

Great location, room clean, good breakfast. We were particularly impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the team. Being in the hospitality industry myself, I notice how the staff interact and attend to customers. I thought all the team were great all very happy and welcoming, even the housekeeping team took time out to speak. I would however like to make a special mention to the gentleman who served us breakfast and was then on reception ( Friday 7th Oct). I left my phone in the hotel and he went out of his way to find my company details and called them to let them know so that they could get in touch with me via E mail. This was above and beyond his duty and extremely apricated by me, thank you

very convenient, period hotel with perfectly adequate rooms, and ok food in the restaurant. the staff are exceptionally hard working and lovely to deal with. parking on site if you get there early. right in the centre of the historic town, and you can hear the church bells as you have your breakfast.

they, like so many places these days, are really short staffed. sometimes you end up waiting quite a long time to be served as they are trying to do the jobs of multiple people at the same time.

Reception staff were welcoming, friendly, very efficient and very helpful. Staff at breakfast also very helpful and efficient. Poached eggs for breakfast were perfect. Bed was very comfortable. Room was quiet. Appreciated the fan in this hot weather, and the iron, ironing board and haiir dryer in the wardrobe, even though I didn't use them.

Sash window in the room was open a few inches at the bottom. That's fine, I understand why it has to be kept locked that way. However, it's a sash window and they work best (especially in very hot weather) if the top sash is open a few inches as well. A sachet of hot chocolate would be a lovely addition to the drinks tray in the room. Neighbours in the next room had mobility issues, so it was a shame they were in a room with an awkward extra 8 steps up from the floor where the lift stops. Poor husband trying to drag a suitcase and hold crutches and get through the fire door at the top of the steps.
