Location. Very friendly hosts, the room was lovely and the bed very comfortable. The shower to die for!

The heating wasn’t on, so felt cold most of the time (we’re an old retired couple, so tend to feel the cold more often). No outside light, on sensor, to light up the front path when dark. At 3.00 am, went outside to have a cigarette (warned the host on arrival, that I usually do this, said that’s no problem), then coming back in, their two dogs started barking, by then we couldn’t get back to sleep and were fully awake, so decided to leave and head back home. Otherwise, it’s a beautiful house in a very quiet area, just 5min drive to town. The hosts are a lovely couple and their son and daughter, very friendly people!

This review is somewhat late as I stayed in May 2022. It was simply a wonderful stay which couldn't have been better. The welcome was friendly and this was a wonderful indicator as to the rest of the stay. The room was perfect from being light and airy to the fabulous en-suite shower - I don't wish to say how good it was really was for fear of the property becoming so popular that I might not be able to book it again!! A special mention should go to Will, the hosts son, who was an absolute star in his assistance his friendly and helpful manner, thank you Will for your help in getting around Exmouth it made the visit that much easier. The breakfast was a feast, well worth paying for. If I could give more that 10/10 for the stay I would. Now, if only every property were as good as Hedgebank. My advice is book now because this property and the lovely hosts are exceptional.

That I didn't book a second night!!! There was nothing, absolutely nothing to dislike.

The host's were very nice and helpful, the room was excellent with a large modern en-suite and tastefully decorated throughout a fabulous nights sleep on a king sized bed was welcomed by the both of us .We throughly enjoyed our breakfasts which was one of the nicest that we have had. One vegetarian & one traditional. All in all we would highly recommend a stay at this home

We are dog lovers , the host's have two wonderful canine family members whom were both delightful but can be quite vocal as ours are ( dog's just doing there jobs lol ). Not a complaint but just a point to note. A small bin by the tea / coffee area would have been handy

Ruth the host was very friendly and helpful and helped us plan any trips we made whilst there, she even gave us a lift to the start of our walk to Buddleigh Salterton :-) Breakfast was excellent and the room was lovely we would definitely recommend and will be back another time ourselves. We also liked having the dogs Otto and Basil as company whilst there :)

This is set in a family home. I felt very comfortable, all members of the family we very nice. My stay was just for one night. Bed was very comfortable. Great location close to Exmouth Town. Parking is off the street outside. Very quite location. Highly recommend

Location handy for main Exmouth Rd Beach. Loved room Bed very big and comfortable. Loved Egyptian cotton bedding.

Towels were a little hard . No mirror near a plug to blow dry hair . Not sure if hair dryer as had my own. A biscuit with tea might be nice. But overall great value and looking to book again for wedding in the area. Heather G .

The property owner Joe greeted us on arrival and was very friendly. He offered us some fresh milk to take to the room to make a cup of tea. He gave us a front door key to come and go as we pleased.

The property is having renovations and there was a lot of scaffolding on the front, but this did not affect our stay at all.

The dogs although delightful should be kept from the hallway. The bedroom door couldn't be locked. There should be a coat hanger or two to hang clothes as only a hook behind door and no wardrobe and an additional waste bin in bedroom - only one in bathroom. However, everything spotlessly clean and a very warm welcome.

Amazing hosts!! Hedgebank is the perfect spot for a stopover. It was easy to find with plenty of on road parking space. The bed was super comfortable and the room is so quiet. Gorgeous house which is well placed for places to visit and eat out. All in all brilliant value for the money. Would be so happy to stay again.

where to start … bedroom so lovely, pillows extra comfy, towels, crunchy, just as we love them. the furniture and furnishings in our room was just beautiful. Ruth cooked our breakfast, which was also splendid. a truly lovely gem
