We visited this accommodation in the middle of renovations of an adjacent building. It was an ordeal trying to find where to check in as we were confronted by no-entry signs related to building. as it turned out, this was the road we had to follow to Reception. Our room was large and in fact had two ensuite toilet/shower rooms! Double bed was comfortable and had a good sleep

Our room was rather “tired” with a ageing carpet and damage to walls at doorways. Dinner options at property are rather limited with dinner starting at a whopping £145 each!!! Alternative is a 4 mile drive to Fort William. On arrival and departure we shared the staircase with removalists moving furniture etc. Hopefully this is not always the case.

Was disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. I usually comment very positively on my accommodation - and I do here - but the toilet seat was stained with drips from an earlier user, the bath towel was also stained and a cup hadn't been washed properly. Minor issues but they surprised me as everything else was clean, tidy and comfortable. I assume it was merely a glitch and uncommon.

The rooms were beautiful, and the largest rooms we have stayed in so far (after 10 days of travel).

There was no option to cool the rooms. The windows couldn’t be open because of midges, there was no fan or air conditioning, and to sleep there was no sheet option (like everywhere in UK, there is just a doonah or nothing).

Friendly staff, good sized room with two bathrooms, quiet location away from town but not too far to drive to shops etc. We had the place to ourselves which was nice. Enjoyed the nearby hotel grounds as well as dinner and breakfast. Wifi wasn't working when we arrived but was fixed the next day.

Communal kitchen was closed, could do with a small fridge in the room.

The room was cosy and a great location, being close to the Nevis range. It was on the grounds of a beautiful castle and so walking around this and exploring was great. The cottage had washing and drying facilities which we were able to use. Friendly morning staff who were very nice about a slightly late check-out, and gave some recommendations about things to do in the area.

Not full access to the facilities which was not stated when booking the stay and so food that had been purchased prior to the check-in went off as there was no where to store it overnight, however in the morning we discovered that the kitchen could have been accessed and so this was frustrating.

We expected to have rooms in Factor’s Cottage however we were given room in Factor’s Inn instead and were very pleased with what we found. Well presented, spacious rooms which were very clean. Good quality towels and complimentary toiletries.

There was a small amount of maintenance needed to a loose tile in our bathroom and the centre light fitting didn’t work (possibly just a bulb) but there was a separate spotlight which was sufficient. The rooms were exceptionally warm with plump feather duvets but, fortunately a fan was provided and it was warm enough to sleep without the duvet.

We did a road trip around Scotland and this was the one accommodation that I wasn’t sure if I got right. However the staff were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were huge, clean and comfortable. Our room, superior, even had two bathrooms! Overall we were very satisfied with our overnight stop.

The rooms were really hot but we couldn’t find the source of the heat. It was mild outside but they did provide a fan in the room. It could possibly do with some updating and TLC but I suppose it’s part of the charm. It isn’t walking distance to the town centre but this wasn’t an issue for us.

Lovely comfortable beds - very soft and squishy

Only a metal Venetian blind at the window as you’d have in an office. Very strange and out of keeping with everything else. Plus the room was too light in the early morning. Would have been nice to have a small fridge with fresh milk for the price too! Our luggage was dropped at the hotel but the staff were unable to take it to the Factors Inn.

We had dogs and they very kindly provided dog bed and bowls Huge bed for us too ! Lovely big room and loads of extras avail in room iron hairdryer etc Beautiful surroundings Close to town if u have car However would highly recommend staff very helpful and very comfortable Once covid restrictions ease would definitely stay again

Sadly due to cv19 the communal kitchen and lounge not available Next time we will go in to castle for afternoon tea but didn't go this time as only open to residents so our friend couldn't come with us which was disappointing Only draw back is you can't leave dogs on room unless caged and ours never going to be subjected to that so we took them in car with us

Room was very spacious for a family and we had a dog with us. Sofa bed was double. There was a small kettle in the room and tea bags. Lots of storage, 2 built in wardrobes. Dog actually slept in the toilet as there was enough space. Very quiet location and walking the grounds to the castle was really nice in the morning. Slightly overpriced (£139 for family suite) as it did not include breakfast and place a bit run down, the pub downstairs is closed. Nevertheless also being first weekend after travel restrictions have been eased almost everything was fully booked around Fort William and prices were inflated.

Reception and check in was at the Castle hotel nearby. Guess any issues take longer to get resolved as no one at the property but they would come to assist.
