Very clean rooms with nice bathrooms and all of the stuff you need for a short stay i.e. toiletries, hairdryer, tea and coffee etc. The views from our room across the bay were stunning. Really epic seeing the tide come and go against the river. The breakfast was lovely, as was our evening meal we had in the hotel bar / restaurant. An open fire completed a super cosy feeling.

One odd thing was we asked the lady who checked us in if we could push dinner back from 6 to 7 or 7.30. She consulted an iPad and said "early is better. 6.15?" and we just left it at 6 assuming they were busy. Not a single other table sat for dinner all night. I've a feeling not offering a later meal was for their convenience, not mine.

The location overlooking Loch Etive is hard to beat. We had one of the top floor rooms with a balcony overlooking the loch, it was very beautiful and peaceful. The staff were helpful and kind (if a little busy). The food was good and the restaurant well used by locals and visitors. The room had a good en suite, tv (though more to see out the window) and tea making facilities. Bed was large and comfortable and the whole place was clean.

A little awkward to find at the end of the route on the gps.Do not expect a modern hotel, or hundreds of staff at your beck and call. This is the Highlands after all...

The staff, the manager was very pleasant and attentive. Couldn't find any faults When we arrived at the room the temperature outside was 30 degrees. Within minutes we were given a fan which was fantastic The breakfast was excellent, well prepared and good quality ingredients. Lots of choices, unlimited tea/coffee and toast. The bathroom was well equipped good shower. Very comfortable mattress. We had a sea view which was lovely. The whole property was clean and dining area was superb. Nice to have the option of onsite dining

Nothing Staff, accommodation and food are excellent

I loved everything a fantastic hotel in every way.I give it full marks. The owners and staff were so warmly welcoming and treated me with such kindness and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was beautifully cooked and was delicious at every meal- breakfast, lunch and dinner. The rooms were very comfortable, warm and cosy despite the cold outside in the open air .Tea and coffee facilities in every room. Soap, hair wash lotion body wash lotion were in the room. I have to say the hotel was spotlessly clean one of the cleanest I have stayed in in my life I sincerely mean that,The open fire in the bar/dinning room created a very warm welcoming atmosphere. The view from the dinning room over the Loch was spectacular. The hotel is very reasonably priced and great value. I had a brilliant experince in the Lochnell Arms and I will be definitely returning.

Excellent hotel.I loved everything.

We stayed here for my boyfriend's 50th birthday, the location of the hotel was amazing, and the view we had from the window of room number 10 was amazing too. The staff were excellent and put up a 50 banner for me in the room, and left 2 small bottles of prosecco for us which we thought was very nice and thoughtful. Breakfast was yummy and had veggie sausages as an option for me. The service was great too 😊. It's always a shame having to leave but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and hopefully in the future we will be back. Thanks Lochnell Arms 😁

If I had to say anything the shower cubicle is pretty small, I'm only small myself and I kept banging my elbows everytime I turned. But I understand there isn't much room to put anything bigger.

Staff very friendly. Could not do enough for you. Very quiet hotel, no noise at all. Free car parking. Path leading down to the shingle beach from hotel grounds. View from room 11 let you see occasional seal feeding in the bay. Breakfast was excellent.

Carpets dirty, not hoovered. Base of beds threaded and outdated. Dinners slightly expensive. Had to continuously hunt for staff member both nights to order dinner as were to busy pulling pints in the bar than paying attention to hotel guests. Room 11 shower tiny and claustrophobic.

This is a very nice family style hotel with great views of the water. Room was comfortable, nice bathroom and a walkout balcony with a table and chairs and a terrific view of the water and bridge. Very quiet. They are located about 12 min. from Oban and an ideal location for us. Oban can be a bit hectic. Breakfasts were absolutely wonderful with a wide variety of choices and fixed to order. We ate 2 evening meals in the dinning room and they were delicious. The dinning room looks out over a beautiful lawn and water.

We were warned in advance that our room #1 was on the top 2nd floor (for us the U.S. - that would be the 3rd floor) with narrow steep stairs and yes they were but well worth the effort and view. We're 70 so not a big deal for us but it is a climb.

We had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the Loch, having arrived by tandem the staff were most helpful in finding a secure room inside the property to store the bike overnight. We had our evening meal at the Lochnell and then the following morning a superb breakfast before setting off on the next stage of our Lands End to John O Groats cycle ride. A great place to to stop off which judging by the people we met seemed very popular with people on touring trip, and trips to the UK.

A charming hotel with beautiful views over the loch from both the lounges and from our room with its huge picture window giving us a wonderful view of the loch and surrounds. We had booked this hotel as we did not want to stay in the Oban and its business and crowds. We were not at all sorry for the choice and it would have been nice to stay another night but our schedule wouldn't allow. The staff were charming as were the surrounds. We would highly recommend.

There was nothing we didn't like but our friends had their dog with them and were told that the hotel was dog friendly which it was to an extent but perhaps it should be mentioned when people make enquiries that whilst it is dog friendly they are not allowed in the restaurant - not an unreasonable thing but a heads up would have been good. Nonetheless we managed and the four of us ( five including Blu) enjoyed our stay.

Everything. We were in room 1 which had a balcony with an amazing view looking over Loch Etive. All the staff were so friendly. Even in the small bar where the Juke Box, Pool Table and Dart Board were, the locals were all so welcoming. The hotel was spotless and food was lovely. We were £16 on a taxi which took us into Oban for the day. We also drove up to Fort William one day which was only 30 odd miles away. The hotel was so peaceful but in the perfect position to travel to busy places if you wanted too. Susan and Rudi who run it were fantastic hosts. We will definitely gone back.

The meals were beautiful but I do not eat fish or anything on the bone so there wasn't much options for me to choose from at dinner time. Although what I did eat was delicious 😋
