The staff were friendly and helpful. The room itself was basic but perfectly adequate for a quick stay over and considering the room rate. The food in the restaurant was really lovely, good portion sizes for the cost and a lovely view out to the water.

I felt a bit conscious taking my suitcase and belongings through the bar with all the patrons looking on. We went out a back door across a courtyard to the ground floor rooms. No one mentioned in the morning I wouldn't be able.to get back through that door for breakfast. They were clearly understaffed and struggling to cover all the bases, including in the restaurant. However the staff were doing their very best and it really wasn't their fault and it didn't take away from my stay. Super bright blinding light panel in the ceiling.

Pretty much everything. Location and views in particular. Only a short distance from Oban and with stunning (almost un-rivalled) views over the water and spectacular sunsets . Great for sitting in the restaurant or on the outside verandah whilst eating / drinking Parking good, proximity to A82 road for passage over the Connel Bridge a bonus. Room was fine with everything we needed over three nights (28 degrees and wall-to-wall blue skies as it happened). Staff helpful and pleasant. Cooked breakfasts were good although we will say the quantity varied across the three mornings - maybe different cooks - but still very nice and enjoyable. The key question is would we go back? Yes we certainly would.

Very clean, comfortable and welcoming. Room was big, bed was comfortable and shower was absolutely great. Ideal location for our stay. Good parking. Great to have a ‘pub’ and restaurant on site. Proper pub rather than the usual boring hotel bar. Food was excellent in the restaurant. Breakfast was plentiful and service was good. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Views were stunning.

The outside space for the pub lets the property down. Yes, there are still some smokers left in the world and this space was not very comfortable or welcoming. Looks like it has been left to rot. Damaged chairs and tables left out in the rain, lighting heating not working and dead plants in hanging baskets. Looks abandoned. Understand the weather can be a problem but no effort to make this space fit for purpose. Would maybe take the sign on the door down for people wanting to eat outside, not very nice

The food was fantastic and the setting is also fantastic. Great views on a lovely day.

The room was really nice and clean. However it was room 10 which the window is right next to the extracter from the kitchen I think. Due to the lovely sunny weather we had the window open and the extractor was loud which was sufferable in the evening but it kicked on at about 6.30am which was not ideal. Also shown to our breakfast table which was set fully for one and partially for two. I did have a tea cup brought to me but no saucer. There was no cutlery for me when my breakfast arrived and none of the waiters picked up on that. They were busy and I appreciate that and it would not stop me from returning. I only post this in the hope they learn from my comments. But overall a great stay. Thank you.

The room was wonderful - looking right out over the loch. We'd book it again. Food was good, and good value too. Nice place, full of character, with friendly staff. Happy that dogs aren't allowed in the upstairs rooms, which means that people with dog allergies (like me!) can stay in them.

This is the second time we've stayed here. First time the ground floor room was very small, with no view, (probably reflected in a lower price) but we liked the staff and the place so we came back. As long as we could book an upstairs room, we'd come back again - would be nice to stay longer.

the rooms where Spacious and clean the views where out of this world. was fantastic.

I booked the restaurant prior to staying and we me my partner and son 2 year old went to restaurant to be told our table was in the bar with men all drinking at the bar not what I want to be siting with my 2 year old son in a bar. then to make it worse our table was next to the firer exit which was open and the smell of smoke from people from the bar going out for cigarettes put us off our dinner. staff where friendly and hotel is lovely. I suspect it would have been the restaurant manager who sat us in the bar as not to have. a 2 year old in there restaurant.

Breakfast suited us. Not a huge choice but varied enough. The location was perfect. Inn situated across road from inlet which was stunning. Easy travel to Oban, five miles away. Fort William about an hour’s drive on a relatively easy road which, again, was very scenic. From there, took the train to Mallaig. Showed Scotland at its best. Staff at inn were friendly and obliging. Nothing too much bother. Hotel was clean. Bed was one of most comfortable we have slept in other than our own. Quality of evening meal varied but menu being changed. Mussels were excellent. Cosy fire in the bar.

As above, evening meal varied but in process of being changed. Warm plates would help keep the food hot.

Easy to find. Good for parking. Warm and helpful staff. Good atmosphere in all areas. Room of a good standard - particularly liked the shower. Had a small issue with closing the bedroom window that was sorted very quickly. Restaurant enjoyed great views and staff were very helpful. Bar area very relaxed.

Small issues (i.e. not major). My wife is asthmatic and smell of fabric conditioner was evident in the corridor outside our room. The smell was also present on towels and bedclothes. On the first floor, approaching rooms 10 onwards, there is an uneven floor that is easy to miss- I almost slipped on this.

We had a small room with a king sized bed. The room had been recently refurbished and was very comfortable for sleeping in. Not so comfortable for spending any time in otherwise though. The food ( breakfast and dinner) at the Inn was excellent. Staff were very attentive and met our needs.

We had expected to be able to sit in the residents lounge which overlooked the river but to our dismay the Inn has removed that facility and extended their bedroom numbers. My fault for not checking ahead.

Very convenient location and a comfortable stay on our trip through Argyll & Mull. very comfortable room with modern decor and very nice food and drink easily available Breakfast was very good value for money.

We had heard about the restaurant online and it was part of our reason for booking the hotel. Restaurant was near empty when my fiancée and I were eating here, and due to this the noise from the kitchen was easily heard throughout our meal. The foul language coming from the kitchen with regards to the guests and their orders in the bar was rude, and this made our overall experience of the restaurant uncomfortable. However the food was delicious, and we really enjoyed the bar after moving there for drinks.
