The Garrison

Almost all was perfect, lovely welcome pack and everything was clean and almost new. Bed was comfortable and bed settee was fine and of a decent quality. Bedding and towels were clean crisp and new. It was beautifully decorated and nice and quiet.

I was staying with a friend in one of the suites so we needed the bed and the bed settee. There was a partial wall but it was all open plan which meant we had no privacy at night. Sliding doors to separate the two areas would have made this absolutely perfect. Two people who are not a couple could then sleep and change etc with a bit of privacy if needed.

Location is perfect, right next to the High Street. Decoration is cute and it was a pleasant stay.

There is no shower head that you can remove to shower, so if you want to take a quick shower, either you have to move around not to wet your hair or you have no choice than to wash it. This is terrible for women that have any type of maintenance in their hairs. My child found a car that was not his under the bed, so guess they don't clean all spots. There was no extra pillow for my son nor a duvet for him to sleep. There was only a little blanket. I am glad I took his pillow for the stay.

Our family of five stayed one night at The Garrison during our ten day road trip through Scotland, and let me just say, lockdown your stay ASAP! This place is just the coolest! :) Not only were we greeted by the friendliest staff, but we also had amazing service the next morning at breakfast. Clean, modern rooms and the perfection location equals a wonderful stay in Fort William! Not to mention, they also have fans & sweets in each bedroom. Little touches that really make a difference. We would definitely recommend staying here!

The Garrison is wonderful! The only recommendation we have would be for those driving their own car to the accommodation: make sure you arrive early enough to park in the front lot. Squeezing through the alleyway to park in the rear was a bit of a close call ;)

The room was really nice and quiet. The staff member that checked us in was lovely. The location was great. The breakfast was lovely. They also offer free coffee and tea all day. Though I didn't travel with my dog, I do have a dog and the fact that the hotel is dog friendly is very appealing to me.

Because the hotel is so close to Ben Nevis and other great hiking spots the price of the room for one night through we booked over 6 months in advance was quite expensive for what we got (I usually do not spend that much on one night at a hotel without breakfast). But I guess it's very in demand and Fort William is a small town so there isn't an abundance of options and it will sell out during season.

It was slightly different. The complimentary items in the room. The luxury products in the bathroom. Robes. Large towels. Newness of carpets. Beds so comfortable. Location. Prosecco for the birthday girl and a card. Breakfast and being served, takes a bit longer but really nice and relaxing. Nothing a problem The staff were wonderful!

I liked everything. The rooms are slightly smaller but all you need is packed in. We were there for one night and more than sufficient. Might be trickier with big cases or rucksacks and if staying longer as only one area with 5 hangers. However for our needs it was perfect! I initially thought it was a bit expensive but comparing to other hotels it was competitively priced for the area. Overall I felt it was worth it!

We recently stayed at the Garrison during an event and found it to be in a great location, clean and with very lovely staff! The breakfast exceeded our expectations and was great value for money! All the staff we encountered offered great service. Some nice touches were the treats left in the room complimentary!

On checking in to our room, there was some rubbish left on the side (most likely from housekeeping), which wasn’t ideal. Would have been good to have a mini fridge in the room. Mostly it was quiet, but one night there were drunk people outside for some time.

Lovely, clean suite which was very comfortable and stylishly decorated. The suite was modern and very spacious and it was great having a coffee machine and kettle with a proper kitchenette sink and fridge in the room too. It was great that we had fresh milk on arrival. We would definitely visit again.

Breakfast was delivered to outside the room at 7am in a hamper but I would have preferred to eat in the restaurant as it felt like we wasted a lot of food from our hamper. Maybe guests could be given the option of having a hamper delivered or eating with the guests from the main hotel?

Only staying for 1 night and it was the first time staying here, and was pleasantly surprised by the suite I had booked. More like a studio 1 bedroom flat with amenities to self cater. Breakfast was served in a basket to the room in the morning and was continental in style. Had various porridge, bagels, croissants, juice yogurts, cheese and meats (salmon and ham). The room was big enough for two, slightly tight as we had our autistic 21 year old with us but the fold down bed was fine for him. Large TV and fridge which had some nice touches - water and lemon san pelligrino, milk and 4 tunnock tea cakes. Kettle and coffee machine too, with dishes for eating in too. Bed was comfy and very well presented. No meals served in the hotel so we got recommendations by the team of the local pub and meal was excellent.

We had two issues - the window lock wouldn't close but was sorted quickly by the team. The second was the shower which seemed to run out of hot water on the 3rd person. Both noted by the team.

Fantastic hotel. Super-comfortable suite (bedroom, sitting-room/kitchenette, bathroom) in newly built block behind main hotel. Very well kitted out with every comfort, excellent lighting, cool artwork, comfortable bed with luxurious linen and throw, huge soft towels, fridge helpfully stocked with milk, water, cold drinks and snacks all provided gratis, coffee machine, crockery for eating in, and a fan for hot nights. The super-helpful and friendly staff really stand out at this hotel. Good fast service, really tasty breakfast with copious refills, and free coffee even after checkout. Well worth the money.

I booked this for a friend, last minute, who had been involved in an accident that required Mountain rescue. Shona/Cheryl and Alison went out of their way to take care of my pal. Including lending her clothes and PJ's and providing some basic comforts. They arranged a late check out and held a room for her for the second night so she could continue to convalesce. They even contacted me to let me know how she was doing until we could arrange for her to get home safely. I can't thank them enough for all they did to make her feel safe and for me to know she was not alone after such a frightening experience. Oh, and my friend said the room was lovely. Thank you everyone at The Garrison X X
