Great place to stay with several wedding parties in various stages of their wedding weekend meaning the place had a good vibe. The staff were first class and joined in the fun with the bar staff in particular having a bit of banter with the customers. Evening meal was good and as was the breakfast and both were delivered quickly and were piping hot. Room was basic but had everything you needed and plenty of hot water for the powerful shower.

Some of the facilities were a little dated but that is part of the wedding charm

Excellent and varied choices for breakfast It was set in a nice peaceful settting but a car is really needed to get out and about The rooms are well maintained and you get fresh towels each day The towels were actually bath sheets large and soft to the touch All of the staff are very friendly and efficient doing their jobs and very easy to interact with Would definitely visit and stay again and would recommend it to my family and friends

Everything was excellent Can’t think on how the could improve

****Bonus Question. Cost of room... **** We paid in advance for the three nights stay and presumed that was the accommodation had been paid in full HOWEVER on receiving our Room Account we noticed that we had been charged £90.£92.and £95 for the same room for the three day stay. I have sent an email questioning this and am awaiting the reply as to why we were charged three different prices for the same room.

The room was very clean but we didn't have the bed made throughout the four day stay.

my wife and I are slightly disabled and could not manage the stairs to the breakfast room and the staff set up a table downstairs for us which we were extremely grateful all staff were excellent.

the only problem we found was the hotel was quite a bit from gretna and the shops which my wife loves other than that no complaints.

Room was spacious with bathroom and hallway. Clean with plenty tea/coffee and towels. Friendly staff, Breakfast included in price. Much bigger than I expected. we had a light bite in the evening. The sharing platter was delicious an hot when served. Didn't have to wait long for food and the bar maid was friendly and spoke very highly of everyone who worked with her. She gave us information regarding the property which we found interesting. It was nice to meet someone who was clearly happy in her job and with her employers.

Waitress seemed a bit confused why there were three of us for breakfast and was unsure where to sit us but was friendly enough.. Plenty cereal choice, only 1 flavor yoghurt which was rhubarb but ample fruit juice. Order was taken quickly and didn't have to wait long or cooked breakfast however bacon was tough and chewy, haggis was awful (my guess would be frozen) Pity because this was what ruined the breakfast as everything else was fine. Toast provided was both white and brown but was stone cold. Tea was hot with milk and sugar provided. I would have happily paid a little extra for decent haggis and bacon.

Lovely hotel, staff all very freindly. Room had everything we needed. They even put a tiny fridge in there for my medication. Very close to Gretna Green. Beautiful grounds and a lovely little church. Very quirky.

They had Radio 1 playing in the restaurant in the evenings, not my choice of music at any time of day, just think they could of played someing better.

The room was a good size and comfortable. Loads of tea/coffee/milk left by housekeeping. Iron and full size ironing board provided and full length mirror - it was a wedding venue so these items were very useful. Breakfast was very good and freshly cooked to order so was so much nicer than a buffet service. Good parking facilities.

There was nothing not to like about this hotel. It was quiet and well managed and good value for money with very easy access from the motorway. We would definitely stay there again.

The grounds are lovely and accessible to the motorway. Nice rooms very spacious.

The breakfast was cold and dried up on day one, and we sent it back. The following day, it slightly improved but had dried up. The staff asked to take your hot order before you had settled into your cereal. Too rushed it's a holiday so time to eat leisurely is important.

Very large room, exceptional cleanliness, linen and towels were great. Very quiet location, great for a good sleep. Excellent choice for breakfast too, plenty of parking space. Very friendly and helpful staff. For anyone travelling from Southern England to Northern Scotland and back I highly recommend this gem in Kirkpatrick Fleming, off the A74M Junc 21/22 to break your journey.

Slight disappointment with the breaded haddock at dinner but that may just be me. Good choice of other dishes though.

Good location. Perfect stop off either to or from Scotland. Lovely grounds but obviously used as a wedding location. Rooms are good & spacious but in need of a little refurb.

We had to eat in the back bar as they had had a large group in the dining area & were clearing it away. Breakfast was lovely but very busy & noisy as there were, I think, two wedding parties in.
