The Farmers Inn

This accomadation was clean , staff & locals very friendly . Colin and Jackie were great hosts and always had time for a chat . Had three meals at the inn and everyone was delicious. The last night we had 6 adults and 5 children with us and they all enjoyed starters to desserts . Breakfast was juice , cereal, tea , toast . And a full breakfast . Lovely tasty bacon . 5 star breakfast . Only thing if you were not an early riser breakfast was from 8am to 8.30am. But that wasn’t a problem for us . Would definitely book again if in that area .

Loved the accommodation being across from the pub. Was lovely having a little bench outside of each room and we enjoyed sitting there in the evening!

Spacious room and bathroom. Clean and tidy and really comfortable beds. Great choice of TV. The breakfast was to die for!!! The evening meal we had in the pub was also great. Proper pub grub and no cheap ingredients! All staff very pleasant and the stay was exceptional value for what we received!

The breakfast was all thast we wanted. We could have eaten more if we had wished to.

Really there was nothing to not like. The place was a nice little village and the pub in the middle of it. This is how pubs used to be. There will never be the great crowds we used to know; but these little rooms will be just the thing to make up the income so that the pub can be what we would expect of a village pub these days.

The staff were so friendly. The food was unbelievably tasty and such good portions. Loved the setting and quaintness of the hotel.

There wasn't anything I didn't like...the parking area could be a little tidier...

Lovely room and large sized bathroom. Parking was available directly outside. Nice little lounge bar with a good selection of food and drinks at reasonable prices. Both our dinner and breakfast were lovely. Breakfast was served in the conservatory. Friendly hosts.

Breakfast restricted to between 8 and 8.30am. Would have preferred a slightly later time.

lovely country pub for the local community (and tourists) private carpark off the main road right outside your room door(perfect and secure) a gem of a place. I traveled for work in a dairy in Lockerbie, the room is detached from the pub and far exceeded what I was expecting, it was a very modern room with en-suite and TV with Netflix. the pub food was very nice and generous portions. wide variety of food and even had vegetarian options. The beer was lovely as were all the staff. the best bit were the prices I was expecting the bill with all the food and the few beers I had to be a lot more than it was. I would definitely recommend coming here either for work or a base for you exploring and they have an open fire!!!

Very friendly staff. Lovely little traditional place with excellent food and modern, clean accommodation. Would 100% recommend and stay again if passing through.

We were 3 male adults, travelling on bikes. The room was one double bed and one single. We were aware of this however and only meant too and tailing with my brother for one night 😂

The accommodation is motel style and parking was conveniently available directly adjacent to the room. The room itself was of a good size with comfortable beds and well furnished. The wi-fi system was particularly effective. The bathroom facilities were excellent. There was ample space to store items in the entrance lobby. The standard of cleanliness was very high. The reasonable range of food on offer at dinner was sensibly priced and of high quality, well cooked, presented and served. Breakfast was excellent. The staff were, pleasant, helpful and did all they could to make the stay enjoyable.

It is necessary to cross the external area to access the main building and this would benefit from better lighting, especially as there are steps to the entrance.

We loved this Inn. It was just what we were looking for as far as historical feel. The traditional Scottish dinner and breakfast were delicious and the owners were very friendly. The room was very comfortable. And the bathroom and shower were amazing - heated towels, modern fixtures in a traditional venue. Highly recommend!

This is a lovely family run hotel Staff where friendly chatty. The hotel room was bright clean comfortable just perfect for us Having your own entrance with a seating area was different in a good way. Would recommend this hotel. The food was delicious and good value for money
