The room was spotless and looked recently refurbished. Decor very tasteful and relaxing. I liked having a comfortable armchair. The views were beautiful. Christine was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice including fresh fruit, always a treat. Good position not far from the motorway.

Nothing really - it would have been nice to walk to a pub after driving all day - but the one recommended was good.

Perfectly cooked breakfast, we were asked what we preferred...and accommodated. Delightful hospitality, being in someone's home as a guest can be tricky but Christine and Ian are genuine and welcoming. Also had a very refreshing sleep..not something that happens for me very often. Beautiful location in an often unexplored part of the country. I would love to return for a few more days.

Nothing springs to mind. Yep it really is great.

A warm welcome to start with. The room was beautiful. The shower was very good. We ordered pizza in and we could use the breakfast room to have our diner. The plates were set for us. That was very lovely. We had a good night sleep. The breakfast was also very good. We had a very nice conversation with the owners which made us feel very welcome.

Christine was a very good and helpful hostess, helpfully placing my wet coat - from a day's walking in inclement weather - in the boiler room to enable it to dry. Spacious room and very comfortable bed, with well-equipped ensuite bathroom having an easily adjustable and powerful shower. Excellent full Scottish breakfast, complete with homemade bread and scones.

Don't follow Google's attempts to direct you to the property as the postcode also covers several other properties which are accessed via a different road. However, helpful signage has been placed at the end of the approach lane to direct guests to the guest house.

Great breakfast choices in a lovely breakfast room with a view of the surrounding countryside, a large comfortable well furnished bedroom and a warm welcome from our hosts including visiting canine friends.

This was just the very minor hardly worth mentioning detail of not having a shelf in the shower cubicle to have toiletries to hand.

This was a last minute booking one of the bikes we were travelling on broke down and we needed somewhere to stay. They were amazing, gave us a lift into town for dinner, offered to pick us up if we couldn't get a cab, gave us coffee after we checked out and were waiting for assistance. Beautiful room, very quiet, great view over the valley to the front, just went above and beyond. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Quiet location in countryside. Comfortable, friendly.. Christine and Iain understandably wary of me as a lone, male traveller taking public transport (walking the last bit!). Wonderful full breakfast (not quite Scottish but darnt say it was English!)

They made it too easy to leave without paying! I offered when I arrived but asked to pay on departure. Then I forgot but when going turned round at the farm gate when I realised!

Absolutely the best, fantastic hosts, could not have wished for better. Super clean room and facilities. From USA but once lived in southern Scotland - a home from home. Read great reviews before booking and was not disappointed! Next time I visit the Lockerbie area I will come to Bishopcleugh and hopefully be able to spend more one night.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

Christine and Family very friendly and helpful, a warm welcome. A delicious and hearty breakfast. The room was comfortable and quite spacious, and the View Breathtaking. Beautiful scenery, a place to chill or wander, or both. I was just passing through, having driven for several hours, this was my Oasis.

In the country enough to have good views and quiet but near enough to town for ease. Christine was the perfect hostess, the house was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfy. What to say about breakfast!! Super, Fantastic, excellent! Good quality food well cooked and presented.

It is a farm and like all such the entrance road suffers from heavy traffic so there are a few bumps and holes to be avoided.
