Everything at the Hotel was very good unfortunately the Chef was off sick so no food but was able to get Fish & Chips across the road & eat it in the bar room at the Hotel it was very yummy! The family room had plenty of space with TV & Wifi, the beds were comfy and there was plenty of beverages available, many Hotels tend to think a guest only wants one drink but this Hotel put out lots of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar and milk for us which was appreciated by us all!

There really wasn't anything we didn't like, the Hotel was excellent value for money and we would use it again if we were ever up this way again!

The Kings Arms is just a short walk from the train station, which was really handy and also close to bus stops for some local routes to explore the beautiful countryside surrounding Lockerbie. I had a small single room and loved my cosy little bed under the window. My welcome at reception was so warm and hospitable too. I felt right at home.

I would have loved to have a little mini fridge to keep a couple of things cool in since I didn't book with breakfast and am not a great fan of breakfast but like to have a small snack in the morning, like a yoghurt...

Great hotel in a great little town, lovely and friendly staff who gave us lots of info about the local area and put us on to a great little boozer called The Black Bull when the hotel bar had called last orders. We were also allowed to go into the Town Hall which i recommend, to see the lovely stained glass memorial windows, and other little bits of Lockerbie history they have in there (There really should be a little museum about the town, but alas there is not). Bonus like, there is a Greggs, i had the barbecue chicken bites with spicy wedges, ate them as we walked down to the memorial gardens to keep me warm. Would love to stay again someday, and take in some of the fishing in the local area.

I honestly can't think of anything, top notch!

The room set up was quite nice, with 2 chairs and a desk, with cushions, good wifi and Tv. The breakfast was excellent, with the chef asking us personally what we wanted to have.

The only dislike was the ensuite bathroom was very compact, and a lack of hooks or rails to hang clothes and towels from, and the car parking is around the other side of the block, and you must park illegally, if you wish to unload luggage at the hotel door. The bar / lounge / restaurant area need more tables matched to the chair height for in house dining.

I think this hotel is very much a work in progress .you can tell the owner is very proud of the work done so far and rightfully so .the rooms are functional and clean ,if a bit tired . The room was a stopover on way further north ,so was ideal for that .lovely fresh food and continental breakfast had really good choice ,I opted for a cooked vegetarian breakfast at extra cost and again it was delicious 😋 to sum up ,I have stayed at much more “ polished “ hotels but this one is warm and welcoming and the owner ,Tom and his new staff member , Sharon really made me welcome,oh and of course my elderly collie ,Jess . Would definitely stay here again, instead of the one I usually use and watch with interest as the planned works progress.

Room was a bit disappointing on first arrival ( grouting in bathroom need’s addressing) but it’s not a biggy,it just needed mentioning.

Clean comfortable , very good shower , room a little dated but actually quite liked it ! Didn’t bother us at all. Very good value for price paid. Staff great . Food good . Downstairs bar looks newly updated and very pleasant area to sit relax chat eat etc. Hotel looks newly improved generally . Central location, park 2 mins walk . Easy parking outside front of hotel .

No complaints , everything was fine

The King's Arms is located within very short walking distance of the railway station. Sharon at reception was welcoming and helpful with essential information. The room was quiet despite the fact that a lively function was taking place elsewhere in the hotel.

We felt that the hotel was a litttle understaffed. On the Saturday night an error occurred in the settling of a bill for dinner, which was not fully discovered until after we had left the hotel on Sunday. On Sunday morning we felt service suffered slightly because there was only one person to do duty both in the kitchen and the breakfast room where buffet items sometimes ran out.

Perfect for our needs as a stop off on the way South, from Western Scotland. I do stop in this area regularly but this hotel has only really come online again, following renovation during the enforced lock down and would be well worth considering for my trips to this area, and not just as I'm heading past. The bar/dining areas downstairs are superb and as the opportunity arises the 1st floor guest rooms are due to be renovated too, not that there was anything wrong with them. It will be interesting to go back and see.

I have stayed before in June 2017. I picked this hotel/location as I was bringing my aunt n unc up for a few days. I had a single room n they had a triple room. My room was great - only thing it is old decor but they are doing it up in stages. My aunt n unc liked their room.

The only thing I didnt like was 4pm check in. We did get it slightly before.

The staff were very welcoming, the building was lovely, clean and was an all round nice, traditional place. The hotel manager was great with me, as this was my first time travelling and staying somewhere alone, he bared with me and made difficult things seem so simple.

There is nothing I didn’t like about the property everything was exceptional.
