Fantastic location for trips to the nearby coast and situated in this quirky market town of Halesworth. We got a wonderful reception from amazing staff with great food and incredible breakfasts. The quintessential boutique hotel with beautiful rooms and attention to detail. A hidden gem worth searching out.

Everything was perfect! This was a last minute decision to spend the weekend away from home, and our choice of hotel did not disappoint. The room was large, bed comfortable with a beautiful modern bathroom, fitted with bathtub and shower. We decided to eat dinner in the restaurant and the food was wonderful and would highly recommend it. Likewise, the Sunday brunch menu was varied and food freshly cooked and wanting nothing. We would definitely come back here again for a weekend break in the peaceful Suffolk countryside.

Nothing everything was great!

Our room was fantastic 😊!! It was absolutely huge and well furnished. Our bed was so comfy and even though it was boiling hot weather we slept well with the fan provided. The building is beautiful with all the original covings, fireplaces etc. Our bathroom was to die for, it had all the gorgeous beams and wide floorboards that showed the age of the house. I would've been very happy to sleep in there!! The owners are lovely people who go out their way to make your stay special and are friendly, easy to talk to. The breakfast was the best we've ever had, cooked perfectly with good produce. We had an evening meal that was amazing; the blade of beef was so tender and was served with a delicious sauce. Our desert looked amazing 😍 and was scrumptious! We will definitely be staying here again, would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy a special break.

There wasn't anything that I can say we didn't like!

The hotel was family run and we were made to feel welcome. The room was large and comfortable and overlooked the garden, which was a quiet retreat. The food was really good and prepared to order with fresh ingredients mostly locally sourced

We were surprised that the tea-making facilities were not automatically topped up. If you want your bed making you have to ask. The hotel doesn’t have a prominent sign outside so you have to search a little although there are not many places in the square so it’s not too difficult

Great location in the middle of a small historic market town.Good dire tion and easy parking. Let us check in early. Very large room modern comforts in heritage settings. Friendly staff good breakfast and dinner . Good fast Wi-Fi.

I am a light sleeper, the nearby church bells disturbed me because I forgot my ear plugs. The one thing the bedroom la ked was a full length mirror, an antique one on a swing frame would fit in well

Visited as a couple as a birthday treat. Beautifully put together guest house with considered touches and a very large, comfy bed. We took the Regency Room (I believe the biggest of the three available). The chef delivered a high quality dinner and breakfast, at a very reasonable price. Staff very friendly and excellent hosts.

Gorgeous little place in Halesworth. Totally lovely team running it and the most perfectly cooked breakfast I've had in a long time - recommend! Beautiful bath and super comfy bed.

It would be great to put privacy blinds on the windows in the bedroom as they're big and on two sides and you're right in the central square so with curtains open in the daytime people can see right in!

Great welcome, very friendly and helpful. Excellent spacious room, with all the amenities you could want, plus exceptionally comfortable bed. Wonderful breakfast cooked to order. Location great too. It’s a lovely town, with some great pubs. Everything about the stay was brilliant. Will definitely return.

The property was modernised very well keeping the character and charm of the listed building it is! The proprietors were incredibly welcoming and went over and above to accommodate us even supplying us with amazing food well after the restaurant had closed for the evening! We would definitely go back to enjoy the area without having to rush off to work!

This is a fantastic place to stay! Friendly & hospitable with amazing food! Great big bed and spacious. Easy, peaceful surroundings.

I’m hard to please but The Boarding house ticked a lot of boxes for me! I would suggest perhaps a face cloth in the bathroom but everything was wonderful really.
