The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The room was clean and warm. It is obvious the place is undergoing some decorations and the potential is huge. Plenty of car park spaces

We booked a room for 3 adults but it was a double bed and a small camp bed. The owners offered to move us to two separate rooms. Despite telling booking.com the camp bed is not big enough for an adult they still list it as suitable for 3 adults. Not the fault of the owners.

The landlady was very warm and welcoming. The Bran pillows especially comfy. Very warm room and breakfast was a nice surprise.

A little literature about nearby locations. E.G Beaches, places to eat .

because i am a birder ( birdwatcher ) I would be out at first light on my bike visiting Bird reserves in the area So i would have my Breakfast in the evening when i got back. It was a bowl of cornflakes ( free ). You stay in Chalets in a private garden at the back of the Public House. There is a microwave in the chalet ( you would bring your own cutlery and plates ). The Chef produces evening meals . You can have a cooked breakfast in the pub between 8am and 9.30am.It is a very friendly Pub and a nice atmosphere to relax after a days outing.

You really need a car to get the best out of this location ,( which is usually no bother because most people have a car ! ) You can bike it if you are reasonably fit, eg From Saxmundham Rail stn to the Public House would take about 1 hour if you took it easily.

The room was lovely, was very clean and had a lovely big shower in the bathroom. Breakfast was included and as I'm a bit fussy I asked if I could take off the things I didn't like and it was not a problem at all. Will definitely stay again. Great value for money and the staff were lovely. Gina messaged me in the morning to double check a few things which was great and saved any faffing around when we arrived. Thanks to all your staff xx

Bed was a little hard for me but that's personal preference as my bed at home is soft. It definitely didn't put me off wanting to stay here again. Couldn't get wifi to work, said password incorrect. Had I been staying longer I would have queried it but not an issue at all for one night and I know it would have been resolved quickly. Two VERY MINOR negatives

Lovely clean room with huge bathroom. We asked for a bed for our 3 year old which was ready in the room when we arrived and we also had room to put up our travel cot as well as our bikes! The main bed was huge and extremely comfortable. Lots of towels provided too which was great. We also loved the little outdoor seating/garden area giving our kids a bit if space to run around. The staff were all lovely. Unfortunately we didn't get to try out the pub itself as we were attending a wedding near by. Next time maybe!

The staff are lovely and the room was clean with an extremely comfortable bed. The usual tea and coffee were provided along with 2 bottles of water. I had a cooked breakfast which was excellent. If I had to criticise at all, there was no shower mat nor any toiletries provided, and only half a shower door. This had possibly been removed because of lack of space. However this did not detract from my stay

The shower room was very small, see above

Clean and comfy and a nice breakfast, friendly owners and convenient for local area. It’s simple but still get a good nights sleep.

I’d love to see some bed side lighting rather than just the 1 over head light and curtains over the main windows instead of slatted covers for an even better nights sleep but the accommdation was great otherwise.

Chef Stuart made us a breakfast of which legends are born of, exceptional doesn't cover it. Phil the barman helped us with numbers for local take aways that delivered, the locals in the bar were full of chat and very friendly, making us feel right at home. The room was warm and very comfortable, and quiet, giving us a restful night. If I was in the area I would stay again.

I could not say any thing negative about The Butchers Arms the room was good staff very helpful food great what's not to like.

The staff were very helpful and reorganised their times so I was able to meet my schedule. Food was good, too - particularly the evening meal. The room was in a separate, modern block - basic but clean, with everything I needed

The pub itself lacked the feel of a local's pub - virtually no one in for a pint and a natter.
