The host was lovely, room was comfortable and the facilities were great. It's conveniently located between Ludlow and Hereford which makes it a great base point. There's a lovely beer garden which means you can relax after a busy day and then head back up to the room afterwards. Views from the rooms are great and the building itself is beautiful.

I'd say the only downside is the room was a little dirty in terms of dust and cobwebs in the corners of the room. But that is literally my only complaint regarding the room. There also isn't any food available but as the owner has only just taken on the place, it's a work in progress. That being said - we'd absolutely come back and stay again, which we fully intend to do.

Kindly and welcoming staff though busy bar-tending. Cottage decor very attractive. Spacious seating in sitting room, bedrooms and kitchen- dining room. Private outdoor seating available. Hotel bedroom comfortable with modern bathroom en suite.

No fresh milk nor light meal available on premises though time taken to explain where food might be found. Water pressure in the bathrooms was too low so it was hard to have a proper shower/wash your hair. A loud humming noise outside Bedroom 1 that didn’t stop throughout the night (hotel extractor fan usually on a timer).

A lovely warm welcome after a very late booking, due to issues with another hotel. Staff were very accommodating and even allowed us to grab a quick drink just after last orders. Room was lovely and accommodating, nice touches with fresh milk, fridge, tea and coffee and cereal in the room for breakfast. Certainly would stay again and is excellent value for money.

Automatic light into the bathroom was a little frustrating due to the fan staying on for a period of time throughout the night. But certainly would stop us from staying again.

The property itself and the location were lovely. Whilst we didn't use the bar or terrace area, it seemed to be pretty vibrant and welcoming. Our room was small but clean and comfortable and offered good value. Proper milk in the small fridge for tea and coffee is a simple thing and much appreciated. So much better than those little plastic containers of imitation milk.

There were a few little things that didn't quite hit the spot. There weren't any "builders tea" teabags in the room. Plenty of Earl Grey, Orange Blossom etc but not one ordinary teabag. However this was put right on request. Check in was a little chaotic but I think this was due to staff shortages.

I arrived late, key was left me. amazed when i arrived through the door. My room was so clean, the whole place so welcoming. very friendly staff when meet them in morning. croissants fresh every day. Bed made. i highly recommend this hotel. I would defiantly be staying here again. The staff are very hard working to get the place going again after covid. refurbishing their kitchen , should be up and running. cant wait to go back. miss it already as i just left there after spending four nights. very quiet area,

The room was lovely appart from the matress which was a little hard but not bad. Clean, lots of space, lovely bathroom and good shower. The room was fantastic but the support service around it needs work. I would stay there again.

Lovely hotel but seems to be struggling to get restarted after covid. Arrived Monday evening to be told there was a deep clean the next day and all my stuff had to be put on the bed, hmm ok. Then discovered there was no restaurant or bar, a good continental breakfast basket in your room but no cooked breakfast hmm ok. Half the time there were no staff and when i checked out there were no staff so couldn't pay!!!

Location was lovely, hotel was beautiful, rooms could of done with a bit of dusting such a spiderwebs

The hotel is beautiful and easily accessible. Parking is provided just in front of the hotel. We arrived very late (11pm) and were welcomed warmly. We had a very comfortable and clean room. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom large and also very clean.

The breakfast could have been a bit richer. The kitchen was closed and as a result only some cereals, milk, orange juice, jam and one croissant (for two people) was available. We brought tea from our room to the breakfast area as no hot drinks were offered.

Lovely little apartment in a village hotel with a lot of character. We certainly felt very comfortable both at night when we had a good sleep and in the morning when out kids enjoyed the creatively built playground outside. The restaurant was closed as we stayed on a Monday, but Hereford is just 4 miles away, so we drove down there and had our dinner. Continental breakfast was provided in the apartment, which was great, as we could enjoy it at out own pace.

The shower was leaking a bit, so probably needs fixing, but that didn't create any issues for us.

Cosy warm cottage in a superb location.

One of the bedrooms had no blind or curtains and was directly overlooked by one of the hotel bedrooms. Neither shower worked properly with very poos water pressure and what water there was was either hot or cold... Mostly cold unfortunately.
