Location was great staff were amazing the owner offered to taxi us to the gig we were going to when we found out there were no taxi services at all and also picked us up again late on for a cheap price! Never seen that level of customer service before, but he did used to be a taxi driver so I imagine he's used to it! Nice Garden to sit and quiet area overall. Would stay again!

The mattress was not very good, quite hard and worn in. Rooms could do with a spruce up but apparently a renovation is already in progress and everything else worked well. Shower was better than most I've seen in hotels and worked brilliantly!

We enjoyed our stay at The Kings Head Hotel. It is a great location for exploring beautiful North Yorkshire and the Moors. We were warmly welcomed by Bob, and found all the staff to be very friendly. Breakfast was included in our booking and was very nice, with a good selection and plenty of tea and coffee. We also had two evening meals during our stay, which were excellent. There was a good hospitality tray in our room. We had a twin room with comfy beds, and the shower was hot with a nice range of toiletries.

If I am to be picky, here and there a lick of fresh paint might be an idea, but then, it is an old building and this is not a criticism at all, merely a suggestion. It certainly did not detract from the pleasure of our stay.

Very pleasant hotel/pub and easy to find along the main street in the lovely market town of Kirkbymoorside. Parking was available right outside on the street, with apparently more out the back if we’d needed it. Our twin room was comfortable and very spacious, there was even a bath in the ensuite bathroom. Decent bar food downstairs, and also other food options within walking distance, with other hotels and a fish & chip shop just down the street too. Staff were friendly and seemed very accommodating.

There was a bit of noise from the bar downstairs in the evening, but this is to be expected, and it was completely quiet after about 11 O’Clock.

Nice hotel and the location was ideal for where our staff needed to get to, rooms were comfortable and the food was good too. Hotel in general was clean and tidy and the staff were friendly too, a really nice stay.

There was nothing major but if you do need an early start it may be worth bearing in mind that breakfast starts at 730am. For our staff, as they needed to be at their location by 8am, it made it a little bit rushed for them. Apart from that everything else was lovely.

Breakfast was very good , location fine

Kitchen badly equip , but rectified when reported . Front door sticks when opening and very awkward to open with large object on key ring .The cottage was located in the middle of the outside seating area ,and with no net curtains totally lacked privacy. The location was not disclosed when reading advertisement. This would have been very noisy had there been any outside entertainment.

The room was comfortable, and had everything we needed. The bathroom was large, and well equipped. Our bags were carried upstairs, which we didn't expect and there was a private car park at the rear. Breakfast was well served by a very friendly waiter and there were a lot of choices.

Nothing really although we did not eat dinner at the Kings Head as the menu was not really to our taste.

Needed a hotel whilst working in the area, and on a budget. Kings Head is located in the middle of the village, surrounded by plentiful amenities within walking distance. The greeting was friendly on arrival, with parking on site (or plentiful on-street if car park full) The room was small but that wasn't an issue. The bed was very comfortable, en-suite toilet/shower, tea/coffee making facilities. The room was quiet, with no noise from the bar downstairs or the street. It met my expectations perfectly, and a reasonable price too.

Room is maybe a little dated, but this didn't detract from my enjoyable stay there.

The staff and the property are about as perfect as it can be. The owners are truly interested in supporting their guests with anything they can do to help. I stayed 4 days this week, and already booked my next stay!

There's a bunny in the courtyard who sometimes pushes his/her water bottle out of its holder. Poor little bunny. lol.... (The place is that good... that this is the only thing I could think ok! lol. I gave the rabbit its water back. :)

Made to feel very welcome by the owner and other staff. The room suited our needs very well as we were able to take the dogs outside directly. Food was lovely, beds were soooo comfy, everything was clean. Village was lovely to walk round especially in the evening. A great place to stay. I know the pictures don't show much but my furbabies were so comfy and chilled.

Having to go home!
