Park Hotel

The hotel was ideally located just out side the town centre but within walking distance. It was clean and tidy and all members of staff were pleasant and friendly. Comfy bed with the usual tea and coffee, hair dryer. Evening meal was very nice with a set menu with a choice of a 2 or 3 courses meal. Breakfast was a self serve buffet style which seems to be the norm in hotels these days. There is a bar with a selection of beers, lagers wines and spirits. There is a small memorial park opposite the hotel where you can have a walk in pleasant surroundings.

The bedroom décor is a little dated making the room dark during the day, not the best lighting again a bit dull. No electric shaver, toothbrush power point in the bathroom. The bar area lacked comfortable seating it just had tall chairs and high tables along with basic tables and dining chairs. It would of been nicer with a few sofas or armchairs to sit and relax in?

The Hotel was large and had plenty of space in the bar and lounge areas. The bedrooms were large rooms, clean and well presented. The staff were helpful and friendly and nothing was ok much trouble for them. There was plenty of parking spaces. It was also an ideal touring base for The Kelpies and The Falkirk Wheel as well as being adjacent to the motorway for Glasgow and Edinburgh

The continental breakfast was disappointing as cold sliced meat was in the chill cabinet but no sliced cheese. However that’s a bit picky as the food was good. Not fancy but simple restaurant dishes that most people would like.

Basic breakfast. Was getting a bit boring by our 4th and last day. Good accessible room. Low bed. Plenty of various seating in the room. Like a 2nd home. We had a car and could park onsite at no cost.

Location was not the best, but that is why it was at a good price. Good that we had a car. The mirror in the accessible bathroom was about the size of an A4 paper and too high for anyone in a wheelchair to make use of. Someone had skimped on the reno? But, then the mirror above the writing desk was about 3 feet long. Suggestion, swap the mirrors around......

A group of four of us stayed at the Park Hotel for three nights B&B. 5th to 8th June 2023. In three rooms, we also had one evening meal there. All the rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. All the evening food was excellent, delicious and the portion sizes were good. The food was good quality and excellently cooked and served. All the staff were lovely, professional, and efficient, particularly Sylwia S and Charles they couldn’t do more to help us in every way. Keep up the good work and thank you all. The only disappointing thing about the Park Hotel was the breakfasts, we had three of them and all our party were disappointed, the plates were cold and breakfast was only warm at best, and there was a lack of choice. We will definitely return to The Park Hotel if the breakfasts improve, but other than that, the property is excellent value and a nice place to stay.

The location is perfect, right across the road from a lovely park and within a short walk of central Falkirk. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel has a great bar/restaurant area and outdoor seating. I worked from my room one day and no issues with wifi.

The rooms are quite small and a little dated. The breakfast buffet could have used more variety and more healthy options. In the current heat wave, I would have loved air con, but this isn't normally necessary in Scotland. The windows can be opened.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very nice breakfast and dinner. Well cooked and presented plus no long waits between courses. It was in an excellent position to get around the major points of interest in Falkirk. Worth a visit and I may return next year.

We didn't initially like our room as it had no window and the morning after we arrived the shower didn't drain. However the hotel were very happy to move us to another room quickly and removed our belongings for us whilst we were out.Good service.

Easy to check in. Hotel and room were clean and tidy. Breakfast was good quality and offered a hot selection which was a pleasant surprise as we only expecting a continental breakfast. Otherwise it was only the briefest of stays so did not experience much else in the hotel. Location convenient for the centre of Falkirk yet easy to drive too and plenty of parking.

Hot night when we stayed and the bedroom was very warm, even with the window open. A fan was provided but we did not used this as we expected it would be noisy,

Breakfast was good (scrambled eggs lovely!) apart from the tattie scones, as they were tough. Ate a few nights in the hotel restaurant, and had the good value three course meal - delicious both occasions! 😋

Our only complaint (which I mentioned to the lady at reception) was that when we arrived, we noticed straight away that our room carpet hadn't been hoovered. Everything else was fine, and housekeeping were excellent at changing towels, bins etc.

We stayed for an evening dinner which was very reasonably priced and tasty. The room was spacious, with a nice view. Staff were very pleasant and attentive. Despite it being a busy and large holiday hotel, we felt we were treated courteously with a very friendly attitude.

The bathroom – whilst very clean and modern – lacked any hooks or shelves to place toiletries/towels, other than the edge of the sink. We had a problem with our television which was an inconvenience was promptly dealt with.

Location is great just a 10 minute walk from the town, the staff are so accommodating, friendly and approachable,, this hotel was welcoming and friendly and made you feel as though they knew you, remembering your drink and excellent room service, the food was beautiful and great value for money aswell, it was clean and tidy, great atmosphere, would definitely recommend and will definably be going back again in the future. :)
