Premier Lodge

We booked this hotel due to its proximity to the Kelpies (a ten minute walk away) and were not disappointed. The hotel is in a safe location and will cost around £10 taxi fare, or a few minutes drive by car from central Falkirk. The staff were warm and friendly on arrival, outstanding customer service - above and beyond just doing their job well, and so helpful and welcoming. The hotel was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and we instantly felt at home and cannot recommend the Premier Lodge highly enough. Thank you Robert, Carol, and all of the staff; we can't wait to visit again! Tip: Before you leave Falkirk, you MUST also visit Central Perk Cafe next to the train station.

Absolutely cannot fault the hotel or the staff, it was superb. A couple of guests were a little noisy but things soon calmed down and that wasn't a reflection of the hotel. The Premier Lodge is a room-only hotel and there are not many restaurants very close to it if you want to eat out without going back into Falkirk centre, but it has kitchen facilities you are welcome to use, a vending machine, and you can order food from local businesses to be delivered to the hotel entrance.

the staff were really nice, the night shift lady on Friday when we arrived gave us a lovely welcome, she told us all about the local area & offered to help us order some dinner & how to get it delivered & we were allowed to use the staff kitchen if we wanted to, which was handy for wine glasses and cutlery etc. the location was great for seeing the Kelpies and not too far for other attractions, we drove into Edinburgh which was just 40 mins . the room we had was big, such a nice change, we actually had room to walk around, it had a walk in wardrobe and a big bathroom with a great shower. the beds were really comfortable and although we only stayed for 2 nights, the beds were made up each day & fresh towels for the bathroom. we would definitely stay here again.

there was some noise from the motorway but not enough to interfere with our sleep & definitely not worth complaining about.

Checking in was smooth and easy, the rooms were upstairs and there was a spacious lift to carry our luggage. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of free parking space. The facility is not that beautiful, but it's well located as it's less at than 30 mins from the airport, so it's perfect for those who only need a place to stay before boarding a plane.

Unfortunately, the shower was set so to pour hot water only and there were no power sockets beside the beds. Additional note: they do not offer breakfast.

Absolutely fantastic hotel very convenient to main motorway perfect spot to meet family members who travelled from all parts of Scotland. Excellent and friendly staff Susan on the reception and Anita House keeping. We only stayed one on the 11th of February and had asked in advance if we could extend our checkout time and a high floor each request was in place for us on arrival. Room was spacious and well equipped everything you required fantastic shower . We would Absolutely stay in this hotel again and definitely Excellent for work sleep overs delighted he found this hotel. I travel a lot for work up and down the country but this gem puts the big hotels to shame . Would recommend this hotel 100% . I would like to thank all the staff we met and the arrangements which we asked for. Other hotels should take a leaf out of this Excellent hotel. Hopefully will be returning soon . The room was very spacious. Shower cubicle was so big, I could stretch my elbows out. The room was well presented with a large TV. As we were working nights, staff were very helpful to make sure we weren't disturbed and suggested to leave used towels by the door. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. This was 100 times nicer than a 4-star hotel I previously stayed at for business.

With my room located on the top floor, front facing, I could still hear other guests talking on the ground level at the smoking area. But fortunately, the hotel is located in a quiet industrial area and so I wasn't disturbed too much. And sleeping in the day can always be difficult.

The rooms are well equipped, and the bathroom is surprisingly big and clean. We only stayed one night, and not a long one either, but it was ok. The hotel has a night porter for if you need something.

The noise... They could work on the soundproofing of the rooms. Some other people were non stop talking on the foyer and going in and out of the rooms which would be perfectly normal is you couldn't hear every little detail... Also in the summer the days are long so some better blinds could also help.

Staff were very friendly and accomodating. Room was spotless and very well equipped with kettle, USB plug sockets, Smart TV, Free Wifi and a good amount of storage. The bed was comfortable and warm. Bathroom was spacious with an excellent shower and a good amount of body wash / shampoo provided. Despite being in an industrial estate the room seemed to have good soundproofing as nothing was heard overnight or in the morning. The car park has plenty of spaces.

We couldn't find any temperature control which meant it felt too warm in the room in the morning and the towel warmer in the bathroom wasn't switched on / working which meant the bathroom was very cold

Unfortunately while I was staying there were cars racing around the industrial estate and surrounding area, very noisy. There was also a lot of comings and going’s outside my ground floor window so it didn’t feel very safe. The hotel are doing everything they can to stop this but even so, because of this I probably wouldn’t stay there again. It was also very noisy with other guests shouting outside my bedroom door in the early hours

Thought I'd booked premier inn so was a bit taken a back that there wasn't a breakfast or bar - saying this what I booked is what I got . The staff were great - helpful and welcoming, the room was up there at the top with cleanliness and was in good order. The bed was great. The location wasn't the greatest for me and a bit of noise from the 'speedy company ' at 6 - I had early starts so wasn't too miffed. Would stay again.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable. Room and facilities clean. Elevator was appreciated.

The horrible lights in the room. The first room I was in had a bright light in the bathroom that could not be turned off. The next room had a small green light in the ceiling of the bedroom and the bathroom. Very disruptive to sleep. I'm not likely to be in Falkirk again, but if I am, I will stay elsewhere.
