Anchor Guest House

The location is great, situated in a quiet neighborhood full of houses, very close to the Golder's Green tube station. The host was very welcoming. The room had one extra bed, a small fridge and a very big tv. For the price it was excellent! I can totally recommend this to friends visiting. We were also staying very close to the Golder's Hill park which was amazing. The heating was spot on.

The bathroom is using some sort of pumping system which is quite noisy while running. We were close to a back alley which rarely has cars passing by but each time it happens, they run over a sewer lid which makes some noise. There is an led light on the hallway outside which still lights up the room a bit even with the blinds on. Hot water takes a bit of time to arrive. The WiFi was not so reliable, sometimes it cut off completely.

The location was perfect round the corner from the tube station. Only 4 stops to Camden Town which is where we were heading, and a good variety of shops and eateries. Very clean hotel. Not a speck of dust to be seen. Very helpful gentleman on reception also.

A little dated in parts, but as somewhere to rest your head, does that matter?

Clean toilets, excellent location, heating facilities very good. Availability of fridge and quick coffe/tea facilities.

Small room for 3 people, expected it to be a bit larger. No space for luggage in the room.

The staff is very friendly, always in a good mood and available to solve any question. The location is great, 15 minutes by bus from a large shopping center and 5 minutes walking from the metro station and buses that can take us to any point in London. In addition, it is 5 minutes from many shops, such as restaurants, cafes or small supermarkets and also from a large supermarket. The rooms have television, coffee maker, tea, hairdryer and shower gel and shampoo.

The only con is that the rooms are really small. But as they are only for sleeping, it turns out not to be an inconvenience to point out. Finally, I just want to emphasize again that the staff is really friendly!

Comfortable bed good location for the underground and shops plus had a fridge in the room provided everything you need without extra charges except the safe and what I think was air conditioning

It was a pleasant experience. The location of the hotel is excellent, situated in a convenient and vibrant area of London. It was easy to access public transportation, and there were plenty of shops, restaurants, and attractions within walking distance. The room I stayed in was clean, comfortable, and adequately equipped with the necessary amenities. The bed was cozy, and the bathroom was well-maintained. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful.

The room size was a bit smaller than expected, which might be a concern for those who prefer more spacious accommodations.

Stayed at this hotel for one night with family. The hotel is fully consistent with its price and you will 100% get what you pay for. The room is clean and has everything you need (hairdryer, refrigerator, iron). The entire staff is very pleasant and accommodating. We had a room for four people, a little cramped, but do not forget about its price. Nearby there is a beautiful park with deer and other animals. I can safely recommend this hotel to you if you just need to spend the night. Close to the underground, 30 minutes to the center.

The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk away from Golders Green tube station and the National Express coach station. It is also near the high street with many shops and places to eat, as well as a Sainsbury's right behind the hotel. The manager was a friendly and helpful gentleman. There were nice little touches provided that aren't always available in hotels, such as a refrigerator in the room and a microwave downstairs, which were both really useful for us. As well as keeping extra mugs, cutlery and plates stacked on a table that you could access at any time. Overall the place was clean and housekeeping maintained well. I loved how the shower was amazingly powerful (but could be adjusted according to preference). The room has numerous UK and European plug sockets. There are parking spaces for 3 cars on the driveway and 3 cars behind the hotel.

There was dust on the shelves in the room, that I wiped clean myself. There were minor issues such as light bulbs needing to be replaced and the toilet roll holder fixed. The double bed felt a little lopsided but that did not disrupt my sleep. The two single beds were fine and comfortable. The bathroom is small and narrow, particularly in regards to sitting on the toilet, with the towel rail right in front of you almost touching your knees. The TV is rather small. However, the negatives are outweighed by the positives and I would return here again.
