Maitrise Hotel Maida Vale - London

I liked the location and the comfortable beds and bathroom.

I didn't like the freezing cold in the room which was only solved on the following day after changing rooms 3 times. There was a proper apology on the side of the management but only after I insisted on the fact that the heating wasn't working and that the temperature in the room was 15° C.

This was a short once night stay for me. So I was looking for most cost effective option. I didn't need luxury, just a place to sleep the night. I had a cute little room, with a double bed, a tv, desk, a wardrobe and a bathroom. Not much space for anything else but I didn't need it. Comfy bed, modern bathroom and tea and coffee making facilities. I slept really well, was nice and quiet and staff were friendly.

the hotel is perfectly located in kilburn with lots of shops and restaurants around. it only takes 3 minutes to go to the tube to easily go into central london. we paid about 330 euros via booking.com for a room with a window and free cancellation in case we were prevented (we stayed 3 nights). the room was more spacious than many other hotel rooms in central london. it was clean and fresh. if I had to comment a bit, the bed was quite hard, but you still sleep well after all the walking in London. What could be a little better is the bathroom. There was quite a lot of limescale deposits on the shower head etc. if the bathroom were to be refreshed a little more, everything would be top rated. I don't know much about the service as we are very independent, but a gentleman helped me get access to the gym next to the hotel for only 5 euros approx. which is an incredibly good price. The hotel cooperates with a restaurant which is located next to the wall. we ate an Indian-infused English breakfast which was very good. The summary is that the hotel gets a strong rating partly because of the price and the easy accessibility to get around London. We could stay here again if the price is the same :) best regards the swedish couple

Bathroom could be more clean.

Across the street from the overground station. Two stops from London Euston. Friendly staff. Clean room and a really lovely restaurant on the ground floor serving Indian Street food. Some of the guests were a bit lively but it was Notting hill Carnival so to be expected. Walls seemed fairly thick! I was solo travelling for a show at Wembley and found the commute from hotel room to stadium was really easy.

Room had no windows. This is only a minor complaint but important to note nonetheless.

Great location to everything we wanted to get to. We could come and go whenever we wanted. Staff were helpful.

1st day of arrival, we had 1 set of towels, when 2 of us were staying in one room, so asked for another set, didn't receive any that day, had to ask again on the 2nd day to eventually get towels. We weren't the only people that asked for towels either. Also a but more of a comfier pillow would of been nice. Oh also windows were locked. Should of asked for it to of been opened, but after the predicament of the towels, I just got on with it, but having windows open in future would be good.

I have had a consistently good experience at the Maitrise. It's always clean, the staff are very efficient and helpful, the location is very convenient as well for both tube stations and it's a very reasonable price.

On this occasion I was in a room on the top floor with generators directly outside the window, which made for quite a noisy night. I would (and will) definitely stay at the hotel again but would probably ask not to have that room in future.

Stayed here last week with my partner as we were visiting a friend near by and was amazed with the quality. The hotel is in an amazing location with a tube station only a few minutes away and a lot of shops near. The staff were really accommodating and allowed us to check in earlier as we had a lot of bags with us and had been travelling for over 8 hours. The room was clean and comfortable and had air conditioning which was nice as I like to sleep in a cold room. The bed was incredibly comfortable and warm and although the room was small they’ve made really good use of the space they did have. Free Wifi was available upon arrival and it worked great even in our room the room also had a TV and tea and coffee facilities. We didn’t try the restaurant but the food smelt delicious and we did look at the menu on the desk at reception and it looked like a good selection. House keeping brought new towels for us on our second day and changed/made the bed. There’s staff on reception 24/7 all of those we saw were incredibly lovely and really polite and helpful. Check in/out was super easy and we both felt like we where at home. Lovely hotel great value for money and amazing staff. Highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be back soon.

The bathroom was nice but needed a bit of a clean. The water pressure wasn’t the best so had a few issues flushing the toilet. The shower head needed a clean also as it seemed to be a bit blocked and affected the way the water came out, we also noticed the handle on the shower door was a little bit loose which made it hard to close. The walls are also rather thin so on a few occasions we heard some guests enjoying their rooms a little too much. Apart from that there was no other faults.

came to London for the football final. on arriving we were allowed to check in early. the staff were very helpful and presentable. a great friendly atmosphere from the staff.

two faults I could have picked are. The bathroom wasn’t very clean. I.e the shower.. however we did get an early check in so the cleaners could have been rushed! not the end of the world. They offer breakfast which is great but everything has an Indian twang to it on the menu which wasn’t for us, but a great bar up the street served a very good full English.

I was pleasantly surprised by how nice my room was, considering this was one of the cheapest options I found for the night. And location was fine. I had to travel to visit tourist destinations, but the underground was a 3 minute walk away and the overground about 2 minutes. I wasn't expecting much. The restaurant was in the process of a refurb so breakfast was unavailable but this was made clear to me prior to my stay, the room was a good size, the bathroom and shower modern and clean. And the bed was comfy. Couldn't have asked for more.

I suppose if I were to really nit pick, there wasn't any hand soap in the bathroom. But I imagine had I asked at reception it would have been sorted
