Antoinette Hotel Wimbledon

The location and facilities are great, especially because parking is onsite and secure. The staff, as always, are friendly and accommodating. The standard double room is not the biggest, but it has everything you would want. A comfortable bed and pillow are necessary, to which I never have any problem. The lighting in the bathroom is particularly good on this occasion, too.

I didn't like that this time, I was given a room at the front of the hotel, because there is a club next to the hotel which can be rather loud and noisy especially on a Saturday night, plus road noise. This wouldn't be a problem if the hotel had double glazing.

The staff were attentive and friendly. You could choose your warm breakfast, so less food got wasted. A shower problem got solved right away. Great! The cleaning staff did a good job and the room got even cleaned, when we were a bit late. The toilet paper is soft and not thin!

The arrival was upsetting. The receptionist did not greet us and was unfriendly. The first impression you get from a hotel is the moment you step in and they make you feel welcome. This wasn't the case. We're glad that everybody else was friendly. The next day Tom was at the reception 😊 Tom and the other staff, were kind and attentive. We only saw the unfriendly receptionist on the coronation night and he wasn't at the reception, instead slumped on a sofa chair on his phone. Of course, he didn't greet us. Gives the hotel an unprofessional look. Couldn't enter at the second night the room, card key wasn't working. The cushions are a bit on the hard side. My neck got sore. The bed is a bit small. You can hear people's conversations from the other rooms. Walls could be more noise proof.

The staff were very friendly and were happy to anything for you. The hotel was clean and I felt safe. The room was lovely and clean suitable for my needs. I was surprised to find out that staff had cleaned my room whilst I was out and provided fresh towels and replenished the tea and coffee.

Noisy neighbours but was out of the hotels control.

Convenient location with free parking in the centre of Wimbledon. Easy access to local area and trains/ tube into central London. Friendly helpful staff and well maintained hotel overall if perhaps a little dated in decor. Perfectly suited for a one night stay/ short break in London as you avoid the congestion charge and can leave your vehicle throughout your stay without issue, including ahead of checking into your room. Would recommend.

Breakfast was charged extra and whilst there was a good choice of food ( classic English breakfast, toast , cereal, fresh fruit and continental) I felt it was overpriced . Toiletries advertised are really just hand soap and shampoo , altho' hairdryer was included ( I didn't use it) so bring your own. Shower was fixed which I dislike as wanted to use it for a quick freshen up without washing hair so didn't bother.

The location was great! Walking distance to the centre, amenities and public transport. The comfort was a great level with extra pillows provided in the room and the size of the room we booked was slightly bigger than expected which was nice. Staff are friendly as well!

Unfortunately we could hear noises through the night like construction or sounds from the corridor that were a little loud. We could hear switches being turned on and off and doors opening and closing in what we assumed were the other rooms however sounded like they came from the room. The lift is extremely small meaning one person at a time if there's luggage

The property is ideally located close to Wimbledon main line allowing fast access to London. It has a small but secure car park, providing the option to arrive by public transport or car. The staff were very efficient and friendly throughout my short stay, holding a bag securely for me prior to check in and after check out to enable me to travel around London easily. Breakfast was done well, with continental options (limited but good) available on the buffet, but a cooked breakfast available on request. This was provided quickly, well cooked and was delicious. My room and all other public areas were very clean. In all a very nice hotel.

I had no issues, nor complaints. The car park is not large, approximately 15 places so that may be an issue at some times and it is located on a busy high street, but noise was very muted due to the triple glazing and did not impact me in any way.

The hotel was in a great location, outside central London but with Wimbledon station less than a ten minute walk it was very easy for us to get to the West End where we were headed. The room was clean and quiet, a basic double which was fine for us. The room was well stocked with tea/coffee and the staff happily gave us more when asked for. Despite being in London the room was quiet at night. The bed was comfortable, and there was plenty of clothes storage for one night. We managed to get a parking space at the hotel also which was very helpful.

The only issues we had with the room were that the sheets on the bed were a bit rough, and the shower went in and out occasionally, but these are minor gripes that had no real effect on our stay overall.

Friendly staff, very helpful excellent location and parking.the rooms were on the small side, but the best night sleep ever.considering I'm insomniac, I slept so well, Great place, we, loved our stay. Fabulous bars and restaurants near, and 10 mins walk to station. We will ldeffo be back.air con in the room, which was amazing if you do stay go to the Italian on queen's road, al forno, it was delicious. The manager was lovely, very chatty,cand helped us with train/tube routes we didn't have breakfast as really didn't want to leave the bed! So cannot comment. Thank you Antoinette hotel 5*****

Nice little hotel with an uninspiring front on the street. Don't let it put you off. Staff is charming. Room sizes vary. "Executive" rooms are pretty small but upgrading from there gets you more space. There is construction next door but only during the day. Very good location near South Wimbledon tube stop and plenty of shops and restaurants. I was there for three short stays over the summer and each time was lovely. Would definitely return.

After large breakfast spreads in my Norway hotel, this seems a bit pedestrian. But eggs cooked to order was a nice touch.

Location is perfect for restaurants, bars, theatre etc. 5 minute walk to tube station then 20 mins into Central London theatre district. Staff are friendly and hotel is clean and comfortable. Yet to stay for dinner……

The breakfast price seems a little pricey to me, so we tend to go out for breakfast. It would be nice if they occasionally added breakfast to the room price, without putting the price up. Would stay here again though.
