The Lodge Hotel - Putney

The service was excellent , the room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was great and reasonably priced. The location suited us perfectly being a 4 minute walk to east putney station on the jubilee line. There is a bus stop right outside the door for buses taking you to Wandsworth , Southside shopping centre Clapham junction and putney etc… Beds were comfy and all by amenities were great. Staff responded quickly to all requests and any issues that arrived.

There is no lift but it is only a 3 storey building and the staff kindly took outr very heavy cases up and down to our room on the top floor. I didn’t sleep that well but I doubt it had anything to do with the hotel.

Very excellent location. Don’t worry it only seems that it far from the center. Direct line is very good to reach it. As you know subway in London very uncomfortable because of situation with ventilation in the train. Many of them very narrow and the stations without fresh air where this trains approaching. But no worries - this direct line from the hotel is new and excellent with cosy chairs and condition. Stations are also good👍🏻 Breakfast was excellent. Red fish , many types of cheese and fruits, several types of meet, yogurt, berries ( also blueberries, but very quickly disappear for some reasons), omelette, eggs , fried eggs, beans, bacon , mushrooms, spinach, bakery

The bed was a little bit narrow for two of us

Room was very clean & quite large. The bed was really comfortable & the shower water pressure was great also. Breakfast was delicious with both hot & cold options. The staff even organise a Grab & Go breakfast (which included several pastries, multiple pieces of fruit & a sandwich) & a takeaway coffee on the morning we had an early day trip booked. We were also able to do some personal business with the help of Stefanie at reception. The location is very convenient , only a few minutes walk to the tube station which is extremely easy to get around on. I would absolutely stay here again if I’m ever back in London.

A little bit of a maze to get to our room which made transporting our luggage a little difficult. Not enough of an issue to put me off staying again.

The Lodge Hotel is just beautiful! Everything is lovely, comfortable, stylish, cosy and it was a joy to have our little overnight mini-moon there! The staff went above and beyond in every way. The room was lovely and had everything we needed. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and a great choice, including delicious cooked spinach! We loved chilling in the bar area and lobby waiting for our cab. It was easy to arrange a late check-out too.

Genuinely, nothing could have been better - I can't think of anything at all. Perhaps a larger mirror in the bedroom, but the one there was really stylish.

We loved the Superior Studio. It was very roomy and interesting. It had a lovely feel to it. Bed was so comfy, pillows too. Breakfast was really perfect, couldn't ask for any more. The quality of the food was fantastic, and also the variety of food on offer was tremendous. The staff at breakfast were so friendly, helpful and made it such a lovely experience. The Hotel itself is so tastefully decorated, really lovely to stay there, and the staff go above and beyond to make sure your stay is all you expected and hoped for. Such a lovely relaxed atmosphere, We will definitely be retuning to stay in November. can't wait. An added bonus , was a fully equipped gym, which was just perfect. We highly recommend The Lodge Hotel, Putney, absolutely wonderful

Can't think of anything negative at all

Beautiful property with amazingly friendly staff. It was a boiling hot day and the room aircon was a life saver. The bed is super comfortable, with what felt like a duck down duvet which was cosy and cool. I tried the room service and had some amazing food. All the food felt fresh, was cooked perfectly and with love. I had the morning breakfast room service - this was amazing. The sausages are high quality, the selection of all foods was great and once again the staff where amazing! The hotel is close to East Putney tube station which is on the District Line and very easy to get (deeper) into London. There are parks and shops around for should you need to touch grass or nibble on snacks. The room has a mini bar with reasonably priced goodies. Wifi good - it will let you stream without issues but it does have one of those sign in guest gateways.

The only draw back for me was the lack of food options on Sunday. The restaurant is closed and they do not have a scaled down snack menu for when the kitchen is shut. Would be nice to order a Sunday sandwich or something simple.

We had a reservation for this hotel for over a month and we loved it from the photos. The reality is even better. Very comfy room, super clean and quite big. We loved the bathroom and it was perfectly cleaned! In this hotel we have had the best breakfast! Fresh fruits and veggies, joghurt, sausages, eggs… very tasty! I will miss these breakfasts. There is nothing to critizise. I was little bit scared of the negative reviews, but everything was perfect. Also the staff was very friendly - especially on the reception. We also had a great dinner in Hide&Seed Hotel restaurant and it was delicious. Altough the waitress was a little bit slow and not that friendly as the other staff. We will definitely come back sometimes! Also the underground was lile 8 minutes by walk and train station 15 minutes away by walk.

The location of the hotel is in a quit neighbourhood. It is 5 minutes walk from underground and has bus station in the entrance of the hotel. It’s important to note that the hotel is not located in central London attractions but has a good access to the main areas. The rooms were cute and clean . There weren’t as much rooms in the hotel so it didn’t feel very busy.

We got our room on the second floor (the last floor). The hotel didn’t have an elevator so it was quite hard to bring all the language to the room. Also, because we got the room in the last floor and the design of the hotel was like traditional English house with low ceilings, it was hard to get a shower. Because of the low ceiling we couldn’t be able to stand while showering. (We were girls with average heigh $

Fantastic location right between southside shopping area and Putney. Easy access to public transport. The room was clean, modern and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless with a great shower. Love having functional air conditioning during the heat, especially as you could adjust it to your comfort level, some hotels lock this function. Breakfast had a good selection, I didn't try the restaurant and bar but they looked good. A nice little gym with everything you could need was great. I will definitely be coming back again. Oh and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Only thing would be to add on site bike storage. The staff were lovely and stored my bike in their back office, but I'm sure it would be more practical to have something lockable out the front or back.

Our room was nicely appointed. The shower was extremely tight but we found that in most of our accomodations. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely with a wide variety of offerings. We ate dinner one evening at the lodge and it was very good. Had one of the absolute best Mojitos ever prepared by the bartender/waitress who was very accomodating of our request to cut the sugar. I found the staff to be extremely helpful with all of our needs. They helped book us a massage, answered some questions regarding our booking, gave us good insight on travel to Gatwick airport, etc. Always pleasant and helpful. The location was ideal for a quick hop on the tube just down the street which we used to access both Wimbledon and other parts of London. There is a co-op and small grocery just down the block as well.

The doors stick a good bit so it's difficult to close one quietly which applied to us when we were leaving early to queue and to other guests who came and went in the middle of the night.
