Holiday Inn London Sutton, an IHG Hotel

The staff were just fabulous, check in, breakfast, house keeping, everyone was so helpful and friendly. The room was lovely and quiet and cool, plus great curtains (I hate when it isn't dark!) and spotlessly clean. Sutton is a good balance of near enough to London but far enough away to have a little more peace at night, and has good shops and restaurants too. Kids eat free for breakfast was also an unexpected and fantastic bonus!

It was tricky at the pool because my sons were too old to accompany me in the female changing room but too young to use the mens alone. But this was really a minor thing as we weren't there to use that facility, it was just a plus.

not so far from London but also near the main shopping street in Sutton’s. Nice neighborhood. wonderful stuff. They did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We had many very pleasant interactions with the maids, restaurant, staff, and reception staff. It was probably the best hotel stuff I’ve ever encountered.

nothing really. We were quite satisfied with the property. It’s not the newest hotel, but it’s clean and comfortable. The restaurant was a bit on the expensive side but the meals were very good. Breakfast was included in the price of a room. It was outstanding.

The hotel is central, very near High St., but quiet, inside- out at the same time. The room had everything needed, including a safe, ironig facility and, most of all, a refrigerator of good size, empty for you alone to use; not full of little bottles and snacks to buy. An exceptional treat!

No real "complains" though: I just would have appreciated a) fresh loafs of bread additionally to the toast bread offered, b) hard boiled eggs (perhaps I could have ordered them, which I did not think to do, to be fair,) and c) a restaurant like cooked menu for dinner. The beef bourguignon as it was prepared is just OK for the first night of a late arrival, although, I shall add that the service was excellent for dinner as it is in all domains of this hotel's services.

Liked all breakfast One older, male receptionist on my arrival was a bit curt unfriendly So I was a little sad that the enthusiastic female receptionist wasn’t able to serve us on arrival. She had taken our cool on our way in to book the restaurant and was extremely polite helpful and friendly which is what one expects from a receptionist.The male receptionist forgot to give us our room key at the end of the booking in process and just appeared quite unhelpful and a bit dismissive of our initial concerns. Not a good start to our break. Thankfully all the rest of staff were fantastic

The room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Being on a specific regime, i had asked the staff if i could have an omlette made for breakfast instead on the usual menu and the kitchen staff made this without hesitation and to my request, which was greatly appreciated. I would like to thank the front reception staff (Roy Llanos) in particular for his constant support, friendly nature and willingness to help with any queries i had and support i needed during my stay. I have visited HI, Sutton twice in the last month for work and Roy has been friendly and helpful on both occasions.

Location in regard to Royal Marsden Hospital. Near High Street and restaurants. Brilliant leisure facilities which we really enjoyed and the staff in leisure club were very welcoming and friendly 😀

Breakfast was a little disappointing as clearly a large group had come in before us and wait for some buffet items was above 10 minutes possibly due to the fact that some people were getting food cooked to order and brought to table. Coffee machine was empty but filled up fairly quickly. Staff did their best. In particular receptionist who booked us in was lovely.

The property is conveniently located very close to the High Street. They have a ramp for easy access with heavy luggage and sufficient parking spots. we didn’t see any in-room dining menus displayed or placed any where. However their breakfast was good and the staff serving there is excellent. We used their laundry services which was very quick and efficient. The room was comfortable for a family of 4, although not very large. Although a chiller for drinks was not placed in the room initially, upon request they immediately provided one. Check in and out experiences were a breeze.

Parking is not free. There are no complimentary water bottles in the room, although they have tea/coffee facility. Window does not open for ventilation.

Clean and lovely room Bed was lovely. Staff very attentive and helpful clean hotel and all areas access to the pool and sauna and hot tub an absolute great feature

DEFINITELY should have china mugs/cups in a room at that price on the drink tray. Toiletries in bathroom could be labelled better? I could not see what each item was and for someone with bad eyesight it would be “pot luck”

Facilities were great and all the staff were so friendly and accommodating, made us feel so comfortable and treated us so well. Definitely will be returning.

Nothing we didn’t like, but just an observation to maybe change up the food menu occasionally or put a special on, as we are there because we have to visit the royal marsden (as maybe do others) which means they stay frequently so variety is good. But it’s only an observation not a dislike. As we love it there it’s perfect.

All the staff in every area (restaurant, reception, housekeeping, leisure centre) were excellent, professional and welcoming. Ian in the restaurant is fantastic and it was good to see him again this year! We were in the restaurant at about closing time and yet the staff didn't rush us to get out and maintained their professionalism but we asked for our desserts to take away and they placed them on trays for us to take to our rooms. My teenage daughter was celebrating her birthday over the weekend and there was a knock on the room door and a staff member brought a birthday card from the staff at Holiday Inn - that was a special touch that she really appreciated :-)

I would suggest there are more vegetarian options on the half board main menu instead of just one option a risotto.
