Dukes Head Hotel

The location was good for our plans to see a show that evening. Staff were very welcoming & helpful. Room was spacious & equipped with plenty of refreshments. Shower & sink units were very modern. The large bed was very comfortable & relaxing. Breakfast was superb & freshly cooked & offered extra menu choices for same rate. Free parking was a bonus too.

It was a lovely place to stay but for the price of the room only accommodation I would have expected there to be a small fridge provided as standard & a few more plug sockets or USB charging points. There was also a selection of bar snacks presented in the room but some items on the price list were not on the tray so we had to clarify with reception that we hadn't consumed the missing packets.

A lovely nights stay at the Dukes Head in a room that was spacious, clean, quiet and very comfy. Plenty of sockets and USB ports. The floor light in the bathroom was great for those 'need to go' strolls in the middle of the night (no glaring lights to contend with). The shower was brilliant, toiletries were nice and the extra large fluffy towels were appreciated. Eight of us had a meal in the evening and being a Friday night it was busy in the restaurant and bar but all the staff were friendly, helpful and made sure we were ok throughout. A great selection for breakfast and a large area for parking. Would recommend the Dukes Head.

Contemporary styled room with fresh decor and smart bathroom. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was very good, especially having freshly cooked hot options. The cold buffet was good too, but we would have preferred natural yoghurt to the highly processed flavoured ones. Friendly, helpful staff.

Check in and parking were difficult arriving on a busy Friday evening. For reception we had to go and find help at the busy bar. Instructions for the coffee machine and for turning on the heated towel rail would have been helpful. We were surprised by how much the room rates had increased since our previous visit.

The room was brand new, the room size was spacious. The room itself was comfortable, clean and immaculate. The bed was comfortable, I had a great sleep there. The bathroom was well equipped with nice toiletries. You have everything you would need provided there. The staff were nice and friendly. I left my passport at the hotel and the staff was very helpful. They helped facilitated everything and overnighted my passport to the next destination on time for my flight back home. I am very very appreciated for their best service.

I could hear the room upstairs but other than that, everything was perfect. I couldn't ask for more.

Only one sachet of coffee and one milk sachet Pod machine would benefit guests with instructions on how to use We returned after evening out just before 1am and Staff member cleaning in bar appeared very unhappy as we could not access to get in the hotel

Really lovely decorated and comfortable room. Shower was soo good.

WiFi was a bit of a pain to log into. Had dinner both nights. First was lovely, second was over cooked battered fish. Fish was lovely the batter was thick and overcooked. Ordered two drinks on the second night, along with the fish. Pint glass was dirty, as in used... not dirty after being washed. Bit disappointed after the first initial night.

The location for what I required was perfect. Staff were very helpful and went out of their way to answer my questions.

Room advertised as having air conditioning. This did not work but there was a very noisy fan. Windows would not stay up so staff member responded and came with something to prop the window open. Automatic tap in bathroom kept turning off before I was finished and the water temperature readjusted automatically. Really difficult to get cold water.

Could not fault our stay here. Warm welcome at reception, lovely room (which was spotless, comfortable and had everything we needed in it) excellent food and generally a nice atmosphere around the hotel. All the staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel really at home. The location was good too. Situated adjacent to Wallington Green on a bus route and 10 minutes walk from the station for getting into and out of London. Would thoroughly recommend The Duke's Head Hotel.

very help full, good breast

We arrived back at 11.05 pm after helping clear up at a wedding. We were told by the bar that even though we were residents they could not serve us. After a discussion we both got a well earned drink following the clear up at the wedding. The ability to rest in a hotel is important. We chose the Dukes Head to to it being down the road from the Holy Trinity Church. Shame as it should be made clear when booking. Other wise, very good, great staff, thanks for our stay

We stayed for 10 nights at a reasonable rate. We were really impressed with the newly refurbished rooms, which is an exceptional space. The beds were very comfy but you have to request to have the sheets changed. The pub is attached to the hotel and easily accessible via a corridor which was handy as we could pop out and get drinks such as water before midnight. The bathroom is new, and some rooms have shower only so please request this upon booking. The location is absolutely great with local supermarkets nearby and corner shops is approximately three minutes walk. There is also a lovely launderette opposite the property really handy if you need to wash clothes.
