Best Western Corona Hotel

The staff were wonderful - alex this morning - I had a medical issue- he was very helpful and understanding - he should get a raise and be employee of the month!! I was so impressed that nothing was too much for him- along with little alexa I was grateful for the fan

The window at 3am! When everyone seemed to empty their bins - it woke me up

I travelled with my two daughters (12 & 15). we were in room 408, top floor. Room and bathroom was clean, both could have been a little bigger though :). Beds were comfy but soft and little small. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Continental as well as English breakfast.

I reserved a room with three single beds, unfortunately this was not available anymore. Ended up with a double bed plus a single bed.

The view from the bedside window was of the properties across the road that were the traditional buildings that were in place for many years. It was nice to be able to see it, Also, everyone is busy with their lives and so there were no peeping toms so you could leave your curtains open when you slept. Balcony was pretty but not accessible due to health and safety reasons. With regards to breakfast, we had to check out very early so we didn't get a chance to experience the breakfast as it was at 7:30 am but we will try it next time. The lady who checked us in was called Helen and she was brilliant and upgraded us as she realised I was with my mother and provided a larger room with separate beds.

The location is great and gives a strong sense of safety. The room is basic but comfortable. Although it might not offer a spacious layout, it aligns with the typical standard for accommodations in London and at that price point. Pimlico station is conveniently situated just a 5-minute walk away, making it easy to access major attractions. If you like to walk, attractions like Hyde Park and Westminster Abbey can also be accessed on foot. Additionally, there is a bus stop located just 2 minutes away from the hotel, providing excellent connectivity to various destinations. While the Best Western Corona does not have its own restaurant, there are numerous dining options available in the vicinity, including pubs. Furthermore, if you plan on traveling by coach or need to catch a train to Gatwick Airport, Victoria station is a convenient 10-minute walk away. I personally found the hotel to be quiet, allowing for a restful night's sleep

There weren't many significant issues to note, although it could be considered a bit pricey considering the amenities provided. However, it's important to keep in mind that this is central London, where prices tend to be higher. One minor inconvenience was the absence of body lotion, which I expected to be a basic amenity, but unfortunately, they had run out of it during my stay.

Good full English breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. There is a lift. The room was small and very warm, but an open window and an electric fan kept it bearable. The bathroom is small but with a good sized shower (good water pressure), so not much room for a sink - somebody with broad shoulders would find it a bit tight when shaving. No shortage of towels. The location is great, just down the road from Belgravia, Buckingham Palace and so on. I guess I would stay here again when I'm in this neck of the woods.

Sadly I wasn't able to get a cab on Sunday morning to get away so I had a 25 minute walk to Sloane Square.

Lovely little hotel very friendly staff. Clean room and bathroom. Kettle, tea and coffee provided as well as a hair dryer and a fan which proved useful as no air conditioning.

My room was just for me, I was surprised to see just a single bed, but it was absolutely fine for a couple of nights. The bathroom was tiny 😊 the location was quite away from kings cross station. Ok if you are fit and able to walk as you could do kings cross underground to Victoria underground and then walk about 15 minutes.

The room war pretty small, but considering the size, the furniture was arranged pretty cleverly. There was everything we needed on little space! Our room was ground floor, but faced towards a little yard and was not accessible to others. The shower had a very nice water pressure!

The bed was slightly declining towards the righthand-side. Maybe the floor was uneven or the bed itself... The housekeeping once removed the little guest soap bar, which we had used for only two days. That was unnecessary and waste of resources!

Location was perfect. It was very close to bus and metro stations. Breakfast was not very rich but good enough; delicious and various alternatives available. Room and the hotel was clean and the staff was kind and helpful. Free taxi arranged by booking.com from the airport to the hotel was a perfect service. It was the first time we were in London therefore to be met by a driver at the airport was a great experience for us.

The room was very small. It is only good for short vacations.

I liked every member of staff that was working during my visit, they all were very helpful and friendly and always smiled when I was in & out of the hotel and answered all of my questions very professionally. And the guy who helped with our luggage on our last day was very professional of bringing our heavy luggage to our pick up car. I would come again.

On the very first night we checked in after 7pm, when we got to the room there was no toilet rolls and had to phone the reception and one of the rooms light wasn't working which was on the top ceiling next to the window, right on top of the single bed. Also there was a time the elevator lights weren't working and there was an red glow stick inside the elevator which didn't really bright up the elevator and was dark especially for my wife and child and later on the day they did get the elevator lights fixed.

Don't expect huge rooms this hotel is located in a period property, our room was compact for 3 people, with a double and single bed with not much space to move around, although the room was compact we only used the room to sleep in as we were out in London City all day so it turned out to be just grand and we only stayed 2 nights so we didn't have much luggage. The bathroom had enough towels for the 3 of us and had the usual wash supplies. Our check in was very late as our flight had a delay too but the lad at reception checking us in was lovely and was so nice he helped us order pizza delivery to our room, his customer service skills were fabulous and he is a credit to the hotel chain. All interactions with staff at this hotel were the same friendly and professional. There was a portable fan supplied in the room which was perfect as we were in London during the mini heatwave.
