Holiday Inn Express London Victoria, an IHG Hotel

There were many things to like - excellent desk staff helpful with information and printing maps - and the excellent Rima managing the generous breakfast . The location is an easy walk to Pimlico station and buses , and convenient enough to Victoria rail and coach stations. There are cafes, restaurants , pubs all close by plus a convenience store. The street is attractive and surprisingly quiet at night - much appreciated because the window needed to be open because of the heat . No a/c ( but being installed) but a wall fan ( much needed) . The room is best described as "cosy" but features a kettle and tea supplies and cool drinks were offered. The bathroom compact but well supplied and the cleaning staff v good. A very comfortable bed , with extra pillows, reading lights , good TV. Effective block-out curtains.

The room was a bit squishy - no room to move . No a/c but I suppose not normally needed in Uk- it was just a hot week. The window had to be propped open as it would slide down . A slow lift operating to the rooms. All fairly minor complaints when staff and location were excellent.

A basic breakfast was supplied and the lady that runs the breakfast room was amazing. The air conditioning in the rooms on level 4 was great during the summer. Apparently it’s not on all levels. Located a 5 minute walk to Pimlico underground and about a 12 minute walk to Victoria underground and trains. Buses are also very close. Restaurants and a laundromat are also near by. If you don’t mind walking you can walk to Buckingham Palace and the Tate Museum easily from the hotel.

The room was small for two people with suitcases and backpacks. Not even a chair to sit on, no fridge in the room and no wardrobe or drawers to unpack into. This is not the place to spend more than a day or two in.

The hotel was in a quiet, pleasant location. In close proximity to several cafes, restaurants, pubs and other shops to browse. It was probably a 10 minute walk from Victoria Station. But for a senior with luggage about 15 minutes. The room was lovely. A reasonable size with a comfortable bed. It appeared recently renovated with modern decor. Tea and coffee making facilities were available in the room. Great shower and bathroom. Loved that it had a window that partially opened. Great to get fresh air in a hotel room. Didn’t get to the breakfast room, but read other’s positive reviews. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely book there again

We stayed at the holiday Inn for 2 nights and had a fantastic stay. The staff are so welcoming, friendly & very helpful they went above & beyond during our stay. Lovely clean room with an excellent view of the London Eye from our window, great facilities & a very comfy bed. Great nights sleep with no noise from the road outside, nice warm room & a lovely hot shower. They offer a fantastic breakfast with loads to choose from, a great variety to cater to everybody. Again, at breakfast, the staff can't do enough for you, even offering you takeaway drinks for your busy day ahead. The hotel is in a great location with some lovely pubs & a nice Italian restaurant in walking distance. Easy to get a taxi or the tube to see the main attractions, e.g, London Eye, Buckingham Palace. We would definitely stay at the Holiday Inn Victoria again & would highly recommend this hotel to friends & family.

We really loved our stay. No complaints everything was perfect for us. Staff are all absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel.

Very friendly welcome. Great location - attractive road, quiet area although near enough to restaurants, bars, local shops. Ideal location for the Apollo Victoria theatre, 10-15 minutes walk with a very good Italian restaurant opposite, need to book! The hotel went to special lengths to make sure my friend and I had a separate bed even though no twin rooms were available. The hotel’s breakfast, included in the price, was a buffet of everything you would need including a small hot selection, croissants, yoghurts and fruit. Can’t praise the room service enough; I lost the catch on my necklace as it broke. After a day out we came back to our room and there was the tiny catch on the side. The maid must have spotted it and took the care to make it obvious for me to find.

The hotel was very clean and our room was large and comfortable. The facilities were excellent and all the staff we met were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was very cold on arrival with the radiators turned off and the window open. Rosella on reception sorted this out straightaway and offered us a complimentary drink from the bar. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast, there was a lot of choice with good quality food. Rima from the kitchen looked after us and she was so helpful and friendly! We chose this hotel mainly because of the location as it is easy to reach from Victoria coach station and within walking distance of the US Embassy where we were visiting. Good value for money for just an overnight stay.

The only thing we could fault was the carpet in our room, it was very stained and worn and definitely needed replacing

Property was within walking distance to Victoria Station. Bus stop out the front. Breakfast was good with a small selection of hot foods and plenty of cereal, coffee, toast etc.

We booked the accessible room but there was someone else in there on the first night so we were placed in a room in on the lower ground level that didn’t suit our needs as the bathroom was not accessible for my husband. The room leaked too which was not good. The other problem was that we had to put a ramp in and out each time we wanted to access the hotel which was a bit hard. In the accessible room the bathroom flooded each time we had a shower.

Staff couldn't do enough for you. Room change which they done straight away. Girl that checked us in changed our room also gave us advice on travelling even printed a map and highlighted directions the service she gave was excellent. Have an option to have take away cup so you can take coffee or tea out after breakfast .and a paper bag for an muffin or fruit etc too take out also . Location good tube close by.area quiet no busy like other places and coach station walking 15mins or taxi £7

The first room we were given window view was horrendous backing onto other houses where you can see clothes hanging in there windows etc np privacy at all.room was so dark .had a room change straight away however the room was tiny had to walk side ways to get into bed .TV wasn't in line with teg bed it was far to the right .someone with disability issues this room isn't safe. Beds very uncomfortable like sleeping on a brick .

The staff were extremely helpful and very polite. We had a small amount of difficulty accessing the hotel with a wheelchair but overcame that. The room was very good but didn't have air-conditioning, although the staff provided us with an electric fan. The area was perfect, easy access to buses, trains and taxis.

There was no air conditioning. Some of the decor was tired but they will be upgrading soon, including air-conditioning.

The hotel is situated at a great location, pubs and dining nearby, 5/10 min walk. If you'd like to see Buckingham palace, it is only a 10/15min walk. Underground Pimlico is less then 5mins away, just take the Victoria line and it will bring you to all the great places in Londen. Underground Victoria is a 15/20min walk. Friendly staff, they were all helpful if you had a question. Breakfast ok, just missed some charcuterie (cheese, ham, ...)

If I have to say something, I'd say the bed for myself. I'm not used to sleep on a hard matrass. (my mom had no problem with the matrass, she's used to it) Rooms are small but nice. (people who want to stay in there rooms for a while during the day, this wouldn't be a good room but hey, if you want to stay in your room you shouldn't go to London :-).)
