Victoria Inn London

Warm welcome on arrival and from all the staff we encountered. Location is great. It’s convenient to train, tube, and bus connections. There’s restaurants and bars nearby. Grocery down the street. The street itself is pretty quiet. You may hear some passing cars at night if your room is street-facing, but it certainly didn’t bother me. The rooms are small but not the smallest I’ve ever stayed in. Shower works great and is surprisingly ample in size relative to the room and bathroom. The hotel is housed in an old converted building. The walls are thinner. The floors can creak a bit. It’s charming in many ways. It’s not a luxury resort. You’re looking here because it fits your budget, and it’s fine!

AC doesn’t work too great - it wasn’t too hot in the room so I didn’t mention this to the front desk. The walls are thin, and the doors to rooms are not equipped with kind of soft-close mechanism so you’re at the mercy of every one else staying at the hotel to behave as though they aren’t alone on the planet and not stomp around at 2am slamming doors. Not the hotel’s fault at all, really, and I had earplugs. The cleaner or deodorizer they spray in the lobby is a bit overbearing, off-putting, and irritating - everything smells chemically clean at least! If you catch it right after a spray, just be prepared to sneeze and cough a bit. I’m also not sure if any type of breakfast is offered. I was never told, but I also didn’t ask. Not sure I needed it anyway.

The location was good, and the underground was only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They had good local knowledge and provided all the information to our questions about restaurants and travelling around London. The staff also provided us with extra pillows when we asked for them late in the night. The beds were very comfortable and clean. Overall, the room was clean and adequate for our short stay.

The bathroom needed updating. The toilet seat was ill fitted and needed adjusting. The shower tray and walls had some mould. The shelf above the sink was too large, and it was difficult to use the sink without knocking our heads on it. The liquid soap provided in the bathroom had no fragrance. The containers were not cleaned, and they were old. The tea and coffee sachets were not replenished, and we had to request for more as there was not enough for both of us, and there were no spoons provided.

Just what I needed for a one-night stay in London for work. I like to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room which this had. The room was small, but not unusual for London and adequate for me travelling on my own. The TV was good quality and the bed clean and comfortable.

Not really the hotel's fault, but I was woken in the middle of the night by crashing and banging from the room above as the occupants returned drunk. Shame as I was working the next day and would have appreciated an uninterrupted night. The bathroom was nice, but the shelf above the sink wasn't fitted correctly so at one point all of my toiletries ended up on the floor. The shower was spacious and clean, but the water pressure very low so a very unpleasing shower.

Great location, only 10 minutes walk from Victoria Station. The staff were always welcoming, friendly and polite, even when I was in and out constantly after spending time with friends. The room was small as to be expected but was perfect for me as I was travelling on my own. If you are a remote worker, their wi-fi holds up really well and allowed me to work from my room. looking forward to booking here again.

There was quite a significant leak on the mezzanine between the 2nd and 3rd floor, luckily not impacting any of the rooms. Staff were brilliant and had it fixed and cleaned away by the time I got back a couple of hours later.

Really great location , the room was small but comfortable and perfect for a city break. Really surprised at how comfy the beds were and the hotel was quiet on and evening. I thought the staff were really polite and helpful, I would definitely stay again.

The location was great. Quiet , clean, safe road near to the underground. Handy grocery shop and bars and cafes nearby. Staff very friendly and very helpful. Room was clean (apart from the fan which was dealt with). Comfortable bed and a great nights sleep. Good hot water and shower. Air con was a welcome addition as it was very warm when we stayed. We had small balcony from which we could watch the world go by.

Room was quite small but fine for an overnight. We would have happily stayed long if we needed to.

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff + convenient vicinity to Victoria transportation hub (coach, train, tube) and relating shopping and eating choices around Victoria train station. Room had all basic conveniences, which is fine if you know what you are looking for in advance.

The room (chosen via site by myself) was located at the lower ground level and it had no window, so I clearly felt the lack of fresh air in the room. On top, the room was quickly overheated, so the balance of room temperature/fresh air access was the main inconvenience for me.

We stayed at a room without a window which is located on the lower ground. The room was very cosy and clean. The staff were very helpful as well. The location of the property is amazing! You can get to Pimlico (5 mins), Victoria Underground/Railway/Coach Station (10 mins). It’s also such a central location that a lot of the landmarks are very close (reachable by foot).

There was a tiny gap between the floor and our doors. Because the hotel reception is opened 24/7 we got woken up a few times during our first night. But it was nothing a pair of earplugs couldn’t fix :)

Booked last minute in London, the standout service wasn't the affordable price or convenient central London location, but the warmth and friendliness of the reception desk staff. Mohammed was a lovely gentleman, who helped me through the stress of booking a room last minute. Not only was he very cordial and helpful, he also went the extra mile by letting me heat-up my takeaway food, providing cutlery and coming to check the room for some heating and remote issues I mentioned. Overall Mohammed helped me settle in and feel at ease, as to what was an unexpected last minute stay.

Friendly welcome on arrival. Room spotless , decor beautiful and comfortable bed. Shower amazing. Tea and coffee facilities in room with additional supplies if needed. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff at the hotel, all went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasurable one. Huge thanks to Parsa on reception who is a mega asset to the company, as well as the other staff. We even extended our stay by an extra night as we enjoyed it so much. Keep up the good work, we will be returning in the future.

Could start to do breakfast again. Maybe me being picky.
