Super location near the subway station, walking distance to Victoria station. Very kind and helpful staff who offered us a free room upgrade, even though they didn't have to. Basic, but clean and fully sufficient conditions for a stay in London, focused not on staying at a hotel, but exploring London. The teapot was a nice extra touch. Accommodation in London is generally expensive. Under these circumstances, the price-quality ratio for this hotel is excellent!

No complaints. This is a budget hotel, so everything was great in this category.

the staff were so helpful and friendly! the location was literally 2 blocks from the Pimlico underground, with plenty of buses. you could also walk to the Westminster area in 15 min. lots of good restaurants nearby, as well as coffee shops and grocery stores. the rooms were tiny, and the bathrooms microscopic, but not there for the luxury. it was quiet and clean, and adequate. The breakfast was as advertised: instant coffee or tea, yogurt and cereal, toast and jam, ham and cheese. not my usual but again it was adequate to get us going. One or two mornings we went out for a hot breakfast instead but it was nice to have this available. the shower although tiny, was powerful and quite hot!

the pillows and bed were really much harder than I prefer, personally. I would love a mini fridge to store leftovers or small convenience items.

The staff were excellent and appeared happy all the time. The location was great for what we needed, and the tube was only 5 minutes around the corner and most places we visited only needed one change of train. We would stay there again if on a 1 or 2 night visit to London.

The room was fairly comfortable but a little bit smaller than we would have liked, taking into account that we were there for 4 nights. It was also very warm in the room and we slept with the window open and a fan on all night, it was very hot in London when we visited, but the room held the heat. There were improvements being made to the hotel as well, which weren't disruptive. That said we would still visit again, would like to see what improvements have been made.

Blades was located perfectly to navigate through Westminster and surrounding areas. The staff was absolutely lovely, allowing me to store my luggage and offered many great tips to settle into London.

This property was truly perfect as a solo traveler, but those hoping for a larger room will be disappointed. Be prepared for stairs and pack your luggage accordingly. For me this was perfectly fine, but I can see how some may struggle to lug cases up flights of stairs.

My partner and I were in London for about 12 hours on an overnight layover - I had never been so we walked/tubed the entirety of Westminster from this location, which worked out great. I saw ALL the major sites in the span of a few hours. We were upgraded from a double to a triple room and it was beneficial to have the extra space for all our luggage. The bathroom was tiny but functional. We had everything we needed for our short stay.

The hotel has a very nice Victorian charm to it, the location is wonderful, very close to the train station and walking distance from a lot of hot spots. The Staff was extremely friendly and we would definitely recommend this to someone looking for a good affordable place but with location as top priority.

No complaints really, the Staff was very accommodating to all requests, the room was not the cleanest but I guess that comes with the Victorian theme they have tried to create.

The staff was really nice and the location was central and safe. The beds and the bathrooms were clean and comfortable, even if they were really small.

There was no in-room storage like a dresser or closet, so be prepared to have your suitcases out and open a lot. There is also no food heating or cooling system for the building, do all meals need to be shelf stable or eaten out.

Excellent location - near Pimlico tube station and easy walking distance to Victoria station, Westminster, Buckingham Palace, and Parliament. Great Victorian neighborhood, insulated from tourist hustle and bustle with several little pubs and bakeries nearby (Gail’s Bakery is not to be missed). Staff very friendly and helpful.

Water pressure on upper floors wasn’t great. There is no lift, which was fine for us, but just be aware.

Great location if you want to travel to London. Near of the Underground station and also far enough away from the city rush. We had a great time there, you can relax in the room because it's quite silent there. The receptionist was such a nice lady and gave us also some advices where to go for breakfast and some lovely places to visit. We appreciate that a lot.

To be honest nothing

Staff (Kay) welcoming, friendy & helpful. Room clean. Better than expected. Touch operated lamps, decent double bed, this room had a balcony. Location is useful for within both 15 minutes of Victoria & river Thames by foot (walking).

Bathroom was on the small side, might be challenging for not fit/able-bodied. Blades no longer do a breakfast - I thought continental was included.
