I loved everything about Locke, but what i recall best is the LOCATION. Two different tube stations are blocks away. You're very near St Paul's Cathedral. A short walk along the Thames gets you to the Millenium Bridge that gets you to the south side of the river. I rented a 'micro studio', and the size was just right. I was thrilled at the kitchen facilities. The mini kitchen was state of the art, and so comprehensive that i seldom dined out. The kitchen alone saved me a lot of $$. The free laundry was state of the art. I don't know how old the Locke is, but it seemed brand new. The bathroom was sleek, and water pressure was very good. The cost worked out to a great price for a near-luxury stay. I would happily book at the Locke again.

In fall of 2022, the construction noise (jackhammers, hydraulics) was pretty unbearable. It's the price we pay for progress-- even the Locke is new! I found a closeup view of building construction kind of interesting. The noise carried on from about 8:30am-6pm, and was silent on Sundays. Thankfully i was out most days. I'll try the Locke again post-big-waterfront-change. ALSO, the mattress wasn't blissful. It wasn't bad, but this fussy Goldilocks found it kind of lumpy? I hope the Locke has brand new mattresses when I return.

Room initially was not great - I had asked for a river view and yes it was just a river view between two buildings and overlooking a construction site. I asked reception if there was any chance of a different room away from the construction site and they moved us to a much better and lighter room on the north side of the hotel, which was really lovely. Kitchenette was great - instructions on use from the QR code and fast broadband wifi. Staff were really great and helpful.

The original room was not great - but that was sorted out. Struggling to think of anything actually that we didn't like - that should tell you something.

lovely vibe, very calm. Delighted to be upgraded to a Riverside room which was amazing. The room was faultless apart from a squeaky bathroom door which I reported on checkout as it didn’t bother me. Would definitely stay there again.

The cost however this is only in line with every other hotel in central London.

The location is amazing and if you're lucky you have a view directly onto the Thames and the Globe/Millennium Bridge - my tip: Try to get a room with a view if you can. My room was clean and modern (which is exactly what I wanted and why I chose this location). I enjoyed the decorative touches and the small kitchen is perfect for somebody who doesn't want to eat out every day and people who are planning for a slightly longer stay. The bed was firm and the sheets were clean and smooth, which made for a few nights of great sleep. And finally, the bathroom was clean and had enough soaps etc.

Almost nothing to improve. The shower door was a bit weird and would make a cracking sound in a certain position, but that wasn't such a huge deal and didn't impact the "showering experience." :)

Location was central to all tourist attractions being right at Millenium Bridge. The view of the river was excellent. Lovely restaurant on the ground floor with outside seating. Good coffee available all day. Bathroom was very modern and the shower was great. The room was very quiet and the building renovations next door couldn't be heard at all. They should be finished very soon so it shouldn't be a consideration for visitors in the future.

The apartment was described as a micro studio but it was difficult to move around with two people in there. Some of the light switches were confusing and one bedside light wasn't working. Service at the restaurant was a bit slow when it gets busy in the early evenings.

Super well designed, had everything I needed and felt like home. Location was perfect and convenient, and the staff were so lovely. The co-working space was also very convenient, and Shaman has great coffee. Would absolutely recommend for a trip of work and play. I’d say I’ll be back but I’m hoping the next time I’m back it’s because I’m moving to the city!!

This is more a comment to stop people staying and complaining about the construction. There is construction next door, but it didn’t really bother me. I found the windows and curtain pretty well sound proofed. Might be an issue if you’re wanting a sleep in in the middle of the day and you’re a light sleeper. I’d read up and knew it was likely to still be going, so wasn’t surprised or bothered, and they give you some earplugs in case.

Location was fabulous, right on the river and close to two underground stations. I went to sleep every night to the sound of the river lapping outside, bliss. The Tate and the Globe were across the river. Gorgeous night lights, especially The Shard. Very handy laundry facilities in the basement and cool chill out zones throughout.

Initially I was in a room that faced a building site which was very noisy, very early. Thankfully that was only for one night of my ten night stay. Coffee shop and restaurant weren't always open.

Location was amazing, right next to the river Thames! We had a river view room that looked right onto Tate Modern and the Millennium Bridge, great view! The room was super stylish and had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Loved the bathroom and the custom soaps and scents that are unique to each Locke hotel! Breakfast is not included but we tried the coffee and pastries from the cafe one day and they were great too!

Not a criticism but because of covid there is no room cleaning service at the moment. You need to request clean towels and sheets from the reception when you need it.

I stayed in a Micro Studio overnight and it was exactly what I needed - a compact, clean, thoughtfully designed space with a little kitchenette (with a good selection of tea/coffee and nice products in the bathroom plus yoga mat). I did a few work calls in the room and the WIFI was really stable. I've stayed at Locke properties before and like the concept - the coffee shop and restaurant downstairs looked really nice, loads of activities if you have time and the location is excellent - right by Mansion House tube (5-10 mins, pulling a big suitcase was manageable) and directly opposite the Tate Modern on the river.

The shampoo in the bathroom was jammed - minor issue. This has happened before in previous Locke properties so one for the cleaners to check as a standard part of their tasks.

The location was just perfect. We had the view to the Thames river (even though not a perfect panoramic view). It was literally 1 minute walking distance from the Millennium bridge, and a few minutes from the St. Paul's Cathedral and several other tourist places, including the London Tower. The hotel was also very clean with a very good vibe.

There is a big construction project happening just next to this hotel which starts the work from 8AM, and makes it a bit uncomfortable if you want to sleep a bit more in the morning. But, I understand that it is not the fault of the hotel. BTW, there is no activity in that project during the weekend.
