Vintry & Mercer

Rooms are well done, staff is very attentive and considerate, and it nearly has all the amenities a traveler needs. The staff really works hard. The location is excellent for St.Paul’s, London Tower, Borough Market (highly recommend), and a handful of historic pubs. Excellent property in the heart of the City. Craft cocktails and room service are good. Air conditioning also worked well.

Property is great. It can be harder to get a taxi compared to some of the other luxury hotels like the Langham/Rosewood/Savoy in Covent Garden/Camden/Highborne. However, the Westin across the street, I had a similar issue. Easy to get an Uber and the Tube is a couple blocks away. It definitely is a nice boutique hotel but it’s going to be a different experience than the larger 5*s.

Very friendly staff at door, front desk and on rooftop terrace bar. Room felt brand new and was spotlessly clean with plenty of amenities. The bed was big and comfortable, and the shower was excellent. Big TV, high tech lighting and underfloor heating system for bathroom. good temperature in room too. The roof terrace was beautiful with very nice cocktails! Location is tucked down a lane near Mansion House tube, 5 min stroll to the river or to cafes.

A couple of things that perhaps you’d expect from a 5* hotel but these are VERY small and we didn’t feel were worth bringing up - as we only stayed for one night. The Bluetooth on the Marshall in room speaker didn’t want to work, and there was only UHT milk even though there was a mini bar fridge. The front desk asked us if there was an occasion for our stay (it was our anniversary) and we were told there would be some free champagne for us. Lovely gesture, but it didn’t materialise, and we didn’t want to ask because it was something offered for free. Perhaps we were expected to ask for it at the bar but that would have felt a bit awkward. Perhaps don’t make that gesture if it isn’t going to be followed through?

This is honestly the most beautiful hotel, with the most incredible staff members who went above and beyond to make our stay extra special, amazingly beautiful clean spacious rooms, I've never seen a hotel room like it! The decor was so pretty and well put together! With great amenities and such DREAMY showers! (nearly made us late for a reservation because I didn't want to get out of it) You also CANNOT miss out on experiencing the Do Not Disturb bar! Which has the best unique drinks with a cozy 1920's vibe! We felt as if we were in a film due to the furnishing, it was brilliant. Again, the bar staff members were so lovely. I would 100% highly recommend this hotel if you were to stay in London. The location is great, tube station is a 1 minute walk away.. with lovely food places all around and the area itself is very nice to take a walk and see the city. We honestly had such an incredible stay-cation all thanks to this lovely gem of a hotel. So thank you very much Vintry & Mercer, we will be back.. very soon and we cannot wait!

I had a wonderful stay at Vintry and Mercer. The room was both immaculately clean and comfortable. A few unexpected high points for me were the rain shower and the little electronic buttons that control everything in the room. (I confess that I'm a nerd for that kind of thing.) I also appreciated that they don't charge for the soft drinks and water in the minibar. The service was also outstanding. I asked for a bucket of ice to be sent up twice, and both times it arrived very quickly. Housekeeping was done in a timely way, and the reception staff were outstanding. The standard room was admittedly small, but this is London and I didn't expect anything huge. The location (very close to St. Paul's Cathedral and the Tube) was excellent. I would absolutely stay here again.

The room service continental breakfast wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either.

the rooms are on the small side but still beautiful and comfortable. in the breakfast room it was always very cold. it would have been great to be able to eat breakfast on the terrace as well as the other room has no daylight at all

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, all of the staff were brilliant from start to finish. It was a special occasion and they did some little extras without being asked. The room was a great size for us two, and the bathroom lovely. We went to the bar our first night and the staff were great, really good atmosphere, I ordered a drink not on the menu, no trouble. The location is spot on, 100 yards to mansion House tube with St pauls a few more minutes walk further. Will definitely stay here again and reccomend to anyone!

Lovely decor and interiors, attention to detail in the room, luxurious feel for a great price. nice eating spaces and good location to the river and city.

We had an awful experience stuck in the lift for 1 hour early hours in the morning where the London Fire Brigade were called and the night staff handled it very badly, laughed when we got out of the lift and didn’t apologise or offer any reassurance. Felt like we should have received some compensation for this.

Staff was nice and always helpful, especially Alexander, who helped us with our luggage, gave us great recommendations for things to do in London, and organised our taxi to the airport. We had our room upgraded, and the space and decor were better than expected, including complimentary drinks and comfortable beds. The location was great, next to the underground station but in a quiet lane. We could walk to the Borough Markerts, St Paul's Cathedral, London Tower Bridge, etc. The rooftop bar had a great view and nice food.

We honestly had a great experience. The only detail would be that the vegetarian breakfast we ordered to our room was not great. The ingredients didn't feel of the best quality. This feels like something that could be easily improved. Otherwise, it is truly a 5-star hotel.

The hotel service was perfect, very attentive, and very professional, but with personality. Immaculate room standards, spotless with beautiful views and well topped up with everything we needed, no noise from the roads or other hotel guests, and the bed was very pleasant to sleep in. The breakfast was lovely and reasonably priced for the quality of the food. The luggage storage after the generous 12pm check out was helpful as we could still squeeze in some sightseeing.

The rooftop terrace drinks were very nice. However, it was a little overpriced. The service was extremely bland with barely a smile.

Special Thanks to Dimitri and young man at the check in! we were given a upgraded room with shard view for my birthday/anniversary celebrations, greatly appreciate that. The décor here is fantastic - the whole feel of the hotel is both stylish and modern but with lots of traditional features. We cannot fault any aspect of the hotel, but most importantly would draw attention to the service-everyone, without exception was friendly, helpful, going the extra mile and making sure we had everything we needed without a single moment of being over-attentive. We will be back!
