Club Quarters Hotel St Paul's, London

Great location - just across St. Paul. Room was decent size and with a bit of a view of St. Paul. Hotel is also located near metro and bus stop is just infront. There's also free coffee in the lobby.

I think they should change the floor and remove carpeting. Other than that, the hotel is great!

Excellent location only a short distance from the tube and walking distance to major attractions including Tate Modern, Borough Market. It takes 45-60 min to get here from the airport if you take the tube the entire way. We had one of the cheapest rooms, which was small and basic but had almost everything we needed - although it would have been nice to have a fridge (available along with a microwave/stove if you get an apartment-style room). Favorite amenities include refillable bottled water stations by the elevators and a lounge with a tea/coffee station downstairs. You don't need to buy breakfast with your room because there are so many nearby options - including M&S food (grocery) and several bakeries. The Cote restaurant attached to the hotel also has an excellent prix fixe menu for lunch/dinner. I have stayed here in the past and had some issues with noise levels from neighbors as well as the mornings bells from St Paul's. We did not have that issue this time around.

The best thing about the hotel was the location (close to the center, metro and buses, restaurants, etc). The room was very spacious and tidy, the beds very comfortable, with functioning air conditioning and the bathroom adequate. The lounge hall was equipped with coffee, water and various amenities such as WiFi and battery chargers. Free bottles and water taps were available throughout the hotel. The gym was adequate. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful.

The biggest disappointment was the "good breakfast". To be honest this was actually a big scam because for 18 Euro you could only use the "Continental breakfast". This consisted of a bit of bread and a slice of ham, very bad coffee and sometimes an apple or some fruit. Only with extra payment you could order eggs, bacon and sausages. Not only did this feel like cheating, the service was very bad and customer unfriendly and the food tables were also constantly empty. Take my advice: DO NOT book breakfast at this hotel!! Across the street from the hotel is "Cafe Rouge" where you can enjoy a delicious, extensive English breakfast for less than 10 pounds with very friendly service. If only I had known...

Everything was as expected, we will return to stay here again, it was an ideal location and met our requirements.

We booked 3 rooms for 2 nights. One of the rooms was extremely cold and although heaters were provided it wasn't good for the people staying in that room. We were offered another room the next night however it wasn't worth the effort to do so as it was late when we received this information. My colleagues did find previous reviews that highlighted this same problem... I would suggest if your room is cold when you arrive, request for a change immediately. We were provided within complimentary breakfast vouchers which were appreciated.

Room was small for an expensive price, the price is probably reasonable for central London however!

Location, free coffee&tea

Very loud due to close street and cathedral (bells every hour even at night).

Great location, very comfortable and quiet at night. Good toiletries. Water dispensers on all floors with free bottles to refill and take. Cookies and tea/coffee free in the lobby. Really great reception assistance. Pilar is a huge asset to this hotel, she was extremely professional, helpful and always smiling, made us feel very welcome, and she also showed us an excellent transport app which we found the best! The hotel is walking distance from the Liverpool train station as well as centre. Bus stop just in front and one street behind with bus routes more practical and cheaper than tube, which is also very close. St Paul's cathedral just meters away is a must, and it was nice staying right next to it. McDonalds just in front and some in the small square round the corner, perfect for breakfast.

Windows don't open, you need to call someone to do it. Didn't quite understand the price as I was charged much more than booked on booking, and I didn't get a conclusive answer from the hotel, it couldn't be the exchange rate as the difference was quite big. Not the deposit either as it is 250€ and the difference wasn't that high. Seems like the booking genius discount wasn't applied, so it could be a question to booking and not the hotel.

This location was fantastic -- one block from City Thames Link train station and other tube stations. Next door to St Paul's Cathedral; Easy walking to the East to Millennium Bridge, Tate Modern & Globe theatre. Comfortable walking to the West to Courtauld Museum, newly re-opened National Portrait Gallery and Trafalgar Square. Very quiet; Rooms & bed are comfortable for two; Water bottle refill on each floor. For the business traveller very close to Fleet Street; court houses; Law Society, etc. Overall very nice facilities.

Didn't realize that the default is no housekeeping service to room -- need to make daily request. However all staff were great with addressing all of our needs.

The hotel is located in a very central location within walking distance from the Liverpool Train Station, so I literally jumped on a train from the Stansted Airport, then walked to the hotel. Despite its central location it's also very quiet, so I could rest with no interruptions. The staff is incredibly friendly and the amenities in the hotel lobby are delightful, I was able to spend a few hours after my checkout there and get some work done. All in all, a hotel I can gladly return to when in London.

The general / continental breakfast is rather poor for the price charged. The extra meals (eggs etc.) come for a higher price and the menu is not well explained (I ordered two different menues in two days that took me by surprise, as I couldn't eat half of the things served). So, a better explanation of the extra-menu and, honestly, just give people some boiled eggs / scambled eggs as part of the regular menu.

Just got back from what can only be described as a perfect stay here! We arrived at the hotel early as we had been traveling through the night and spoke to a gentleman by the name of Lounes. It has to be said that we have had a lot of weekend breaks in London over the last 18months and I have to be honest, the level of service we received from Lounes has to be the best we have experienced overall! We had travelled through the night and arrived at the hotel earlier than expected and before we knew it we were in our room. The room we stayed in was one of their new rooms, which was stunning! Smart TV, coffee making machine, large shower, super comfy bed, seriously could not ask for more! The location is great, a stone throw from St Paul's, Hop On Hop Off bus picks up right outside the hotel if that's something you like (we didn't go on this and I dont think it has any connection with the hotel.) Literally just got back and already looking to book again for a couple of months time!
