Rockwell East-Tower Bridge

It’s a very lovely place. The facilities are amazing and the staff are nice.

The late check in and early check out time almost makes a one night stay not worth it. I can’t check earlier than 3pm and I can’t check out later than 10am, this gives just a small window of stay for the amount paid. I hope this is reviewed in the future.

Large, spotless room with all facilities plus a very clean modern toilet/shower room. Nice to have a reception team at an apartment booking. Able to leave our cases after checkout while we visited other places. Perfect location for us with our planned visits to tower of london and sky garden. Also very close to 2 tube lines, tower hill and aldgate, the DLR which we needed to visit canary wharf and London docklands museum. Oh? And breakfasts? Directly opposite was a Wetherspoons. Suited us fine for quick, sensible priced food and drink before we went out for the day. Didnt have to pay any "damage " deposit on arrival which was good. Would certainly book again if we wished to be in this area of east London

Bedside lamp didn't work, we did report it but it wasn't sorted, not really a problem as had a reading light, no glasses in cupboard, except for 1 champagne glass and few tiny ones, no use for anything, the lovely man at reception gave us some as wanted to have some for water Only a small amount of loo roll, had to use tissues on last morning, the shower head was not flowing fully, my husband cleared it, We have stayed at Rockwell East before but was a little disappointed this time, which is a shame

Nice apartment, well equipped, really nice space, very clean. If you’re looking for a central location it is difficult to beat, close to transport links.

Check in process was poor, couldn’t get into the building. Needed to be let in through secure door, waited for 10 minutes as receptionist was too busy. No pleasantries during checkin, no smiles, no welcome, no “enjoy your stay”. Really not that difficult!

Very central location by Tower Bridge. Staffed reception to pick up key and leave/collect luggage, very pleasant lady. The room is a small apartment, really imaginative decoration, art etc and well designed kitchen. Great for an over night stay but would also work well for a longer visit.

Right next to a building site, had to keep curtains shut as workmen very close. We used white noise successfully for the sounds of a building site.

Spacious, clean and modern room, staff are friendly and accommodating. I arrived very early in the morning and the staff tried their best to let me check-in earlier. Check-out was easy and straight-forward. The staff on duty, Talat Hussain even helped bring my luggage to the car.

They offer us lots of dinner sets and cups. The room also has a washing machine and it’s quite useful. Besides, tea and coffee is also offered, and taste good. The transportation nearby is convenient, bus and tubes are very near.

There were some train noise, but it’s not too loud.

Room was spacious, clean and the towels were thick and large which was nice. Staff at the front desk very nice and willing to help, they let me sit it the lobby for a couple of hours after check out until I had to catch a train, and informed me about the rail strikes so I could go in and double check the routes I needed. Certainly good value for London considering the size and cleanliness!

Had a couple of issues with the washing machine, door latch was broken, water wouldn't drain out and then I couldn't get the dryer function to work. Was a bit frustrating and meant I couldn't wash as much as I'd like, but the front desk were great and sorted their maintenance man to come and look and fix it 2 times. Not sure how often things get a general check but it might be a good idea to do it regularly as if I was only staying for a couple of nights it would've been an incovenience. I also couldn't get the hobtop to work, so suggest that maybe leaving some instructions on how to work the appliances would be helpful and a time saver. Some basic kitchen things like baking paper for the oven and salt and pepper would've been a nice touch

lovely clean apartment with kitchen / living area and diner , with all the living facilities for the same price as a hotel room! . St Katherine’s Dock with lovely bars and restaurants only a 5 minute walk away next to tower bridge. in the opposite direction was Brick lane and Petticoat Lane with fabulous markets , amazing food , restaurants, Bars about 7 minutes walk .

You need official ID to check in and was informed of this in an email on the day of arrival. I was on a holiday already so had nothing on me . Never have I had to do this before to check in to a hotel in the UK ?? . Had to amend my booking to my husband , but with a bad signal at the time it was stressful.
