The Gate ApartHotel London

It is an exceptional hotel and staff exceeded my expectations. During my first night at the hotel, I realized that A/C was not operating. It was too late for me to change the apartment but I was offered a set of warm blankets instead - that was a good idea to solve the problem temporarily. Next day I was offered an apartment at the top floor and a free breakfast for me and my partner, as a compensation for the inconvenience. Apartments are top class - most of them got fully equiped kitchen, so you will be able to prepare meals yourself if you prefer to. Apartments are even equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine and a pack of eco-friendly washing tablets, powders etc.. What really suprised me is that, they provide top quality cosmetics for your stay. Check ingredients yourself - No SLES, only best quality ingriedients. The only thing that could be better, is a greater choice of breakfast menu. The hotel is located in a Zone 1, so we didn't even travel to the other zones, because most of the main attractions are located in the Zone 1. The hotel is top quality and they really pay attention to the details. The hotel stands out from the other hotels I have ever stayed in. I would definitely visit the hotel again with pleasure.

There was no such thing I didn't like.

Stayed in a superior studio, room design and decoration is lovely, very comfortable bed, lots of space and a perfect kitchenette for your every need. Rooms definitely match the photos and are in quite good condition. Very close to 2 underground stations and bus stops where you can connect to every means of public transport. Bars, cafes, restaurants and mini markets, pharmacies are all in few minutes walk. In a very good neighbourhood and close to Tower of London and Tower bridge on foot. You will definitely enjoy your stay here.

Since stepping into The Gate hotel, there was truly nothing to fault. The stay, the atmosphere and most important the staff that made us feel so comfortable the whole time. I booked this place for my best friends birthday and I was really worried it wasn’t going to match my expectations but it went beyond that. The room was spacious and the best view EVER. The room was so clean and tidy. They had a smart TV which connected to our music via Spotify and this also made the trip better as we could play music whilst getting ready. I stayed in the one bedroom apartment and they had wine glasses, plates bowls and all utensils… we could literally live here. The staff were so friendly and helped us the most throughout our whole stay and I literally cannot find any faults with our trip. The area it is located in is perfect and has many food places around and also good places to order to. The bistro gave complimentary drinks which was a bonus and very kind of them. The staff do not get enough recognition especially Ned, Reneta, Yaro and Seb so we made sure we left a nice thank you present for the team as they made this trip very memorable for us. I hope to see The Gate in November as I have rebooked because the stay was this good!

Convenient location, friendly and helpful staff, lounge access. Good to have washer.dryer in room.

Leaking washing machine, had to move room halfway through stay as they couldn't fix it. Lumpy pillows. Weak shower in the 2nd room on higher floor, also noisy traffic in the higher floor. Limited cutlery.

-The location is great and very walkable to nearby attractions like the Sky Garden, Spitalfields Market, Brick Lane, Shoreditch etc. - The staff were great and responsive to our questions and requests. -There are complimentary hot drinks and juices in the lounge on the 5th floor which was a great bonus. - The facilities were modern and to our liking.

- the Chromecast on the TV did not work with our devices. The technician tried fixing it but it still didn’t work. - the bathroom was not the cleanest when we checked in but not enough to complain about. - the mattress was a bit hard for my liking but may suit others. - while we understood that housekeeping was not done on a daily basis, it would have been great to get details on basic things like how to get rid of garbage on a daily basis, how to get refills of toiletries for a longer stay etc.

Wonderful view (I booked a skyline apartment) of the city, very stylish decor, and the bed/bedding was comfy. The Le Labo toiletries in the bathroom were a nice touch, as well. Super quick walk to the Aldgate East tube station (maybe 3 minutes?) was a huge bonus for me. I was thrilled with the option to connect to the TV via Chromecast. I also appreciated the helpfulness of the front desk (quick check-in and out) and liked that there was cleaning service included after 3 nights. I typically am not a fan of daily cleaning and hotel staff entering the room so often, so the 3-day option was nice.

I loved the oven but had no idea how to use it and had to figure it out trial by error - some basic instruction would have been helpful. Kitchenette sink was really tiny and could have used some paper towels (though I understand that it's an eco-conscious property). No real complaints, however, and would definitely stay again.

A really good hotel located on the east side of the city center of London, near the u station. 15 minutes away from the bottom, away from the noise of the city center and around a lot of restaurants and supermarkets. The room had a kitchenette with an oven, kettle, coffee machine and tableware for a couple. The bed is very comfortable, the room is clean and decorated, the hotel has a lounge on the 5th floor with tea and coffee and soft drinks throughout the day. The staff is kind. Recommended hotel

You have to understand that it is half an hour's walk from the center or fifteen minutes by subway. For us it was excellent and far from the hustle and bustle in the city center

The location is great near an underground station and has multiple supermarkets, restaurants and facilities nearby. The staff is really amazing and were always there with anything we needed day or night. the rooms were spacious and had great insulation and a good AC and shower

The lobby is more of a bar area and the check in time is only at 3pm. I arrived at the morning and had to wait which was fine and they had a lounge for me to sit in a clean bathrooms to use. however,when the check in time arrived the lobby was filled with people trying to check in all at once which was annoying after a long travel day even with the online check in you have to wait to get your keys and bag in case you had it stored. The bed was not my favorite and slightly uncomfortable. The cleaning days were not always followed and you may have to remind them to clean your room

This ApartHotel is set in Tower Hamlets not far from Aldgate East underground station. It is cheek by jowl to The City of London. The hotel is staffed by pleasant, responsible people who take ownership of problems and provide advice. The nature of the hotel is that of self-sufficiency with some support and it is up to the guest to have a sense of adventure. There is a welcoming coffee lounge with entertainment once a week. As for the rest of the time London beckons with all its diversity. The rooms are well appointed; a home from home, with a comfortable bed, a lounge and kitchen and en suite bathroom.

There is nothing not to like. This hotel is worth the money I spent and it is a hotel I would return to.

property is in a great location, quite central and with good links to everything. I was kindly upgraded to a 1 bedroom apartment which had a little living room next to the bedroom. it was nice and cozy. bathroom is great and the toiletries smell amazing. there is a lounge on the 5th floor with sofas , terrace and complimentary coffee. staff were extremely lovely and attentive from beginning to end. there’s a cool organic store opposite where you could get a discount if you stay at the property, which was amazing. definitely recommend.
