The location is great, right beside multiple tube stations in central east London. The room is interesting with the foldout bed/bathroom unit - not to everyone's tastes but adds character to the room.

Some of the furnishings were a bit odd, the wooden 'easel' mirror was strange and honestly took up a bit too much room for just a mirror. A chair or something else might have made more sense. There was also a quite chunky light fixture attached to the end of the bed which is a strange place to put it - these are minor things! The toilet is also squished in between the sink and the shower, which may not work for everyone.

The rooms are quirky, quiet and pretty comfortable. The bar area is a really nice place for pre drinks or food and I thought the staff were all really caring and attentive in their work.

Buffet Breakfast was chaos when we went down for it. I can't stress enough how hard the staff were trying to help everyone and refresh the pots but there just weren't enough people there to do it all. I felt bad for them to be honest...and hungry!

The location allowed us to catch multiple trains and buses to access the city. Whitechapel station- Elizabeth line gets you to and from the airport in alittle under an hour. Brick lane is nearby and exceptional for cheap eating options and street art. The 1 free drink tickets for not having housekeeping clean the room were also cool. Rain shower and bathroom space was a nice touch. Also, there is free coffee if you use the coffee machines in the hall. Wifi was exceptional

The TV in one of the rooms was faulty- it eventually got fixed 2 days before we left, the air conditioning in my room took 1 or 2 hours to fully cool down the room but it won't go below 20 degrees celsius- so if you'd like the room cold...avoid the summer, and there is one USB slot per person. I recommend bringing a Type G plug adapter or European plug with enough USB ports to charge all your devices.

This is our second time staying as a company and it was perfect for our work trip.

I had reached out via email and phone to speak to someone about my reservation before our stay and only received a reply on my first email which did not give me an answer to my question. I then emailed a few times trying to get an answer with no luck so I called, and the person on the phone told me I needed to email - but no one emailed me back. This was frustrating. I spoke also to Booking.com who confirmed that I needed to speak directly with the hotel to make any adjustments to my reservation or get questions answered.

Really friendly staff. Couldn’t do enough for me and my 9yr old daughter. I’ve stayed before and this will be my go to hotel in the future. Veggie hot breakfast would’ve been nice though. Amazing coffee!

Ideally if I was going back with my husband a warm veggi breakfast would be good. Also I didn’t get chance to use my £5 at the bar for not having g my room cleaned.

Hotel is 3 or 4 mins walk from Aldgate E tube, so great location for City or Stratford.... and direct line to Embankment/Westminster. Rooms vary in size, all well equipped and a little quirky in design. Bed huge and really comfy, aircon worked a treat... great bar area. Small car park for 20 quid a day out the back. Ideal stop.

Not really a didn't like..... our room was on end of a row, 234, so had a smaller window and was cramped. Was fine for our needs, but just bear in mind when booking. Also, no kettle.. BUT there is a great coffee machine on the floor... OK as I am happy walking looking dishevelled, but some may find this annoying.... lol

The hotel was well placed with very friendly staff. We arrived early on our first day and they were very happy to safely store our bags until we checked in after our day out. Food is good value here, nice range and freshly prepared. We had our evening meal on day one and then breakfast during our stay. If you went away hungry, then you didn't ask! The bar has a good range with prices on a London average. Rooms are comfortable with a good sized shower and nice essential toiletries.

The coffee machine down the corridor was a long walk for late night and early morning drinks.

great location - 10 mins to Whitechapel tube & less than 5 mins to Aldgate East. new lizzy line means it’s 10 mins to the west end. super comfy bed which was huge. loads of pillows and snuggly duvet. linens were really good quality. water in the room. very easy checkin/checkout so so quiet inside and outside the hotel which was bliss (I travel for work & nothing worse than not sleeping on a work night).

these are really really minor points! rooms aren’t the best lit which isn’t too handy for getting ready for work on a dark winter morning. I put do not disturb on room as only staying 2 nights & like to be environmentally friendly but they came in anyway & changed the towels. nice to have the bed turned down but a shame they ignored my request. rainfall shower in bathroom although nice, when you have long thick hair they aren’t the best and also really hard to keep your head dry. usually there’s an additional power shower but not the case here. a fridge would be great addition.

Staff were more than helpful! Room lovely and spacious, fantastic location and great breakfast!

I only have one TINY gripe... I don't know if there was a conference on the second morning I was there but there was not enough room in the breakfast space as a large area was closed off. This was not the case on my first morning. Staff were really helpful and I was allowed to take a plate of breakfast items to my room which was fine but if you had been there with a family (some people had to wait) .... I don't imagine this is a regular occurrence so it didn't change anything about my stay. I still had a lovely time! I would come back!
