Simply Rooms & Suites

The location is excellent. Just across the road from Olympia. Close to Barons Court Tube Station and a short walk into town. The room was very well equipped and comfortable. The En Suite is great, a nice hot shower. The bed is comfortable, and everything was clean and tidy. The staff were excellent on booking in and check out.

A warning to any traveller staying in room number 3 on the ground floor. Check the weather forecast before staying in this room. The window is a foot from a plastic lean-to conservatory and the noise of the rain hitting the roof was so great, even with the window shut and the curtains closed I couldn't sleep. For 2 nights I ended up with the TV on all night to drown out the noise. Even when it had stopped raining the noise continued as the guttering on the main house is leaking, so there was a constant tapping on the roof from the leak 3 storey's up. A pity as otherwise the room was superb.

London is an expensive city so on short notice this place served our needs at a reasonable price. In a quiet neighborhood not too far a walk from West Kensington or Baron Court stations (depending on what line you need to take). Seemed clean to me (I know lots of reviews say otherwise).

There is no elevator (fine for me with a small bag but fyi for others). There was a small stain on my duvet (seemed clean overall but a bit off putting). Only had one roll of toilet paper in the bathroom - when requested did bring more but should probably already have a roll in the room.

We liked our room (no 11) a lot. For a pair there's just about enough space for a week-long stay. The bathroom is tiny, yet the shower cabin is quite spacious. The location is very good: the neighbourhood is nice and quiet, there are pubs and shops nearby; the Tube is a couple of minutes away (a nice stroll, although with heavy luggage it might be a little bothersome) and the buses are even closer. Mind you: it is a good idea to use buses in London - they are very efficient and you can see the city in the meantime (and appreciate how the drivers navigate those narrow London streets). The room was equipped with a hair dryer, an iron, a fridge, a kettle (with tea, coffe and sugar) and air conditioning. We had a really nice stay over there and we can gladly recommend Simply Rooms.

Clean and tidy hotel in general. Good sized room and bathroom with a new air-conditioning unit recently fitted. Good location with very very helpful staff throughout the hotel. Nice powerful shower. Small room fridge and safe with a large fan (and big sash window) for use if you aren't a "fan" of air-con.

Bedside plug sockets and USB-A charging points are preferable rather than being on the opposite side of the room. The bathroom was getting a little tired yet was still more than adequate. Could do with another wardrobe or something similar (it didn't particularly bother either of us as we are used to living out of rucksacks and wheely bags & travel luggage when away from home).

The room air conditioning was adequate but a little tired however the hotel owners are apparently gradually working their way up through the floors and replacing the room air-con systems with new uprated units. Plug sockets a little far from the beds but placing some between or next to the beds along with USB-A charging points would be a nice point of upgrading.

Quiet location with a tesco and some pubs nearby. Good size room. Comfy bed. More modern than you'd expect for an old London townhouse (there's no lift, but this should be expected in such a property). There was also an EU plug socket in the room which helpful. The woman at reception was really friendly. Overall, excellent value.

Plastic floor on old floorboards is pretty noisy although I was not actually disturbed by other rooms, only my own walking. No plug sockets near the bed to charge a phone overnight.

Excellent location close to Underground and Kensington. Good value for Money, the room is basic but has some helpful things included e.g. Comfortable bed (with extra pillows and cushions provided) & little table to sit at provided. Iron & ironing board, fridge and microwave with cutlery also provided. Staff were very helpful. Air conditioning was great on the hot day. Good wifi.

Room could have been a bit cleaner in places e.g. Fridge. Extraction fan was not working in bathroom - but staff looked at it quickly.

The name of the hotel gives a clue. It was simply a room though adequately sized, clean, had all desired facilites (once I got a TV remote that worked!). Perfectly located for my requirements. The bonus was having a small firidge to keep water bottles and a small carton of milk cold.

When you're staying in a room for a week or more you don't have to have the room cleaned and the bed made every day. Apart from leaving day, I put our small amount of rubbish in the nearby litter bin to save the cleaner having to change the plastic bag in the room.

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the stay, it's a fairly basic hotel but it has all the necessary for a comfortable 2 days stay. Beds were nice and comfortable to sleep in, the room is spacious enough for 2 people. Great location, 7 minutes walking distance from West Kensington (District Line) and about 15 minutes from Earl's Court. Rooms are quiet, we were on the ground floor but we didn't hear anyone from the other rooms. No noise from the street either.

The room must have not been vacuumed well before our arrival as there were food crumbles on the floor. Nothing major, but it is always a little worrying when cleaning is not carried out thoroughly. The towels had a very damp smell so upon showering they were even worse. But that was only for the last night so no biggie

Large spacious room, comfortable bed. Very nice cooking/food heating facilities. Very well stocked and thought out room which can be expected for the price and location in Kensington. Location is okay - not super close to the underground but neither too far.

The sink. The faucet sprayed water out at a rate of knots but the sink was not deep enough to contain the splash which resulted in a wet waist after some usage. Bed - I had two singles put together to make a double, unfortunately, the middle part of the bed was hard and uncomfortable, couldn't get that lie in the middle spreadeagled feel. Would appreciate if there was a bottle of water. My room was the one with the bay windows facing the street. Therefore, streetlight + every guest entering and exiting the premises I could hear.
