This is a great value for money hotel, clean and in good location. Nice breakfast and a friendly all-female staff providing the 80s atmosphere complete with Boney M blasting in the breakfast area.

Clearly, this hotel needs refurbishing, but it is clean. The paper-thin walls and squeaky floors make you hear everything around. The hotel is located on a very busy road so the rooms facing the road would probably be very unpleasant.

The room was clean and comfortable. The location was great -- it's walking distance to the Museum of Natural History, the Victoria & Albert Museum, Kensington Palace and Gardens, the Royal Albert Hall, and the Kensington High Street shopping area. The room had an ensuite bathroom. Air conditioning and television were available upon payment of a deposit for the remote controls. It's also within walking distance of two major underground stations.

The hotel is older and not fancy, but is very good value for what I paid.

The staff was absolutely amazing, such lovely people! You can tell they like their job and they all were so kind and nice! Thank you so much! The room service was there every single day and it was neat and clean. The soaps and shampoos were checked and if required replaced. The breakfast room was super light and really nice, with some chill music in the background. The breakfast was good, not a buffet, but refills were brought asap, always with a smile, by the lovely ladies working there. You could get coffee, tea or hot chocolate, a hard-boiled egg and a variety of jams to go with your toasted bread or just put ham and cheese on it.

The bathroom was really really small. As an 1,80m person, i could barely close the door when sitting on the toilet or bend over the very low positioned sink. In the room itself, there was enough room to place some luggage on the floor, but not much more than that. It was manageable but could have been better. Also the beds were a bit uncomfortable and taking their toll on my back. But that might also be a combination of the many walking tours we did while staying here... ;)

Price - Location - Ease of organising last minute through Booking.com were all the advantages. We had to book at the last minute and this seemed to be the only place that did not raise its rates extortionately to take advantage of us in that situation. We arrived very early but were able to check in with no problem. The lady at check-in was very friendly. The room was fine and nice and clean and had a safe for valuables. We were able to look out of the window at the local wildlife in the gardens. Tea & coffee making facilities were very welcome on a soaking wet weekend in London! Location is really handy for Natural History Museum. There is a Pizza Express 1/3 of the way back from NHM also!

Room was quite small; it didn't matter to us for what we needed it for, just be aware this is not the standard room size of a modern hotel. The guy at reception in the morning could have been a little more friendly/helpful; when I asked for a taxi he said I could flag one down outside. But since it was very early Sunday morning it turned out none were passing.

London hotels are currently very busy and becoming very expensive. I stayed at the Oliver late last year and was fortunate to book a room last week for a one night stay in London for just over £ 100 including breakfast. The hotel is easily accessible close to Earls Court tube station and there is a huge Sainsburys just 150 yards east on the Cromwell Road. I discovered a small Sainsburys just across the road, a couple of minutes from the tube station. I needn't have bothered with either as breakfast was included. Staff were all friendly and helpful and I was able to check in at around 2 pm, returning much later after business meetings. Re-assuring to find decent and comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price. Thank you Hotel Oliver.

The room was on the quiet side of the building which was good, there was potentially plenty of ventilation (I don't like to sleep in a closed-in room) Although I didn't use the TV it would have been a good size for the room. The shower room/toilet was quite adequate for a single person. The door to the room I don't think was actually a fire door, it seemed too light construction but would be easy to change. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I was grateful for their quiet support.

The entrance to the shower room/toilet was quite limited. It was good that I am not more solidly built than I already am. Because the entrance to the room was not full construction, noises from outside the room were louder than they needed to be. The door closer was not adjusted and I had to make sure (for other guests) that I held the door from the inside when closing it and that when I left the room I held the door knob to prevent the door from banging when it closed.

Very friendly staff and good service provided. The quality of the room/furniture was good when looking at the price you pay! I had not found dirty / mold corners. Overall I am very satisfied with our stay at this hotel! I had very low expectations and was surprised that I had seen much worth conditions of more expensive hotels before.

The handwash soup was changed every day! This is unnecessary cause of trash! I also suggest to exchange the hadwash soup storage unit at the wall, as at our room the wet soap would have leaked onto the toilete paper and therefor we had left it on the sink. The towels were changed 1 day before we left from our 3 nights stay. This was not required and the exchange did not follow any logic? Above our shower there was a water leak from room above. The service had been informed and I hope they avoid further damage and repair it before something more happens. If the people above take a shower while you are in the room for sleep then you might be very annoyed about this, we just found out about it by chance during early morning after breakfast.

The hotel is in a really good location, 5 mins walk from the Earl's Court Underground station. You can get there in 40 mins from Heathrow. It's in a walking distance from the Natural History and the Science museums. A few restaurants are within 2 min walk from the hotel. The breakfast is OK, we stayed at the hotel for two nights only, both mornings we got the same breakfast: a boiled egg, two toasts, a plate with ham and cheese and an apple, loads of butter and jam. You can ask for as much tea and/or coffee as you like. The dining room is open 24/7, with free tea and coffee. There's also a fridge where we could keep some fruit and yogurts. A small courtyard was a great place to hide from the heat.

A selection of vegetables at the breakfast would be a plus.

The owners of the hotel are so kind and accommodating, they've upgraded us to a bigger room for free as we had a lot of luggage, and helped us with everything needed as our flight was postponed. They also happily allowed us to check out late. Out of the three hostels/hotels we were in, this had the biggest rooms and showers! Would certainly come back again!

Stayed here for a quick family trip to London to show my nephew some culture and it was great value. Room was a good size, tucked away although a bit noisy first thing. Breakfast was excellent and beyond expectations. Staff were friendly and it was overall excellent value for the location. Easy to get around London from here.

Shower was very hot and couldn’t adjust temperature as hot/cold wasn’t displayed on the tap. Bit noisy from upstairs first thing but otherwise a good location.
