Oliver Plaza Hotel

The room was small but nice. The shower was really good with overhead and a handheld shower and good amount of power. It was also a really quiet considering we were in the middle of London! We were two minutes walk from Earl’s Court tube station that took to to and from Hammersmith for a show and right into the centre of London all on one line within 10-15 mins. And right near the museums.

My only real complaint was the room was in the basement level, I wish I had known about that before booking. Also the only form of heat in the room was from a noisy wall mounted fan heater. I didn’t know about this until I woke in the first night to a freezing room as it wasn’t switched on. I left it on while we were out the following day to try and make sure the room was warmish upon our arrival and when we got back we found it was again turned off and the room was cold.

Location is perfect for London - 2 minutes walk from Earls Court tube station on District and Piccadilly lines. Staff were really friendly and helpful when we had questions. Really comfy bed. Great air con.

The only thing I would say is that for a twin room the bathroom situation was a little bit 'familiar'! You can see and hear everything in the bathroom as it's just a sliding door that doesn't lock about 2 ft from the bed.

The hotel staff is friendly and helpful, service is personal and considerate. Breakfast is good value for money. Hotel is recently renovated and kept very clean. Earl's Court station and West Brompton are nearby so arrival and departure to both Heathrow and Gatwick is Easy, not to mention that Earl's Court is in both zone 1 and 2, serviced by Piccadilly and District so Holiday's logistics are a breeze.

The room was small but that is expected when you book a single in London. Really hard to find anything to complain. So I share a funny anecdote: 11 o'clock at the date of my departure I was opening my room door with my luggage a cleaning lady from Eastern Europe retorted to me: "You have to go now." I got Fawlty Towers feeling. In a good way. Beans could be better and bacon is English style that I don't like but otherwise breakfast is good.

Location to the Piccadilly line made it easy to access LHR and the theatre district (and stair free access with suitcases at Earls Court) as well as food etc (eg fastfood and supermarket) close by. It was very clean and the breakfast was great. Air conditioning worked well and my single room had a double/king single bed. The staff were friendly and efficient.

The lift was out and stairs in these types of properties are very steep. The hotel should install refillable soap and shampoo dispensers to save on plastic in landfills. The room I was in (118) was very small and had no opening windows.

The property was very clean, and though our room was on the small side, it was very functional. Plenty of storage under the bed and in the wardrobe, and plenty of electrical outlets throughout the room. We stayed in a double twin room and felt that the beds were both comfortable. The lounge where we ate breakfast was clean and the breakfast staff was very friendly, and the bathrooms off the lounge were very nice! The building also offers an elevator which was so lovely because one of my party was dealing with a knee injury, so it was so nice for her to be able to take the elevator up and down to our room and the breakfast lounge rather than having to climb up and down four flights of stairs.

The sliding frosted glass door between the bedroom and the en-suite bathroom was odd, not allowing for as much privacy/sound-proofing in the bathroom as I’d typically like; however, in such a small space, I understand why a traditional door may not be possible.

Very clean. The room was very small but well organized everything. A window that let fresh air and a nice view. Provided with air conditioning. The day was nice but in a hot one and so little space is appreciated. very comfortable fabric in linen and the bath towel that kind soft that dries quickly. The bathroom with glassed-shower, brand new taps, a mirror with led to get better light inside. A long mirror behind the door and small wardrobe with enough hangers and a safetybox. The lift was usually available and the breakfast was nice.

I woukd have wished a room a bit bigger but for my needs it fitted

Stayed here on 2 occasions recently. Extremely well located on a quiet street about 200m from Earls Court station which provides easy access via the picadilly and district lines to key tourist areas. The area has plenty of amenities so is convenient. Hotel has undergone a refurbish in recent years so appears more modern than most. The rooms are smallish however that's the norm in London. I found it comfortable with rooms containing TV, coffee/ tea facilities, a safe and good wifi. The breakfast I thought was excellent and a good option and value. Staff were helpful to me and would stay here again.

The staff were super nice and helpful. My favorite is Isabella; very courteous and sensitive to guest needs. Rooms are super clean. Bed is very comfortable. I definitely liked the rooms with normal windows over the ones with high fitted windows. Location is super; close to the underground station and many restaurants and cafes. I liked having my own A/C to control the room temperature. I highly recommend the hotel.

Definitely the highly fitted windows; I like to be able to look out my room windows. Then the fact that you have to climb 5-6 stairs to get to the hotel's main door. This is tough when you're carrying heavy luggage.

We like everything! Overall, our experience was excellent with the exception that if you are vegetarians/vegans/gluten-free individuals, you need to specifically request vegetable milk or alternative food options. It would be great if these options were readily available without having to ask daily, as it can be uncomfortable to inquire repeatedly. However, aside from this, everything else was perfect, and the kitchen staff was exceptionally kind.
