location! the best in London in my opinion.

bathroom water pressure was weak, slow WiFi, mini bar wasn’t cooling well.

Located just behind Harrods in Knightsbridge its central location is perfect to get to all parts of London easily. Hyde Park is just minutes away of morning jogging and walking. The staff was exceptional. We had to extend our stay and they worked very hard to accommodate us. The hotel is very well maintained and nicely appointed. The bathrooms are updated and sparkling clean.

The room doors leading to the hall way close automatically when opened and released. This is not a problem during the day but at night I was woken up a couple of times each night as the doors slam shut loudly unless being held and manually closed. A minor inconvenience in an otherwise well-run establishment.

We loved having a two bedroom, two full bath apartment (for the 5 of us) in such a nice area. It is literally down the street from Harrod’s and the neighborhood is swanky. Very safe and convenient but some of the nearby coffee shops and retail was really pricey. We were a 15 min cab ride from many of the primary tourist areas. We did not feel a part of the hotel because we had a separate entrance but that was no problem.

The unit was a little dated but sufficiently clean. Too many really expensive food and retail that was super pricey.

The Capital was AMAZING, FABULOUS, PERFECT!!! First of all, THE STAFF! I travelled for work around the world since 1978 and the staff at The Capital exceeds the graciousness of any hotel I've ever stayed at. Every single staff member treated you like you were family. They were friendly, attentive and could not do enough for us. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Two minutes from Harrods! Enough said about that! Perfect location. Close to Knightsbridge tube station so easy access to the Underground. We arrived on an early morning flight and made the decision for a room at the back of the hotel. My sister and I could not believe *how quiet* this room was. We literally heard no noise from outside, or inside the hotel as well. I highly suggest you book a room with Breakfast - either The Continental or The English Breakfast. Both are fabulous. It depends on your personal preference for breakfast pastries (delicious) fresh fruit, yogurt, granola/cereal or a hot egg dish. As we told one of the staff the morning we left, who peeked out of the breakfast area to tell us *Goodbye* and who took fabulous care of us during breakfast each morning... *We are so going to miss you! * And we are. We certainly were spoiled by every staff member at The Capital. When returning to London, and we will... I've been there 200 - 300 time and it was my sister's first trip and we both LOVE LONDON, we never need to search for a hotel again. We have found our home in London at The Capital. Love to all of you at The Capital... you all are AMAZING!

Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Everything at The Capital was PERFECT! Beautiful English look to our room, which we wanted. Very comfortable bed. A staff that was above and beyond any staff in the world... not kidding! When everything is already Perfect there is nothing to dislike. Do not change a thing.

I and my wife have been coming to this hotel for over 40 years on our annual trip from Australia. It has lost a little of its personal touch since an australian sold out to a corporate. The cuisine is not in the michelin range anymore. But what was good, the entertainment manager arranged a table for 18 in a private room for our family reunion, and that was excellent. And of course the location is brilliant. And finally the concierge is extremely helpful. Highly recommended.

there is no business facilities, such as a computer and printer. Room consummables were not replaced on a daily basis.

I love the cozy English vibes of this hotel. Feels like home and not some big fancy commercial hotel. The staff were all super friendly and helpful to all my requested needs. The room was very comfortable. There was also sky tv so I loved at night I could watch some English tv or anything I wanted with a wide selection of channels. The location doesn’t get any better than this being right next to Harrods. Definitely will be coming back again and again in the future.

There was some construction noise almost everyday within the building. Also no gym which normally I like to use in a hotel while traveling.

the left door is closing manually. if someone forgot to close it the left will not work. It happened to me more than once, forcing me to go up to the third floor carrying my things.

The room itself was lovely and the bed and linens were very comfortable. The pillows were very soft and I would have struggled if I didn't have my own memory foam neck pillow with me. A choice would have been preferable. Lovely kind staff.

The turbo cars revved up and down the road until the small hours. The noisy Aircon in the room although it was a blessing as we couldn't manage to turn the heating down in the bathroom and the underfloor heating was set to 25°. For a 5* hotel we were disappointed to see wallpaper peeling near the kettle and the dirty paintwork in all areas of the room. The choice of pillows or lack thereof. The lack of information in the room, how to use the Aircon and the underfloor heating would have been appreciated. The lack of milk to compliment the tea and coffee. The room was set for three people but only two cups and two complimentary waters were left.

The room where we stayed was beautifully refurbished. It was quiet and very nice. The hotel stuff is very friendly and attentive. This is a hotel with its certain face, where you feel at home.

The room was a bit small for two people with large suitcases. And I wanted to change it for the bigger one, just like I have booked. But, it turned out the other rooms were not so nice, as they were not refurbished yet and the worst part of it, that they had a very offensive smell of strong air fresheners, that usually used in public bathrooms. I have brought this problem to the attention of the hotel manager and do hope he understood my concern. There should be no smell at all in the rooms, unless it is a very vague one of a very good perfume, to which the customers of 5 star hotels are accustomed to.

The staff where lovely. It was a traditional hotel with the old values (and that is rare these days). The rooms are a little shabby but the service and tradition makes up for that. We came by car and they parked it. Lovely service and touch. The food in the restaurant was good too. When do you ever get a good restaurant in a hotel? They have just done the bar and restaurant up it is very small but nicely done.

We got recommended a shot from the bar Manager as they didn't have any port and the recommendation was (and we didn't realise) £110.00 a shot) that was naughty as we where not told that. Shame because the Cocktails and the Bar Manger where very good but that was about ethics. I highlighted it to the Hotel Manager and he dealt with it very professionally. Needless to say they reversed the charge to the equivalent cost of a port (which we requested in the first place).
