We loved the home away from home feel & the great location

Considering we’ve stayed at this property multiple times and for extended periods of time we were given a microscopically sized room during our last visit. There was also no initiative to find a solution for us when we made our dissatisfaction known to the front desk stuff on duty.

Nice location and clearly great staff and service.

I do not agree in being asked to pay a 20% tip for service in a 5 star hotel , it was discretionary but I had to ask for it to be removed from my bill. Excellent service should be baked in. I hope the staff, who are excellent, are well remunerated by their employer. It pretty much ruined my stay. Maybe I am old fashioned.

After having read the reviews, I had really high expectations but left feeling that the reviews did not do this hotel justice. The staff went above and beyond to give us a unique, personalised stay (thank you so much for the welcome card and the homemade shortbread and the Harry Potter letter!!!). The rooms and decor are so charming and feel typically British. The bathrooms are beautiful and everything was super clean! The breakfast is excellent with plenty of choices – nothing is too much trouble (the scrambled eggs, bircher muesli and fresh fruit salad of blueberries, raspberries, blackberries & even a sprinkling of flowers! were the best). The location is superb - two minutes away from Harrods and the tube. Thank you to all the staff (especially Thomas, Dean, Lula, Nijole and Billie) for making this a memorable stay. We will be back 😊

Couldn’t afford the breakfast £26 person

Apart from the hotel itself absolutely everything else,drinks food etc were ridiculously expensive . Luckily there were plenty of shops and restaurants nearby

Five stars are an understatement for the experience you get at the Egerton House. It has been thus far our best stay in London. The hotel building is GORGEOUS, a Victorian town house beautifully decorated and equipped with all amenities one can need. The staff’s expertise in hospitality just shines through in every single detail. All is perfectly taken care of from arrival until check out, the service is outstanding, food is INCREDIBLE (the fresh homemade shortbreads being served in the room are to die for, let along the freshly baked scones), you will not want to leave, trust me. Our stay at the Egerton House elevated our expectations going forward. Million thanks to all the staff for making us feel so welcomed, specially to Giulia, Jacques, Benjamin, Lili, and the lovely lady with blond hair that served us food at the drawing room. Everyone is an example of professionalism in hospitality, pretty much taken to the next level. We hope to be back soon

The attention to detail throughout the property creates the most enjoyable and relaxing environment. It truly feels like a home away from home and a perfect setting to return to after long days exploring London. I was made to feel like I was the only guest in the hotel from the moment I arrived. Every member of the staff was professional, courteous and willing to provide exceptional service throughout my stay. The location is in a beautiful area of Kensington/Knightsbridge and convenient to navigate all parts of London. The Egerton House is one of the best accommodations I’ve experienced and is very deserving of its 5 star rating on the list of Forbes Best Hotels in the world. Special mention to the exceptional service from reception staff especially Jacque and Benjamin.

There is absolutely nothing I could mention. Every detail was superb.

The front desk staff and head bar man. The decor of our room was neutral and restful

The staff at breakfast who we felt were there to put a plate of food in front of you and get off their shift. We felt they were lazy and disorganised. When bringing a plate to the table they never cleared empty cups or glasses or asked if we wanted more coffee.. I had to ask them to make space on tables by taking crockery etc away. The sauces never arrived until we were half way through eating food. They held off making a journey with the sauces until they were bringing out food to another table. Most annoying is they do not look around the room when walking in and out of the kitchen. They want to avoid eye contact and a request for something else. Pretty basic really.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff, excellent location. Superb breakfast.

The room and the breakfast room were small and rather cramped. We were given a somewhat dark room in the semi-basement and I would recommend asking for a room higher up in the building. All in all, the price we paid seems excessive compared with other hotels in which we have stayed in London, but the quality of the service compensated for it to some extent.
