The staff, the service , and the location, everything from start to finish was great, We had gone over for a long deserved break for myself any my Lady as we haven't been away in over 12 years since have our first of 4 boys, and it was her birthday so it was all the more special which the staff of York & Albany made all the better. We were greeted by a lovely young gentleman on arriving who showed us to our room, when we arrived in we were shocked with the setup, a lovely hand written note wishing herself a happy Birthday and a lovely birthday plate, we then received a gentle knock on the door, we opened to a smile and 2 glasses of Prosecco, the first of many. We were blown away by the service and when we went down to go for some food we were told that it was raining and the staff went looking for an umbrella for us. The following morning we had a busy day of sightseeing so we got up early and went down for breakfast at half 8, but on a saturday they dont start till 9am , but that was ok we received a nice coffee and juice and asked that we only required and egg and bacon sandwich and that would do, the chef said No problem and had it out to us in no time and to say the quality was good was an understatement, it set us up for the day. After coming back from a long day of walking we were greeted by another member of staff Titch ( I hope im spelling that right) and again 1st class service very nice guy, with a like welcome home greeting from him, so we went up to our room and again after about 5 minutes another gentle knock to open to two more glasses of Prosecco which at this stage I think I am getting a taste for, a quick chat and off he went.

While everything was great, the only thing I could fault as an Irish man was the sausages for breakfast, the only recommendation I could make is (Clonakilty), and you won't be sorry, Im sure they deliver to London.

We were offered a free upgrade to a larger room/suite, the room was fabulous, really roomy and very private. Staff were friendly attentive and polite, as well as enthusiastic. We felt welcomed and really well looked after, breakfast was excellent and taken in the restaurant which was light and pleasant. A special mention to Titch and Oanna who were especially on the ball, but all the staff were on it too...!

We didn't use the restaurant for our other meals as the menu seemed a little too 'burger and pizza' for our tastes, it would have been nice to have a better food selection, but there are other good restaurants around the area. Breakfast was superb however - outstanding and highly reccomended.

Possibly the best and most attentive customer care I've ever received at a hotel. Arrived late and had to book the room because I'd injured my leg and couldn't drive. Berna, the concierge that night, couldn't have done more to look after me in my sorry state. Made me feel immediately at ease and even brought some ice so I could apply it to my potentially torn leg muscle overnight. No doubt this also assisted my recovery to the point I could drive the next day. A potentially disastrous night that ended well and that's all thanks to Berna and the hotel. I can't recommend them enough,

an amasing hotel...only 8 rooms, thaey treat you as the royal family... beautiful room, with an amasing bath...great to relax yourself after shopping... can't ask for a better location...88 bus streight to Oxford street, Camden market down the road... perfect breakfast nothing that I have ever witnessed in a 5 star hotel... to sit in front of Camden neighborhood, to see all the joggers who run to Regent's park, which is 5 minute walk from the hotel, and to enjoy breakfest that is served to you , not in a buffet p e r f e c t !!!

Very Large sunny room with 4 poster bed with luxe sheets and pillows. Everything we could need. Brought us second arm chair when requested. We prefer Nescafé to fancy pods and they brought me a new jar they had just popped out and bought. Quirky and original furniture. Great attention to detail and really personalised service. Thanks to our Bulgarian cleaner for sourcing the Nescafé. Brilliant Breakfast is anything off the menu and stuff not on it (Eg yoghurt). Given complimentary fizz as came down before 9am breakfast start at weekend. The painting on wall of soldier/royal costume with Gordon Ramsay’s face. Great location next to Regent’s Park. We stayed due to proximity to wedding venue we were going to. Would def return.

The 4 steep steps down to the bathroom. Had a family dinner the first eve. My son’s steak was ax over cooked but they did take it off the bill so that we as good. Then added service charge for same amount 😂

The staff here amazing and the bed was so comfortable, the location was spot on for our requirements, short walk from the tube and across the road from Regents park

At check we had to wait whilst another couple spent ages at reception, then had the staff carry the bags to the rooms, then kept the staff from reception for an age apparently asking questions. long shot being it took 20 minutes before anyone dealt with us, fortunately the chap on the bar saw what was occurring and stepped in to offer us a drink!

The central location, the fantastic restaurant below, wonderful staff and unique rooms really enhanced our experience at York & Albany. Special shout out to Oana who went the extra mile for my daughter and even gifted her a Peppa Pig drawing slate for children's day. My daughter, wife and I loved the property and will love to be back here some day.

The only thing that marred our experience was a night alarm that went off at 1 am due to a technical glitch. Made us jump out of the beds. The other minor blip was a little stench in the bathroom which couldn't be masked by fresheners.

The stay was very good. We were impressed by the desire to please, the good service, the excellent quality of the restaurant food for dinner and breakfast (breakfast is my favourite meal and I gauge all hotels on their quality. There were extra touches e.g. Prosecco for my daughter’s birthday and providing her with a complimentary breakfast, which was really appreciated. The room was lovely, quirky and comfortable. Very spacious for London too. The room was a little noisy facing the main road, good for an early wake up call! Lol. Three improvements I would suggest for the room; while the room is quirky the management of the room door lock (old key and old lock) was a little frustrating. The room temperature was either on or off. I’d like to set the temperature. Finally, the bathroom needs somewhere, apart from the floor, to store/shelve personal toiletries. Location is really good too. Close enough to the tube, excellent for Regents Park and the lovely gardens and Camden Market. Thanks to the team, I’d happily come back.

The room was spacious and well furnished. The view from the room quite nice. The location of the hotel in Camden is superb, just next to Regent's Park and a short walk from restaurants and the tube. Friendly staff.

The room charge was excessive (Rather a 5 star rate than a 4 star / about 900 for n3 nights or so). The restaurant downstairs is somewhat pretentious but at best so so (and as a result, so is the breakfast).

The location was excellent, which is why I was happy to pay more than I normally do. The bathroom has huge and the bed was comfy with plenty of pillows. There was a tower fan which I really appreciated as it was humid. I arrived at the hotel hot, a bit grimey from being out all day and tired. I left clean, well fed and very well rested. The breakfast was exceptionally tasty, the scrambled eggs, toast and lovely salty butter a particular highlight.
