Regency Hotel Parkside

I liked that the hotel had an elevator and very close to the tube station, restaurants and nice stores. The Marylebone area has a lot of interesting shops, including a popular book store called Daunt Books. Lots of restaurants to choose from. It is also very close to Regent's Park (~5 minute walk) which is quite large and beautiful. We walked there at dusk and there were a lot of people strolling about and it seemed safe. Our room had three twin beds and although a tight fit, we were comfortable. If you have a lot of luggage or large pieces of luggage, it may be difficult. We had two 21" carry ons, one duffle, and three day packs. There is a wardrobe available and the duffle and a backpack fit in nicely.

The room got a little warm and the air conditioning seemed to be centrally controlled so we opened the windows and that helped. Lighting in the bathroom was poor. Water pressure in the shower was on the low side. We didn't bring these things to the attention of management since it wasn't a big problem for us.

Location is excellent, only a few mins walk from Baker St tube station. Close to many good restaurants, pubs and cafes. Hotel looks recently refurbished and is spotlessly clean. Very friendly staff at reception. Very quiet hotel through the night which is rare in London at this price point. Would definitely return.

Minor negative points reduced overall score of the hotel slightly. Room 411 is a top floor room that is VERY small for two people when set up as a twin. It may work better as a double. Room space is further restricted by steep sloping ceilings which reduce the already small floor space. Only one of us could move around the room or go to the bathroom at any time provided the other person lay on their bed. I asked for a high room for noise reasons so the small space was partly my own fault. The bathroom was very clean but the shower pressure was very poor, probably due to the high floor location. Solution - ask for a lower floor next time.

This small friendly hotel was spotlessly clean and very friendly welcoming staff. Literally 2 mins from Marleybone High St with all the upmarket shops and lovely restaurants. 7 min walk to Baker St tube, easy 15 mins walk to Bond Street. The rooms are small but spotless with a mini fridge and tea and coffee facilities. Shower powerful. For the price fantastic value for money in what is very Central London.

Our room looked into an inner courtyard which had we spent more time in the room may have felt claustrophobic but we didn’t so was a non issue really.

Great location. The room was spotlessly clean with comfy beds and air con. A small fridge and a safe in the room.

There was no view from the window as it was at the back of the hotel but the plus side was it was very quiet.

excellent location, allowed us to leave luggage on last day for few hours.

side table had sticky stains and the room was very cold. only heating was small radiator. asked for instructions to heating, but told room only had aircon- a fellow guest decided to blast stereo in the middle of the night until someone banged on their door. Half the sliding shower door was missing and had a shower curtain in its place but poorly fitted and that meant water could drip into floor if you are not very careful.

Although the room was small we enjoyed the stay because it was very clean , the quality of the built was very good with brand new material. Bathroom had space and nice facilities. Staff was friendly. The neighbourhood is very quiet although close to major streets. Nice outlets around for breakfast lunch or drinks and dinner. Quality outlets for shopping as well. Baker Street tube station is 4 min walk. Very good memories from the overall experience .

Room size but I understand that this was an old building with specific limitations so to become a hotel.

The location was ideal. Check-in was smoothly accomplished. Room was adequate. Breakfast was freshly cooked, even though you pay extra for this. Staff were friendly and professional. Hotel felt secure. Free WiFi.

Bathroom shower head leaked. Room key locked out on the morning of check-out once I left the room for breakfast, resulting in not being able to get back in to room to pack up and having to return to reception to have them re-code my key. Would like to see a better choice of continental breakfast. There is no fresh bottled water in the room.

Great hotel right in the heart of London, room was very good, everything was there, and the staff really did their best to accomodate me regarding everything. My room was ready at 10.30 am so they let me check in then, which was extremely kind. Breakfast was extensive, and all in all it is very good value for money, esp. considering the location. Will definitely book again!

As the temperature in all rooms was centrally regulated, I could not change it and at arrival, it was rather hot. However, I just opened the windows so problem solved:)
