The Snooty Fox

I was really surprised by this property as it was so much better than the reviews led one to believe. My room was well decorated and spacious. There were two really comfortable armchairs at the foot of the bed. It was very clean as was the large bathroom with shower. It all looked freshly decorated. There were all the expected amenities and even a microwave, plates and cutlery. Little extras such as packets of biscuits and good old West Country tea were a bonus. There was plenty of cupboard and storage space. Having ones own door to the outdoors and seating area was for me a real bonus. Stuart the owner was a great host, friendly and really helpful in giving directions to local attractions.

I have no criticisms at all about the Snooty Fox, I would definitely stay there again.

Three of us bikers ( separate bikes) needed a reasonably priced family room with safe parking which is exactly what we got. £114 between us was very good value and we were a ten minute cab ride (£12) from the centre of Looe with it's bars/restaurants etc. (highly recommended btw, beautiful setting and lots of choices). We managed to park our bikes out of view of the main road so it was great in that respect. The room was comfortable and spacious with a small kitchenette so all that we needed. Coffee/tea/ was supplied but there were a couple of things missing....only two mugs and no cups in a family room was a shame and also no shampoo or shower gel but the main issue was the shower tray was partially blocked so we had to be very quick with our showers to avoid flooding the bathroom. For those reasons I can only score an overall 8 rather than 10. Having said that, they're easy fixes so I would still recommend staying at the Snooty Fox as staying in Looe is more expensive and parking is a real issue especially for motorbikes.

The location is so peaceful. The rooms are cosy. Staff were helpful, warm friendly and welcoming. The views are great. Plenty of parking. Relaxing

Our first night was spoilt by inconsiderate neighbours, who turned up very late, then proceeded to play extremely loud music, shouting and being quite derogatory about their room ( yes he was so loud we could hear every word) disrespectful. However when we spoke to Stewart, he was so understanding and helpful. And so we went on to enjoy the rest of our stay.

Location and size of room was great. Good value for the time of year. Lovely bedding, pillows and towels. Greeted by the owner or manager, very pleasant.

Bed was a little hard but it was warm so I slept on top of the quilt which softened it. I misread website and thought it was a hotel not a motel so was disappointed not to be able to eat there and had to drive off to get meals but entirely my fault. Just pointing out in case others misread.

Property was a self contained studio, good living area with fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. All crockery, towels and bed linen supplied and also toilet rolls, hand soap dispenser and a large supply of tea, coffee and sugar. Large bathroom with shower cubicle and heated towel rail, also a working radiator in the living area. The bed and pillows are really comfortable, a real plus! It is situated a couple of miles from Looe which has restaurants, shops and pubs and coffee shops. Mexican restaurant is great food and reasonable prices, also a pizzeria and pub food available. A great place to stay.

As it was the end of the season, the property looks a little tired on the outside but inside is very comfortable.

musty smell though didn’t cause any health problems. Fridge in a cupboard and not very cold, don’t bring a lot of food it will go off. Coffee tea etc with decaf. No bar on site, odd as I think they would make a killing as nowhere else for miles around. Couldn’t get a taxi with the numbers given. Outside space and garden furniture need a coat or two of paint. It’s not a B&B despite the large sign on the wall!

The location was lovely, however due to a road closure, transport was more expensive. The room was lovely, comfortable and clean. House keeping was daily which was great.

On arrival we had to contact vendor by telephone, as Stewart explained, he had been delayed in traffic. However it would have been good to meet the vendors during our stay. Public transport times were limited to 2 hourly, and taxis were expensive. Snooty fox very isolated, no local facilities within walking distance.

Very clean and the room was presented nicely. Fresh towels were left, room was cleaned everyday we were there, bins were emptied, rubbish taken away and bed covers changed.

No socket for the bedside lamp and had to take the TV plug out of the socket to plug in the lamp. Tv remote didn't have any batteries so we had to go out and buy our own. Quite far out of Looe and from the supermarkets. Everywhere we needed to go was a 10 minute drive. Mattress was quite hard according to my partner and the pillows were hurting his neck.

The place was good just a smell in bathroom which I told them about inlet pipe to the lue was leaking and going under the lino needs sorting or smell will not go.and bed was bit on hard side apart from that all good would go back againe.

The kitchenette was very handy and the room had all the amenities we needed (a kettle, hairdryer, etc). All of the furniture was comfortable. Appreciated the private entrance for easy access to our room.

The floor was dusty/didn’t feel clean under bare feet.
