Booked this as it was only 3 miles from where I was to do some work. The room was spotless, plenty of tea and coffee and a bottle of water, a real mug and a real glass for the water! Plenty of toiletries. Lovely breakfast cooked to order. Sadly the bar and kitchen are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays but I was may aware of this at the time of booking and they supplied me with information on local restaurants and take aways. Great parking.

Excellent and freshly cooked meals. Ordered full english breakfast the evening before . Perhaps the extra yoghurt , fruit and juice could have been on a seperate table as we didnt need them . Very affordable extra as £5 for breakfast each

Maybe a wider variety of cereal as only two choices. We also had an evening meal here which was great , really enjoyed it . Possibly reduce the childrens portion size as although I'm a small adult it seemed huge ! Or do a smaller portion option on the menu as i felt like i was waisting food not emptying the plate. Dare I say a vegan option needed too , for those with allergies! (Vegan burger or curry)

Lovely pub in a great location, a beer garden with a beautiful view. The rooms we had were very nicely furnished, decorated, and comfortable. We had an evening meal which was superb, we chose three different options and they were all delicious. I'd have no hesitation in staying there again.

Shower wasn't the best, but adequate. I don't recall any air con, but there were plenty of windows to open if needed, so you'd probably be fine.

Owners are fab, great family bussiness, food great good selection , wonderful size bedroom with a sofa tv bonus with Netflix etc. Everywhere spotless . They left bottled water out most nights for us .. great as I’m a cold water drinker only - good selection of coffee tea milk etc Great eating outside area. Large car park never struggle. To park - breakfast added extra £5 each which I liked as I’m not a breakfast person but my hubby is. And you can choose what days you would like it - ( times between 7-9pm) everyone there friendly The bed was like sleeping on air really good night sleep every.night - I think our room was above pub but never effected our sleep! We will be back and highly recommend

Due to covid - pub restaurant closed Tuesday and wednesday. Train opposite only runs limited times - ended up not using it. Never disturbed us whilst passing But had a car so all good

A warm welcome. Very friendly ambience. The evening meal very tasty. A good choice on the menu. Comfortable sleep. Clea, tidy room with all facilities for an overnight stay.

Don't think there is anything. Maybe a range of price if a full English breakfast is not wanted. I left early morning so didn't actually need one but price put me off as I would only have wanted toast/cereal and a cuppa.

The room was exceptionally clean and very homely. Lovely decor and nice pictures on the wall. The bathroom was a lovely size and the shower was very good. Lovely comfortable bed and plenty of plug sockets for phone charging etc. The staff were very friendly and welcoming nothing was too much bother for them. The breakfast was lovely, freshly cooked and good quality, the evening meals were also delicious. We really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate in going back.

The hotel is next to a train station and the trains were a little annoying at first but we got used to them.

the breakfasts were excellent I chose a lighter option breakfast, toast, cereal, cooked meats for 2 days, and a cooked breakfast on day 3, all were excellent and ready at the time I requested breakfast, location is good by car, not a problem or in my case, I used bus service which stops very close to the hotel, in addition, the railway station is right opposite the hotel

excellent the hotel and service were to my satisfaction will be booking the hotel again in the near future

A very nice and filling cooked breakfast every morning and worth every penny, very reasonable. Staff are very accommodating and pleasant. Hotel is very clean and supply of water, towels & biscuits replenished regularly, a real bonus. Good location for exploring.

Would be good if there was some shelving in the bathroom for toiletries, didn't really have anywhere to put your toiletries & maybe a couple of extra shelves in the main room to place some items. We did know that there may be some noise from the pub below & warned it would last until about 11.30 but Friday night noise went on until 12.30, so very tired the next day.

Very warm greeting on arrival and allowed to go to my room despite being more than an hour early. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Didn't eat there this time but the food looked wonderful. Comfortable and clean room, plenty of tea and coffee. Good atmosphere in the bar and very well looked after by the staff.

Couldn't find any fault.

We did not have breakfast but if it was like the evening meal previously it would have been excellent Nothing was too much trouble and we felt welcome from the moment we stepped in the door. The room was small but the extra touches were so nice. Soap, shower gel etc on towels on the bed. Tea, coffee, chocolate facilities were great. Clean and tidy and fit for purpose. We enjoyed our short stay
