Very friendly host. Lovely location. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was plentiful and very good quality. I definitely recommend this place for a quiet stay. We ate at the Copley Arms which is a short drive away and the Inn on The Shore in nearby Downderry which has wonderful sea views. We also had lunch at the Beach House in Seaton, again just a two mile drive away. Great food, friendly locals serving in all three places.

Nothing not to like. I wasnt keen on Looe during the day. I'd recommend to visit early evening when the town is quieter as it was a it packed on a sunny afternoon, but that is just a personal reference.

The Location is a little secluded , but that is one of Bucklawren's attractions. It is a lovely property ,with lovely gardens , to relax in .Joe , the Owner is a wonderful host , and looks after you ,from the moment you arrive, she is very knowelable, about Looe and the surrounding area . The breakfasts are really filling , with a good choice .The Bedrooms are very clean and comfortable, and have really nice views. I would definitely return, if we choose to go to Looe again.

Very narrow lanes to get to Bucklawren, but if you take your time , and drive carefully , you should be fine , as there are pull ins along the lanes. No other dislikes at all.

Jo was very welcoming, friendly and smiley. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Everything was spotlessly clean and well cared for. Brilliant hospitality tray which could be replenished from supplies in the hall when needed. Bottled sparkling and still water was always available. Delicious home made cake on arrival. Lovely seaview from our room. Fluffy towels and gorgeous toiletries. Great breakfast with plenty of choice..all delicious. Ideally situated just outside Looe..lots of great places to visit within easy reach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, a real home from home.

Jo is the perfect host. The accomodation was delightful, the breakfast were great and we were made to feel at home and at our ease. Jo had many suggestions of places to visit and how to get there with a wide knowledge of the history and politics of the local area. We had a room that had a view across verdant fields dotted with daffodils and beyond we could see the town of Looe on the coast.

We could have stayed longer. The stay at Bucklawren exceeded our expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend it as a perfect Cornwall holiday destination.

Beautiful situation with wonderful views of Looe. We were given a very warm welcome and shown to our room which was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Well equipped with en suite , TV, kettle and tea/coffee/biscuits etc. A very pleasant and relaxing stay, with a well cooked breakfast to start the day. Nothing was to much trouble for our host and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Highly recommended.

Nothing.

Jo is a great host with wonderful knowledge of the area and happy to recommend places to visit. Friendly and welcoming. Great breakfast

Not an issue for us but roads are steep if you want to walk anywhere from the B&B but worth the effort as the views are stunning. Local bus stop just over a mile away

Firstly Jo the owner was so friendly and helpful. The location overlooking the rolling farms to the sea and Looe was fabulous. There is a massive grass lawn with table and chair in the sun all day and parking was a doddle. The room was called Foxglove and it had one of the best views facing south. Everything was provided for hot drinks, bottled water and biscuits and there was always replenishments in the lobby without having to ask. The breakfast was the best quality you could ask for and the menu was tailored to what you wanted in every detail. The bed was fine, and the room looked brand new fitted out in a country house style with two comfy arm chairs. The house was a perfect large country farm house with a large breakfast room and sitting room with conservatory. All the carpets and decor looked brand new. Definitely can give the highest recommendation and will stay there again

We liked everything.

Beautifully maintained, spacious and historical farm house, formerly of the Dutchy of Cornwall and thoughtful transformed into a 5 roomed well appointed Hotel/B&B overlooking Looe Island and the spectacular bay that has delighted so many holiday makers for many decades.

Narrow roads leading to the property from Looe will not be familiar to younger guests but patience, courtesy and care will ensure your safe arrival
