Elnor Guest House

We both had a terrific time and we were made to feel so welcome by Susan and Ted during our stay with them. Nothing was too much trouble whenever we asked anything. Our room was bright, comfortable and spacious and wonderfully prepared. Our breakfast was plentiful and delicious and presented so professionally. We couldn't thank them more for helping to make our holiday such a memorable one. Our stay with them was such a delight. Liskeard is a great place to base your stay for anyone wanting to visit Cornwall.

The best thing about Elnor is the properietors. I had stayed in Liskeard before, quite possibly in the same place under a previous management, and I couldn't recall a single thing about it. But this time the proprietors were welcoming, friendly, and adjusted their work pattern a little to suit me, and that's the sort of thing that gets you coming back. I am probably still in the market for the occasional stay in Liskeard and would have no hesitation coming back here.

You get what you pay for, and I was paying a good economic price....

Lovely, friendly accommodating hosts. nice and clean property with a good cooked breakfast on offer. Free to use car park on site. The new owners are improving the property well.

bathroom a little tight, could have been better design . but this is no fault of the current owners who are freshening up the property. Possibly more flexibility on breakfast times. A fan would have been good as it was very warm on the days we were there.

Ideally located for Liskeard and the train station. Nice friendly welcome, excellent service all round. Clean, fresh room with everything you could need set up. Some nice little touches such as a luggage mat on the bed. And the breakfast was amazing - well worth the absolute bargain price.

There was some road noise but this reduced at night, but could be an issue if you're a light sleeper - not the guest house's fault of course.

The room was wonderfully renovated and decorated. Our hosts were very very friendly and gave us a most warm welcome and made us feel at home. The breakfast was freshly cooked according to our whishes and delicious. Village center, pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Food at Wetherspoons served until 11 p.m. which saved us from starvation ;-) Spacious parking.

The hotel looks a bit old from outside. But the inside makes up for it :-)

The bed was very comfortable and the staff were amazing! They made me feel very welcome after a long day at work and did everything they could to make sure I felt safe with high levels of covid safety. My room was very light and airy with 2 big windows. The breakfast was perfect and it set me up for a long day.

The shower and hot water was a little disappointing. When ever I used the hot water there would be a very loud sound coming from the toilet, the noise would sound for a few seconds and then stop, this continued for a few moments after I turned the shower off, it happened with the tap as well. Also the shower drain was very slow so I had to have a speedy shower which was fine as it woke me up in the morning. It may just have a clog or a slow drain.

Breakfast was excellent - a great full English. The room was small but quite adequate and was shown accurately on the picture on their website. Everything was spotlessly clean. In the bathroom the shower was fine. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Another perfect stay. Friendly welcome, couldn't do enough for you. Spotlessly clean, with all the facilities you could need. Perfectly situated for me, close to railway station but quiet enough to relax. Gorgeous breakfast with plenty of choices, really couldn't fault a thing.

The staff was very kind, nice and friendly. The breakfast was delicious. The room was big, very clean ( spotless actually- you don't see everyday this thing). We had a problem with the car battery, the staff was kind and help us with an advise, they invite us the stay in the waiting room till AA arrived, offered water, coffee etc. Thank you guys again for everything x

My wife and I had a very pleasant overnight stay here. The location was perfect, only being a short walk into town. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was of a very good standard. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Would recommend. Off road private parking was a welcome bonus.
