The style and decor of the hotel The staff and how friendly and super efficient they were The food This hotel is an absolute gem. From the exceptionally warm and friendly greeting on our arrival (you have a real star in Claire - she is fantastic 🤩) to all of the friendly, super efficient staff (must mention Amy too - another credit to you) Our room was beautiful and very comfortable (No.8) I booked the restaurant for a celebration meal in the evening and although the whole place was very busy, the quality of the food, service and attention to detail was perfect. Great atmosphere too!

I cannot find one thing that I didn't like about this little gem 😊

Such lovely and attentive staff. Lovely boutique hotel and beautiful rooms .We stayed and attended a wedding at vaulty Manor. We were phoned a few days prior to check in to ask if we required a dinner reservation at the brasserie, which i thought was really nice.Dropped our car off at 3 pm. and checked in , and the receptionist had been trying to arrange for a cab to return for the night. When they all said they were busy.. the restaurant manager Antonio insisted on taking us to the venue himself.The hotel couldn't do more for you. Will definitely be returning .

If I had to be super picky. The room was a little hot.A fan was provided, but it was a very tiny stand-up fan, which was broken, so it would constantly be set to swivel.

The staff there were friendly and so helpful. Sadly I didn’t get any names but when we arrived at the property the gentleman that was at the desk to check us in was very helpful and helped take some of our bags to our room. We had a very lovely experience at dinner, the lady who helped take our orders was very friendly and helped me pick out what I wanted to have. I enjoyed the recommendation she gave. The gentlemen who I’m guessing was the manger, was very friendly and made sure my partner and I enjoyed our meal. I would definitely eat at the restaurant again. Even before we got there, I had contacted the hotel to inform them I had lost my cards and the lady I had spoken to was very nice. The lady was also the one who checked us out on our last day, so she was understanding of the situation. Due to me losing my card and not having it, my partner had to pay.

The room was on the small side and so was the bed. What didn’t help was, that the people directly above us were playing their (“old time” - vintage music) music until 11:30pm. Luckily I had some ear plugs with us. The walls are pretty thin, so you could hear what was happening next door or above.

The welcome was warm and the small reception area inviting. The hotel is tastefully decorated throughout and very clean. Parking was not an issue there are spaces at the entrance and at the side of the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff both in the hotel and the restaurant. The two bedrooms I saw were beautifully decorated, inviting and comfortable. Luxuriously soft towels and crisp white sheets. The always helpful Henry immediately resolved an issue we had with the shower by a change of room. Customer service at its best. Every member of staff we encountered at the establishment was exceptional. We took dinner in the Brasserie on the second evening. The ambience and decor there was really nice. This was indeed fine dining as advertised but not stuffy. Well presented as you would expect and so tasty. In fact, we have spoken about the gorgeous dessert - Maldon sea salt caramel tart - several times since! We had dined from the a la carte menu, however, there was also a six course tasting menu on offer, which we would hope to experience on our next visit. Overall a lovely, relaxed stay.

There was nothing that we didn't like. I maybe should flag up the lack of a lift and that the stairs are very steep, especially up to the top floor. However, this is to be expected with a Grade II listed 300 year old building.

Good hotel for business and pleasure. Rooms are "cozy" due to old style building however the facilities are perfect and cater for all needs. Great (and very tasty) evening meal in the very nice restaurant. Just a shame I wasn't able to try the Tasting Menu as it's looked fabulous.

Choice for breakfast was limited and I didn't feel the Full English was value for money for what you receive, however there is unlimited toast and cereal if you have a "hearty appetite". Food and drinks could be deemed as "pricey" however for the quality offered it's not too bad.

Staff were very welcoming! We used the restaurant for dinner, the main course only as we were going to a party later that evening, it was delicious and presented well. Breakfast was also very good. We chose the full English, fruit and yoghurt which was amazing too. Rooms were really comfortable and ideal for a treat to celebrate. I definitely book again if I need to stay near Maldon. Thank you

We didn't get asked to add our car registration details until our friend mentioned it to us, who checked in later. All good once we updated it.

As soon as you walk in your greeted by very curtious staff and helpful, I'm allergic to feather and there was a lovely letter left on our bed stating everything in the bedding was no feathers and hope I was comfortable. The room was very comfortable and we had a wedding to attend, so getting back in the hotel on our return was so easy with a special code. The breakfast in the morning was outstanding again the staff where excellent. All in all we had a very satisfying stay.

A lovely stay because of a wonderful team . Their Customer Service was exceptional . Warm , welcoming and friendly. They were all brilliant. Food was excellent.. internal renovations very impressive .

So glad that we did stay here tho we almost did not go in.Hotel’s location not quite what we expected , in a business park.From the outside the hotel looked a little tired , almost went to look for another hotel. But the reviews had been so good. So very glad that we did stay at this hotel .

Very clean everywhere. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially the receptionist. She went out of her way to try to help.

On a busy road so noisy with window open. Room was on the second floor and only steep stairs to get there. It was very hot in the room and no air conditioning in that floor. Would have liked more variety at breakfast there were no pastries or croissant and rolls.

Great location, nice room and bathroom. The hotel needs to clone Emma as she is a really really great part of their team. Food was mostly nice. Wine list exceptional.

My lamb main, although well seasoned and an excellent cut of meat was rested 5-7mins longer than needed which resulted in it being over cooked. Chocolate mousse was disappointing as it needed maybe a compote or coulis to help it improve.
