Room, comfortable, warm, clean, good nights sleep. Friendly staff on arrival.

That I wasn't in an outside room, didn't know at booking that I had a room in the pub. Outside room would have been preferable because of my luggage. I had stayed there before and had an outside room. Please make clear room allocation at time of booking. The sink in the bathroom didn't empty properly, the shower sprayed water over the bathroom floor, there was a lot of banging noise after 8 am, the staff on duty at check out didn't ask about my experience.

The room was fantastic, even better than expected. Much more like a private motel than a hotel room. Parking was directly outside so very accessible, and the coast is 5 minutes walk away. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and while I didn't take advantage of the restaurant the bar had a nice atmosphere and the free wi-fi was handy.

I don't think there is anything I can fault. I got everything I paid for and more.

Our room was spacious and very clean. The bed was comfortable, there was plenty of storage space in the room and nice big towels for the shower. Also, the hairdryer was located near a mirror, which is often something lacking in a hotel room. There were spare accessible sockets available for phone chargers etc.

The towel rail in the bathroom was very hot most of the time and we couldn’t find a way to turn it down. There is a minimal self service breakfast offer in the week but there are cafes in the town where you can get a good breakfast if you want something cooked. Especially recommend the Bistro on the Quay which is about 10 minute walk.

Really friendly team, even when clearly busy at the bar Friday night. Shower pressure was amazing, really strong and good / easy to adjust temperature. Cookies are yummy!

The room was very hot and the windows appeared to be on a locked latch, so could not open (a fan was provided). A little noisy. Car park is tight - was grateful for parking sensors! Would have been nice to have some herbal teas also provided.

The shower was fantastic, we really appreciated the power shower during the hot weather.

Minimal parking at the hotel. Had to park on nearby roads for duration of the stay. No full length mirror in the room. Breakfast was not included and had to pay an additional cost for two mornings.

Excellent food, we had a lovely meal there. Room modern, spacious, comfortable, cleaned every day with change of towels. Free parking although spaces not always available.

Breakfast a bit average, could be improved with croissants, pain au chocolate or just nicer breads in place of the couple of shop bought loafs. Not a major issue though.

Breakfast was ok. It would have been nice to have had a bowl of fresh fruit cut up. No butter on the toast for poached eggs. Staff very good at the bar and on reception. Lovely food in the restaurant.

A little more choice at breakfast bar. A little cramped when several people there.

Lovely place to stay, very clean and comfortable with friendly, helpful staff. The veggie sharing platter for dinner was delicious! Great shower, no noise from other rooms.

We assumed breakfast was included as we were told we'd be charged for "anything cooked" and so just had cereal. We were charged £9 at checkout for this so would recommend travellers check breakfast costs in advance as it wasn't especially clear. You're on a main street (albeit in a quiet town) so if you're a very light sleeper you might want to take ear plugs. It didn't trouble us at all though.

Size of room and enormous bed. Very nice bathroom - personally would prefer a hand-held rather than 'rain' shower, but very well appointed otherwise. Bedroom was 'outside' with car parking immediately outside which is very convenient for handling luggage etc. The food was also very good - very good service throughout.

Nothing really

Beautifully well furnished and decorated enormous clean rooms, with excellent bathroom. Brilliant staff, every single person was helpful and hospitable. The food was great, the drinks and service in the restaurant good. We'd definitely come back here.

We'd have loved instant porridge and plain yoghurt as options on the simple ( and very reasonably priced) breakfast. But really, it was all good here. Highly recommend it.
