I booked for 1 night at this b & b, I hadn't actually stayed here as unfortunately there was a problem with the room but Christine rang me up to explain the situation and had booked me elsewhere which was 200yds up the road and more expensive. Christine had arranged this for me with no extra cost. When I arrived at the b & b which was booked by Christine she had left me and my husband a little gift which was a breakfast which was very thoughtful. I will of course book the Southend airport b & b if I'm in the area. Thanks again I have really appreciated what you done for us, thank you Marie

The B and B was beautifully presented. Nicely decorated, fresh and clean with a large well supplied bathroom and shower. Towels supplied in room. The hosts were very welcoming, friendly and informative about the area. Wifi was easy to access with a code in the room. Plenty of tea, coffee and milk with kettle in the room. Eating house/large pub just 2 minutes walk away with varied menu. Only one or two options for Vegans. Interesting view of the horses, trains and airport at the back of the property and not too noisy. Despite the occasion train, we slept well.

No complaints as price was very reasonable for the room.

Nice clean room, not en suite - a good comfy bed, and the owners were very pleasant and advised me where to go to eat which was across the road. The unusual aspect was that it was situated at the end of the Airport Runway, and also a train runs along the coast at bottom of the garden. It was an enjoyable stay and location

Room was abit tight for a double room, but being on my own was fine. not sure how we would have managed if there had been two of us. Was not a proper Breakfast of which was explained to me later. A Continental Breakfast which is adequate, but would be better to do a full English breakfast for those who want it. To me it was an ideal location for workers wanting a place to stay who were here to do a job in the area. Was told after booking there was an extra payment due to a mixup with Booking.com. I agreed to pay it as I was driving to the B&B at the time! But was later refunded it

Friendly host. small but clean room with electric kettle, tea, coffee and bottle of water as a bonus 😊. share big clean bathroom, clean towels. continental breakfast was fine. Not really noisy from trains or flights at night, start from 7am. But the noise from floor, doors and bathroom was very disturbing. Next door people were very annoying by walking and making noise up to 1:30 am. In general very good for short stay.

For breakfast will be nice to have some slices of meat and souses, and yoghurt was missing

I had a fantastic overnight stay at the Southend Airport Bed & Breakfast. Communications and Instructions given by our wonderful host, Christine were perfect enabling us to gain access to our rooms with no issues whatsoever. The facilities and rooms were very clean with towels, TV and coffee making facilities provided. The Bathroom is shared, but again very clean with all amenities for you to use. All Good and great value for money. Due to an early start, we had a light breakfast of coffee and toast, with cereals, jams, croissants etc made available. Our host, Christine, was such a nice, warm person who made you feel welcome and at home. Yes, we will be definitely be staying here again as it is a Lovely Hidden Gem. x

Nothing to dislike.

It was two minutes walk from a relative’s and local to the small town centre of Rochford . I was able to look out on the airport runway, to watch a few birds and a horse, across the guesthouse garden. My room was quiet mostly considering it’s proximity to the airport, the hosts were pleasant, attentive to individual needs and tried their best to reassure me when a booking problem arose. I was frightened I’d been computer scammed due to the booking.com site having initially agreed to my debit card payment being sound/in order, then the payment being rejected. Booking.com sent several payment rejection messages after an error on my card had been corrected with the host.

the friendliness, welcome and helpfulness of the owners (and their dog!) Super continental breakfast and very good coffee.

Did not realise that there was the potentiality of sharing the bathroom with three other rooms. We were lucky in that we did not bump into anyone else during our stay, even though there was other folk in another room. The bathroom is large - a bath and shower which is nice - lots of hot water - lots of toiletries/even toothbrushes available.

Reasonable price in a convenient location. Christine was very friendly and helpful on arrival, she showed me my room, the bathroom and dining room for breakfast or just coffee if needed. She explained all the nearby amenities should I want to go out to eat etc. The whole place was spotless and the bed clean and comfortable, the room had everything needed and as they live there, it does make this a safe place to stay especially for lone travellers.

A shared bathroom may not suit everyone, I admit I did hesitate when booking. However it was spotless and kept that way throughout my stay. There was another guest staying at the same time as me, but the bathroom was free every time I wanted to use it, so I had no problems at all with this.

The warmest of welcomes from lovely kind and genuine hosts, beautiful home immaculately kept, enormous choice of delicious breakfast food, good free parking, pretty quiet despite airport runway nearby, all great value. Excellent restaurant/pub across the road ideal for evening meal - offer two £8 meals for £12-- we have paid over £12 each elsewhere for not so nice! We'll definitely return next year if the chess congress is on again.

You'd have to be very picky to find anything to dislike-- bed was comfortable but we are used to a much bigger one... there again, a bigger one wouldn't fit into the room, which was nevertheless adequate.

I was very happy with the location and the self service breakfast was very good and plenty of choice , the room I was also happy with ,concidering the airport was also at the rear I found it a quiet room to stay in, the host are great and accomadating , very handy with the pub the very close for evening meal . yes a great stay.

there is nothing I disliked about the southend airport b and b.
