Beautifully presented room and en-suite leading onto shared pebbled courtyard. Fab location behind sea/riverfront pub. Room lovely and clean. Breakfast taken outside was very high quality and as good as we have had in any B&B.

I think the shared courtyard can be used by guests with dogs and unfortunately one had paid a visit and left a deposit pretty much outside our door! Appreciate this cannot be helped but generally the courtyard was a bit shabby and unloved and deserves a bit more care and attention to bring it in line with the quality of the room. We were in a downstairs room and there was a fair bit of noise from the upstairs occupants as I don’t think there’s any carpet upstairs, and when they were repeatedly climbing the staircase.

We stayed in the family suite for 1 night to attend a wedding nearby, it was a great layout with good sized double on ground floor which opened onto a shared courtyard area with tables. The ground floor also had a shower room with a good shower with plenty of hot water. Upstairs was a small twin room which would be great for children. The courtyard is next to the pub’s play area which would be very convenient. Breakfast was included and was very tasty and generous, we also had a lunch there which was also very good. All staff we met were really helpful and welcoming and accommodated us arriving a bit earlier than check in as we needed to attend the wedding. The location is also great overlooking the water with boats nearby, definitely worth staying for longer if in the area. I thought it was great value given the standard of accommodation and location.

honestly don’t know where to start! the staff were absolutely amazing, very welcoming and helpful in all areas! we ordered breakfast to our room with no problem, the food was great and VERY filling. me and my partner bought our 2 dogs along so we had a garden room which was great for them. very easy access and comfortable for both me and my partner and our dogs! we ended up extending our stay last minute, lucky for us they just about had availability and didn’t cost us much more. The room was very clean, wouldn’t even know any pets were there before us! cannot wait to come back !

Loved it all

We were planning our stay as a romantic anniversary getaway. But childcare issues meant we ended up bringing our son along. The staff were lovely about preparing a camp bed for him and including him at no extra charge. It was a great room too - lots of natural light and direct access via a shared balcony overlooking the water.

This is a room above a pub, and it was Saturday night so a bit of noise can be expected. We could certainly hear the people next door (or maybe downstairs) playing their tunes. If you're sensitive to noise it might be worth bringing earplugs

Everything about the room was fantastic. Clean and tidy, nice bathroom, and lovely views from the sea view balcony. Staff were friendly and professional. Peaceful location to get away from it all. The breakfast was great value.

Car park was very small with no spaces available so we had to park quite far away but luckily didn't have a lot of luggage to bring. The check in process was a bit slow and took a while for staff to attend to us to check in - do understand it was busy when we arrived though with a big queue for the bar.

Great views, warm rooms and generally a lovely room with great shower and wash facilities, and loved the alternate exit to leave the building via the on-suite balcony stairs. A lovely warm room, fantastic after a bracing walk along the coast road, (which we did), and opening windows if you want it cooler. Breakfast included was well cooked and presented by friendly staff.

All very minor 'problems' only mentioning them as an aside. Slightly lumpy bed (probably a spring or something, but then, im no delicate waif so probably found more than usual, and my wife (who is both much more lightweight and picky over her mattresses) slept well. Shame there was no cosy or 'snug' bar to sit in. Nothing wrong with the bar areas at all, but a classic blazing log fire and deep button leather sofas cant be beaten in the winter! Like I say, nothing terrible.

Myself, my partner and our son and dog decided we were going to go away for the night last minute. When we went to check in we were advised there was a glitch with booking.com showing which rooms were dog friendly and which weren’t. so the room we booked wasn’t actually a dog friendly room. The manager quickly found us another room that was more suitable and we had a very comfortable stay. So much so we decided to book another night. The manager couldn’t be more friendly and accommodating and the staff were lovely and friendly too. Breakfast and dinner was great, would recommend.

nothing.

Friendly welcome and shown to our beautiful room that had a shared balcony overlooking the water. We sat out with a bottle of wine and watched the sun set, fantastic to be able to do this late October. We had a wonderful dinner, delicious and plentiful at a good price. Breakfast was good but they added hollandaise sauce over my ‘Archie’ Muffin selection after I asked for no marmite, shame as destroyed the taste of the fresh eggs. Hubby’s full breakfast was spot on, excellent quality sausages and bacon and not for the faint hearted. Great nights sleep in a very comfy bed and a powerful shower en-suite. Great hotel and we will return for sure.

Slightly limited on the menu but what they offer is delicious. Would have been nice to have cereal and pastries and fruit and yoghurt options for breakfast.

A fantastic view of the harbour, and a sunset (if it was not cloudy lol). A very clean and large shower/bathroom A brilliant location: Just a few minutes walk to the old village, and 10-15 minute walk to the shops. Fantastic food. We got there very early and parked in the car park, which gets VERY busy, but the vehicles come and go throughout the day. Mostly busy between 1200-1500, and then 1700-2000. You will get a space, but take note it is busy. Had the Full English when we got there, it was very well cooked, great portions, and proper tasty. The next morning we had Eggs Benedict, which was absolutely scrumptious! I could definitely eat their breakfasts every morning! The staff were so friendly and polite. Very happy to serve you. A great selection of beers at the bar, whether you like lager, or proper beer :) The play area at the back for kids was large, and looked so much fun! Alas, the wife would not let me play on it though :(
