Hello Hotel

Friendly and helpful staff, I asked for more pillows and they were there within minutes. Breakfast was takeaway, just pick it up from the reception you can order the night before. Three choices available, we had sausage and bacon bap, with orange juice and a small muffin which we enjoyed. Plenty of access to coffee and tea and a place to sit in the reception area. The room was spacious. The shower was easy to get to the right temperature. Plenty of storage. Parking was near with plenty of spaces available. There is a pub next door where you can get a meal and a garage that has groceries 5 minutes walking distance. Overall we had a lovely stay and we would stay there again.

The room was too hot and near a busy road. However there was a fan available in the room which we put on for most of our stay, this cooled the room and drowned out the traffic noise! The shower was over the bath which makes it more difficult to get into safely, would be better with some handrails. There was a brown mark on the carpet. The bed was a bit too high.

The hotel was located close (<5 miles car drive) to Graystone Action Sports where I went to a competition event with my son. The room was huge, the bed was very comfortable, and every detail in the room and bathroom had been thought carefully of and best choices done in terms of quality materials used and usefulness/comfort (e.g hairdryer in front of mirror, excellent water pressure in the shower, TV on wall in front of the bed, extra pillows available, kettle for tea if wished, dark curtain at windows)

The breakfast was bagged to take on the go. I would much prefer for the breakfast to be served in the restaurant, in non-disposable dishes, with real coffee instead of soluble one, with warm milk and glasses to pour the orange juice.

Great that parking is free and the rooms are spacious. It is also a good location as not in the busy centre but easy to get to it. We had some issues when there with our car and a staff member called Claire was lovely when we told her and nothing was too much of an ask when we had to change our plans and stay in. Room was left tidy when we came back after being out.

Our room was a little outdated and could do with a paint on the walls, window etc and a little bit of a more thorough wipe down before a new guest comes in as we noticed some marks along the outside of the bathroom door that just wiped clean so no need to get them to do it. Breakfast roll also was not great and we had to have toast the next two days. More breakfast variety would be good.

The lady on reception on the Friday afternoon and evening, and the Sunday daytime was brilliant. The bed was large and comfortable. Our room was a decent size too. Also good to see blackout curtains.

Although I'd given my dietary requirements in advance, and they had a note on the system, they didn't have any gluten free bread for breakfast or proper sausages so I could only have some bacon. Also no lactose free milk so had to have oat milk which is only passable. I like the option of the grab and go breakfast but there should be the option to sit and eat breakfast properly too. Is the grab and go left over from COVID times? Also a plug socket on both sides of the bed would be good. The hotel only has one member of staff on the reception so it isn't great for them when the random naughty teens come in and cause issue.

Great location with bus stop right across the road. Cost £2.00 each to get to city centre. Hotel is joined on to the most stylish restaurant and bar with outdoor seating. Staff couldn’t have done more for you and there is options for everyone. Free tea, coffee and cold water all day everyday which was a nice touch and fridge in the room to keep complimentary water cold. For a budget hotel they have thought of absolutely everything. Would definitely stay again.

Can hear people coming in at 4/5am and took them a while to settle but that wasn’t the hotels fault.

The staff was very gentle and helpfull and they were always available, the grab and go breakfast was good, also we had tea or coffee( for those who like) in our rooms, the location was perfect for us because we had a bus right to the center and other bus options, to other places, near the hotel. The housekeeper was so kind and she would provide you everything you need.

The only thing i think that could improve is the carpet cleaning and if they had a small fridge or minibar in the rooms whould be nice besides that nothing to point .

Our room was comfortable and the provision of a fan, as it was very warm, was welcome. The beds were fine. Breakfast wasn't quite as expected as you pre-order on check in for the following morning. Very easy and straightforward and both Clare at check in and the gentleman on duty in the morning were friendly, efficient and courteous. We had a lovely meal in Alberts where the staff were also excellent. Easy parking and the hotel was in a good location for where we had to get to.

It was a pity that the cot requested hadn't been put in our room but it wasn't a big problem as we had a travel cot with us in case.

As this hotel was so reasonably priced I have to say I wasn't expecting much and while it wasn't a luxury resort the room was well appointed clean and comfortable. I had a great nights sleep. In the past the grab and go breakfast bags I have been offered have left a lot to be desired but here, they were brilliant a warm sausage barmcake/roll and juice a muffin and coffee and it was all super tasty. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back a great little hotel offering fantastic value for money

It was quite warm in the room and although a desk fan was provided air con would be nice. However for the price there are no complaints from me

The warm welcome and great hospitality from the start, very accommodating for two girls getting ready to go out -sufficient plug sockets, good lighting, full length mirror and the single beds were actually really comfy too. The grab and go breakfast was fully welcomed waking up with a hangover to cure-did just the job very filling and tasty. Staff at the hotel’s front desk were so welcoming and happy to help - ice/extra towels/taxi ordering-nothing was too much trouble. Overall it was a wonderful stay and absolutely excellent value for money with an enjoyable sustainable breakfast. oh and free on site parking - added bonus.

It was just a little further away to B.E.C than we’d have liked but other than that can’t fault the property or Hotelier staff.

Great location, easy access to motorways for onward travel. Superb adjacent restaurant with the best meal and service we have ever had. Quiet location, we slept with window open all night and heard bird song in the morning. I didn't notice until the morning, although we didn't need it, but they even offer the use of DVDs or a game console.

I was concerned about the grab and go breakfast as we are gluten free. Bit it was actually superb. The reception staff were so helpful. Sourced the best rolls we have ever had, piping hot tasty bacon and swapped out the juice as well as my daughter is allergic to orange juice. All very easy. Really tasty and even the wrapping was compostable.
